The food is average, but that’s normal for a pub – you can’t expect restaurant-quality food. We love The White Lion, one of our go-to places for its nice vibe, friendly service and atmosphere. We are quite new to Sawbridgeworth and also got to meet some very nice locals!
The pub was busy but not too packed so it was a good atmosphere. The food came and it was very hot and a good standard big potions. The best thing about the pub was probably the staff they were very attentive and friendly. Thank you
Great food and weather was nice so we ate outside. Ate there 2 days in a row during a 3 day visit. Food was great and service was very good.
Popped in a quick pint, and was pleased. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, the pub itself was clean, warm, and cosy, with a nice atmosphere. Perfectly (beautifully) poured Guinness was a bonus. Will definitely come back.
