Great pub! Went down hill for a while but thought I would give it another chance and so pleased I did .... Believe there is a new Manager now who knows what they're doing! ... Food was great lovely atmosphere and the staff were brilliant shall definitely be going back again very soon 🤗
Placed in a beautiful village, it's a great place for a pint after a tiring day at work or a meal with your friends or family. There's quite a choice of meals, meals are decent size for a very good price however (and unfortunately) quite bland in taste. Very friendly and helpful staff. The place in general is big, there are plenty of tables, both indoors and outdoors.
Booked a table for lunch online, which was very easy to do. The pub was clean and very homely. The lady and young lad who served us were both friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious and my 5oz steak was one of the best I've ever had. My friend had a mixed grill and couldn't eat it all as there was so much food. There were some great deals on wine and cocktails and I wished I didn't have to drive. We will definitely go for lunch again.
This pub was kind enough to let us stay here last here last night in our motorhome on the way down south from Yorkshire. We had a hearty burger which was very tasty & a very peaceful night sleep tucked in the corner of their carpark. Happily come here again, staff were lovely & very welcoming. Thanks again 👍
