I have been to Clip & Curl twice and was lucky to have Martha cut my hair in these two visits. She is such a lovely, professional and passionate hairstylist. Even though I have moved out of Guildford, I will still take the time to go back for an awesome haircut. It is worth it.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Dessi who does my hair is fantastic! Her sense for colour and skill for styling, whilst subtly incorporating the current trends, is OUTSTANDING!!!! I commute from the other end of Surrey to have my hair done with her.. the logistics are worth it because she is absolutely amazing. Last time she cut my very long hair so that I can donate it and I left Dessi’s with a bouncy balayaged bob that felt like a true statement! I have been enjoying the compliments since!!!!!! ❤️

Today was my first time here. Anca, a barber for 30 years, made me feel welcome and offered me a drink before we started. She cut my hair and trimmed my beard. I had my nose and ears waxed too. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you.

Really pleased with my cut. I stopped in as a walk in, place had a good vibe, cuts usually make me nervous, but I had a positive experience. Offered a drink which made me feel relaxed. Then my hair was cut by Rocky. Had good conversation and some good recommendations on holiday destinations and places to eat. A good price. Yeah really good experience. Thank you.

Fantastic barbers! My son had the best haircut he's ever had, and the female stylist gave my daughter a stunning cut as well. The attention to detail and skill were truly impressive. I loved every minute of my experience with Jade today. She talked through what I wanted to be done with my hair and listened throughout. She was super friendly, communicative, and is a natural at what she does. I am so pleased with the colour of my hair now, and she even helped trim the ends, which has made such a difference. I got the best blow dry at Elem Guildford today. Katarzyna provided me with a very relaxing neck and shoulder massage before washing my hair. She did a great job with the style and it looks very shiny and smooth. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere of the salon is very nice. Love the place and highly recommend. Never visited a salon before and Amelie was just amazing. My hair is spectacular. Had a full head balayage, it’s just perfect. She was very professional and so passionate about hair and it truly showed in her work. What a talent! 10/10 will be coming back again!

All staff members were incredibly polite. The assistant that washed my hair made sure of asking me if I was okay with every step of the process, from water temperature to the pressure while massaging my scalp. Gareth, my hairdresser, was courteous and listened to what I wanted. We had a very pleasant conversation throughout and the result is fabulous.

To begin, I had a slight concern that the hairstyle I received was not precisely what I had envisioned. However, Lottie was called to assist, and the matter was resolved in a cordial and professional manner, which I greatly appreciate. Additionally, while Grace washed my hair, I noticed that she did not offer a back massage, even though the chair was equipped with the appropriate feature. Furthermore, she did not inquire about the water temperature, which was unfortunately too hot for my comfort. Despite these minor issues, I must say that my overall experience was still enjoyable. Wonderful welcome and kind, caring service at reception. I was nervous about having a guy do my hair, I was a bit self conscious. Receptionist was understanding and so encouraging. James put me at ease immediately. I gained fab tips and advice in the first few minutes, resulting in a cut as well as a blow dry. Great chat but also let me just be when I closed my eyes to enjoy in the moment. (The head massage is the highlight for me in the hair experience, and I missed this). Felt great, hair looked great when I left with yet more advice for helping the look last. Fabulous all round.

As always, a visit to Julia Lampard’s salon is something to look forward to. The music is jazz, blues influenced but never intrusive. Tea is served in a cup and saucer with teapot and milk jug and that’s before I’ve even had my hair touched! Alice knew exactly what I meant when I asked her to make my hair look thicker and gave me a style that is versatile and yet groomed and flattering. I’ve been having my hair cut and highlighted at the salon for 6 years now and have never found it to be less than exceptional.

Came in today for the first time as I have recently moved to the area. The atmosphere was so lovely and the salon is very welcoming. All staff were so friendly as I entered. Ellie did my hair today and was so lovely from start to finish checking I was happy with the length of the cut and the style as well as having a lovely chat about our lives. Yesterday I had an appointment with Milly and I had such a great time! I have a pretty difficult hair, as it was pink for many years, but now I wanted to change the colour. Milly was so professional all this time, and we took many sessions before to discuss what exactly we can do, the expectations and how we're going to do it. She did so much research and honestly, it's so appreciated to have a hairdresser who does that and really cares for your hair, thinking about it more like a project and not another day at work. In the end, removing the pink from my hair was the mission of a couple of other stylists at the salon. It's really nice to go somewhere, where the atmosphere is so friendly across staff, and they ask each other questions and second opinions and cooperate to give you the best service. Previously I went to Koko as well for haircuts and now if I ever have to go to another salon, I just show them a pic of myself with a haircut from Koko, because I loved it so much! I think it's the best hair salon in Guildford (I went because I got it recommended by someone else too) and I really enjoy going there. Shame I always kept on losing my loyalty card with stamps and had to get a new one every time, but now it's digital, so that's great too, lol.

Megan consistently goes above and beyond, always with a smile. Her dedication makes every visit to Koko a pleasant and relaxing experience. All the staff are very welcoming.
