Myself mum and dad came up here for a funeral and stayed at this B&B. What can I say. First class. We was met by the owner who was very friendly showed us our rooms and informed us of all the necessary information required for our stay. Rooms were very comfortable clean with a very modern contemporary twist. Beds where so comfortable and we had a good nights sleep with lovely fluffy pillows. Linen and towels were of a very good quality.. tea coffee making facilities were plentiful and galaxy hot chocolate biscuits and fresh water bottles were there also. Breakfast was amazing cooked to perfection with fresh fruit salad yogurt toast with all the condiments along with fresh ground coffee tea and fresh orange juice. All presented on beautiful crockery which made for an absolute pleasurable experience. We highly recommend this place. For us especially coming up from London for an overnight stay.

Lovely short winter stay. Our room was modern, comfortable, private and secure and we were made to feel very welcome. Great bathroom and shower with plenty of luxury towels. Beautiful bed. Excellent and generous breakfast and service. Free parking. Location great for exploring friendly Alford town and the Wolds. Thank you Paul and Nicky! We are happy to recommend and plan to rebook.

Paul and Nicky went above and beyond in service and kindness during our stay. No ask was too much and they made sure we were well looked after. The breakfast is yummy and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We’d highly recommend!

I've been in the UK a little over 3 years now, and this was honestly the best food I've had here! Every single thing was amazingly flavourful and cooked to perfection! Matt's Mega Box is the perfect option to have a taste of what they have to offer, and the whole rack of ribs was so delicious! Will definitely be frequenting this spot!

Quite simply the best takeaway food in the area.. the food is always super fresh, super tasty and generous in portion size. When we first found Cafe on the Cobbles we thought we had sturck gold and continue to use them regularly even though we have moved away from Alford. Emma and Owen always put a great box together with outstanding customer service at fantastically affordable prices. Keep doing it guys.. we love your food 🙂👍👍👍👍

Love it here... The food is delicious and portions are huge. They're really friendly and always seem genuinely pleased to see you. If you haven't already you must definitely try the tikka dirty fries. ❤️

Had Sunday lunch on 8/9 it was amazing. Plenty of fresh, home cooked food. Pudding list was so varied my husband had two as he couldn't choose. Again they were all homemade. Staff so friendly and welcoming as we are not from the area. If your passing id 100% recommend

the new owners/staff are really lovely and very helpful in accommodating myself as a vegan and my vegetarian partner. we did book ahead and advised them of our dietary requirements and had several choices available.. which was appreciated. a quaint village pub with home cooked food. it won't be our first visit.

Didn't have food. Stated in the area for a long weekend break. The landlord and land lady were so lovely, friendly and very welcoming. The pub itself was warm and comfortable, and the local people were incredibly nice. Also very dog friendly which is a bonus.

I would highly recommend the stables bar & restaurant. I went with my family to celebrate a number of birthdays. All the waiting staff were very welcoming, friendly and the service was great. We preordered our food as we were a large group and our food was delicious. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful, fabulous for relaxing and fantastic for the children with the space, park and animals. I would not hesitate in booking here again. What a lovely cozy, Christmas lunch! We were greeted with a bright smile from Jack, who made us feel very welcome. Tasteful Christmas decor and music surrounded us, together with a log fire burning in the corner... What a gorgeous atmosphere! We chose from the Weekday special menu, (lots of choice) which at two meals for £20 is excellent value. I had the Cottage Pie, which was absolutely delicious and the accompanying seasonal veg was perfect. The Hubster chose Thai Green Curry, always a winner for him. Hot drinks are also included in the price. Earl Grey Tea for me, Flat White for the Hubster (I told you it was great value!) We love it here and will definitely come again. Well done everyone

Really enjoyed the food even though we waited just over an hour for our starters. Me and my partner had prawn cocktails to start and a roast beef dinner as our main. It was worth the wait, heavenly mix of flavours and plenty of beef left us feeling well fed and satisfied. Provided with extra gravy upon request. The only thing I’d grumble about is the price £62 when the rest of our group seemed to pay less for the same, not sure if the server had put it in wrong when it was time to pay. Overall though a really pleasant experience, good job we had nothing planned in the afternoon.

