My first experience at A Cut Above was amazing. I’m always nervous about trusting someone with my hair, but Emily was perfect! She listened to exactly how I wanted the cut which was the best cut I’ve had, and then got my colour spot on (also 6 months away from my wedding! So I’m incredibly grateful). She is so lovely plus talented, I will definitely be a repeat customer - I’m very happy to have found A Cut Above!

Excellent location with a lovely atmosphere—I adore the vintage angelic decor, and the place is impeccably clean! They do have a dog, so if you're not keen on dogs, it might not be for you. I had my hair done by Theodora, and she’s the kindest hairdresser I’ve ever come across, not to mention very talented! As a student in Hatfield, this will definitely be my go-to place for hair while I’m here.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, was instantly comfortable and the salon was gorgeous. Had a chat and a giggle with Amanda whilst she did my hair, which now looks amazing and healthy. Super happy, will 100% be back🫶🏼

I have been coming to Jo for electrolysis for a year now and I’ve never looked back. Best thing I’ve ever done. Initially coming 2-3 times per month and now only once per month. Jo has boosted my confidence and made me feel so much better in myself. Electrolysis is not a quick fix but it definitely has given me amazing results. Can’t recommend Jo enough. She also treated me after major surgery with massages and without her expertise, my recovery would have been much longer and painful. She’s one amazing therapist and always has the clients best interest at the forefront.

I've been visiting this salon for many years now and have always been amazed at the results. This is a very professional run salon, with friendly staff and stylists who will always take the time to ensure they know what look you are wanting in your visit to the salon. The salon is very elegant, bright and a cheerful place to visit. Everyone likes to go back to their own favourite stylist which I do, but over the years I have used various other stylist within the salon with always the same fantastic results! The staff always work as a team and use their many years of experience to assist each other if you are looking for something different in your style. The staff members right from the juniors to the senior staff members make the salon an enjoyable place to visit. You are always greeted with a friendly face. If your looking for a new salon to get a great look give them a go, you will not be disappointed.

Having recently moved to the Hertfordshire area, I have found it increasingly difficult to find top quality and reliable hair stylists who are committed and not only have the experience but are equally attentive to my styling requirements. Ann at Mirror Image has done an amazing job with the colour and style of my hair, I was very impressed with the results as well as relieved to find a salon where I did not have to constantly remind or guide the hairdresser on my expectations. Ann is an absolute perfectionist and pays utmost attention to detail (which is pretty reassuring when it comes to hair!) She also took the time to offer good, honest advice on my hair related needs. Many thanks and compliments to Ann and her team who were refreshingly welcoming and friendly whilst also maintaining a great degree of professionalism throughout the process.

After taking my two young grand children here for a haircut I cannot recommend this salon enough. Both my little ones are shy and hesitant especially with new experiences and I wasn’t expecting great things.. Ann was so patient, kind, and gentle engaging with them and made it a fun experience for both. The haircuts were quick and precise, and the results were adorable. Iv been going to monria for over a year now, and I had my hair done recently and the result was absolutely amazing! Was so happy with it. I had my hair washed cut and blow dried by Manu. She was Soo great and very professional, Loved the style she did on my hair and I felt I needed a change. Over all happy with the result and got so many compliments on my hair. I have been going to Monria now for over a year…I’ve had a wide range of treatments from spray tans to gel nails and threading. Priya did my eyebrows this week and I am delighted with them. I have no idea how you've done it but I absolutely adore my new haircut, once I leave the salon and have to wash it and style it myself I always regret cutting my hair short for a bit, until I find a way to style it... But not this time! Thank you so so much for showing me what to do to keep my fringe in place and all the tips on how to style it. The team is fantastic, everyone looks after you like you're their one and only customer, always making sure you're being looked after.
