Popped in after a long morning shopping at merry hill after seeing the lockside on facebook and what an amazing place. We had the most welcoming greeting from Matt who showed us straight to a table, dressed in shorts and a vest it's not the attire I was expecting but this was totally overshadowed and totally forgotten about due to his larger than life personality...Now on to the food I can honestly say that today at the lockside I had the Best rump steak I have ever eaten, even though the chef was probably cursing me for killing the meat I have it well done 🤣 it was amazing. There was not a morsel left on either of our plates. Absolutely fantastic if I could give more than 5🌟 I would. Only disappointment was I didn't have room left to try the cheesecake. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in the area. Our waiter was great even added to our order as it was being prepaired sorry I didn't catch his name but please pass on our thanks.

Went for our 2nd meal at lockside on Friday night (9/8/24) and was not left disappointed at all. From the second we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly, helpful waitress who guided us to our table and went through everything we needed to know. Drinks arrived promptly. We ordered 3 courses each and found each course absolutely exquisite. Steaks cooked a perfect medium rare. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Matt towards the end of our evening, who stopped by our table and checked we had been looked after and everything was OK. Can't fault the place at all. My partner and I, left very happy with full belly's and nothing but praise. Can't wait to return and looking forward to tackling the tomahawk!

One of the best eating out experiences we’ve had for a while! The service was top quality very attentive without being over bearing All very friendly from the moment we walked in! The atmosphere was great everyone happy and the theme inside and decor really tastefully done The food was absolutely spot on. My husband said it was the best steak he’s ever eaten! The burgers too were perfect and all the sides and deserts! Will recommend and will 100% return!

From the moment we walked into the restaurant Matt and his team made us feel so welcome. The food is fantastic and the portion sizes are extremely generous. The staff are all super friendly and very attentive. Big shout out to the lovely Thea who couldn’t do enough for us! Absolutely brilliant place. The atmosphere is calm and collected and the service was impeccable! My autistic 4 year old toddler came with us, and he was happily stimming vocally, banging the table etc and not one rude look was given, nor did anyone mumble under their breath! Wonderful place, I'll be returning again, VERY soon!
