Absolutely loved it. What an amazing place. The only eight sail windmill left in the country out of seventy. Went to a heritage open day: Small steam engines, flour milling, band playing. Shop selling produce and glorious cakes and scones made with the flour in the tea rooms. Like stepping back in time and enchanting.
Beautifully renovated and maintained. Well interpreted for all ages. Staff friendly and welcoming. Can purchase flour and baked goods make here. Very nice visit.
Fantastic experience to be able to go in this historic windmill and climb to to top. It wasn't in operation when we visited but they do have milling days where you can see it in action. They also have there own micro brewery in the old saw mill attached to the mill so you can enjoy a drink brewed here. They is a museum, bakery and cafe to enjoy also. All in all a great day out with much more than just a mill.
What a picturesque windmill. A beautiful day with perfect blue skies but unfortunately the windmill only opens Friday through Sunday and we visited on a Monday! That said it was lovely to see and get photos of but will have to return at another date to have the tour
Absolutely lovely place. Full of history. Great little place to come to. In the coffee shop the cakes are so delicious and are made using the mills flour. We will be back 😊😊
