I went in to see Simona today who did a great job colouring my hair. I wanted to go lighter to match my copper ends but she advised against adding any more bleach to protect my curls and feel like it was the right choice! Would highly recommend as she puts your hair health first. It came out perfect and I’m super happy with the colour.

I've been coming here for over a year now, Harry is an amazing stylist, who always takes care of my hair! I definitely recommend Harry, especially to all the southeast asian girlies who have jet black hair and want it blonde, it takes a bit of time to get the colour you want whilst maintaining healthy hair, but it's so worth it! Harry is your guy!

I recently had my hair done by Liz, who plaited it into single plaits. Given my busy schedule, it's often difficult to find time for hair appointments, but Liz was very accommodating and scheduled me for 7 AM. I was impressed with how quickly she worked, and by 11 AM, I was all done. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

Liz is very polite, skilled and her customer service is amazing. I have made my hair and my kids hair several times in this salon and I love the service. Sometimes it can difficult to find a great hairdresser for afro hair but Liz does the job very well. I highly recommend this salon if you want a stylist that gives quality professional service.

I've been coming to Martina for 4 years and am blown away every time I visit her, she is an extremely talented hair colourist and my hair has stayed in such good condition.

Went to Martina for first time recently, really happy with the colour and cut. I don’t get my hair done often so asked for very natural balayage and she did just that. Martina is really lovely too and the studio is gorgeous.

I have followed Martina everywhere she has gone for years (since she worked for a chain salon). I have been having my hair coloured since I was 14 (am 30 now) so have seen my fair share of stylists and colourists, and Martina is the best by far. She is an absolute colour expert and is always a joy to spend a couple of hours in the company of. She is also very helpful with colour up-keeping tips so that you can make her work last as long as possible.

Saron has been cutting and colouring my hair for the past two years. She is highly skilled, brilliant at listening to what you want and making helpful suggestions, and she is also a lovely person! I get highlights and the colour is always exactly what I want! I very much recommend!!

Saron is wonderful. So metticulous when colouring my hair, very careful and precise when cutting, as well as an ace blow dry whizz. We always have a lovely natter, she’s so genuine and warm, yet keeps things professional and never lets anything distract from her focus on my hair. Then, you’ll love to read this; What a hidden gem in the heart of Hackney. There are so many hairdressers out there but so little I feel I can trust and really difficult to find. Kevin owns and runs this shop which by the way looks so cool. I have long hair and I needed someone who really knows how to deal with men’s long hair. That person is Kevin. What a master! I can only recommend for those who live nearby or if they can easily arrive by London’s Overground to Hackney Central station. It is just in front. Kevin also does women’s hair so my wife has been booked for next week! Ah, book your appointment as no walk-ins are undertaken due a huge amount of people who has discovered what I did today. Ive been coming here a few years cuz it was my local salon in Hackney. Nice atmosphere and always good tunes on - makes a difference when you have to spend a while somewhere! I get my hair cut by James who’s super lovely and I’m always happy with the results.

Mel is a wizard. She is a strong and stable genius. She is creative, warm and open to any crazy and fun designs. Pay this woman to do your nails, brows, lashes or waxing - you won’t regret it! She takes such great care to make sure you’re happy with the finished result, and her BIAB lasts ages. Brow lamination is also super long lasting.

Mel is the best at BIAB and nail art! I always get compliments on every design she does, and they last for such a long time. Mel is so lovely, I've never been disappointed and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Erika is amazing, the best hairdresser I've had in London. She is very professional, listens carefully to what you'd like and always checks mid cut as well. I've been coming for cuts and colour for over a year and leave happy every time. As well as being professional she is lovely and very funny. The studio is also in a great location, relaxed and good options for coffee etc close by if you are there for a while getting colour done. Always a pleasure to visit Erika at Alkaline.

Recently moved to the area and was recommend Erika. She has managed to turn my difficult miserable curly hair in to a happy head of curls and colour ( balayage). Talia is the only hairdresser I’ve had where I’ve genuinely walked out happy. I first met her when she worked in the Greenwich shop and she did a great job colour correcting my hair. I’ve since then had a balayage which still looked great after 6 months! My third appointment with her and in love with my new hair 😍

Shedia at Dalston is the best - she's not only fantastic at colour, cut and styling she's super lovely and respectful of how you want to do things. I don't like to talk much when I go for my hair and after a quick catch up she leaves me in peace to enjoy the process of having my hair done and never makes me feel bad for doing so. She is always open to changes and again never makes you feel bad or uncomfortable for saying 'please can we change this'. She's great, the rest of the staff are always so welcoming, and can't do enough for you, always checking if you need a refreshed drink etc. Great salon, very reasonably priced, 100% recommend to anyone.

Got my hair done by Sarah at the Dalston branch and had such a lovely experience. Such a friendly and kind hairdresser who knows her stuff. It’s super affordable here for a cut and blow dry, so i def recommend. A beautiful space and beautiful team!