Stumbled across this place on our way back from Mablethorpe. The staff were really nice, we sat outside with our dog and had hot drinks and scones, which were lovely. We were then greeted by the owners two border collies who were the absolutely cutest!. We would definitely recommend going if you are dog lovers/owners.

An excellent breakfast that was beautifully cooked, great service from the staff who are very happy to let you mix and match breakfast items if you wish to. Good selection of cakes, pies, pasties etc. Definitely a place to have a bite to eat whilst in Alford.

Great little cafe. Good food, freshly prepared and fab coffee. Quite quick too and very good value. Highly recommended stop off before the beach.

Came to visit my family who have raved about Angeline’s. And I can see why, the breakfast baps are made fresh there and then, the cakes are beautiful (the egg custard tart was so so good). Will be back each time we come back! Xx

We ordered breakfast baps for take out. They are so friendly in here, food is made to order and all very well priced! We spent £10 for 3 people! That is because 2 of us shared a large bap when we seen the sheer size of them. I would return and recommend for sure.

Came across the Willow Restaurant and Tea Room by chance. We were desperate for a cuppa and lunch, what a find! Really friendly people and great food with great service. My wife was really taken back with the little scissors to open the package of sauces. Really made our day thank you.

For a really nice lunch, tea and cake, visit Willows Tea room in Alford, the staff are very friendly and the service is brilliant. The sandwiches are very fresh and tasty too, the prices are extremely reasonable and I recommend you give it a try. Dogs are also welcome.

Fabulous little tea room in Alford. Dog friendly (bonus), lovely, freshly made food at a great price. Very friendly staff. We were there near closing time and they didn't rush us at all. Would highly recommend.

Always friendly, chips are great! One of the few places round here that doesn't follow the backward practice of frying in beef dripping - as a vegetarian, this is very much appreciated!!

We recently had the pleasure of fish and chips at the Jolly Friar in Alford, and what a trip down memory lane it was! The fish and chips were so crisp, you could hear the crunch over the wireless. The fish was flakier than the ration book promises, and the chips—well, they were the perfect shade of golden brown, just like a freshly pressed ARP warden's uniform. Now, let's talk about the spam fritters. It's not every day you come across a delicacy that reminds you of both the best and worst of the Blitz. These little beauties took me right back to the days when spam was king, and tinned peaches were a luxury! The fritters were fried to perfection, with just the right amount of grease to make you feel like you're doing your bit for the war effort. Just be sure to bring a healthy appetite and a sense of humour, because after a plate of their fish and chips, you'll be more stuffed than an evacuee's suitcase.

Decent hotel in a good location with ample parking. Rooms clean and functional Would benefit from bath sealant being refreshed Also needs coat hooks in room, it would then be perfect

Beautiful big garden centre. Maze and kids play area. Dog friendly. Cafe. Clean inside. Plenty of plants to choose from. We loved the little walk over the pond and the giant animal statues. Would 100% return if in the area again

We spent a lovely afternoon at Woodthorpe Garden Centre. Massive choice of unusual Xmas gifts and decorations. There is a big sleigh where you can take photos as well as other areas ideal for special pictures. Pavers shoes, clothing and pet departments as well as the usual garden centre made up most of the rest of the store. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. We'll definitely be going back regularly.

Lovely garden centre, friendly staff in all departments. Food very good. However didn't like listening the way the manager spoke to person looking after Carvery section, she spoke too loud and talked down to him.

A very nice place to visit and walk around even if you don't buy anything for your garden, there's plenty to look at.

Great family run pub, great choice of well poured and good quality beverages. Great schedule of entertainment and the best pub in the town. Always greeted by a smiley, friendly face. They also have a great beer garden which is awesome in summer time with entertainment and activities like Euro and world cup. Must try the Saturday night quiz.

Love going in here and taking in friends when they visit. Lovely little pub.

Very friendly local, the landlady was welcoming and shared information about local events. A nice place for a good pint.
