First time here and probably won't be the last. The reception was nice, we didn't book a table in advance and we we're left to choose a table of our liking. We firstly sat in the garden which was OK but then we moved inside because it was a bit chilly. The interior is nicely decorated and looks great. The drinks were nice and food was great We had some starters which were superb. Main courses were just as good. We even had a nuttela pizzete as a desert which was a treat. Our server was nice and polite. We even left a nice tip at the end. Definitely worth a go.

We had a lovely lunch at this new restaurant! The place is lovely and they have very comfortable seats, mostly on comfy sofas and soft chairs. Also there is a nice terrace in the back part of the restaurant. The service is great and the staff are all friendly and hospitable. Food is really good, we had the garlic cheese bread which was absolutely fantastic. I had a great Milanese chicken served with ragù pasta, which was good & tasty and nice portion. All the food was fresh and good quality. Pizza also is good and crispy. Very family & kids friendly also, and perfect space for private party. We would definitely go back! Thank you guys

The food was absolutely delicious, so many flavours and the portion sizes were spot on. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. I didn’t catch their names but the 2 men in black shirts working last night were fantastic, thank you for making our evening special. We will definitely be returning

Her recommendations were spot on, and she made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. The food? Outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic Italian flavor. From the fresh pasta to the perfectly cooked mains and indulgent desserts, everything was top-tier. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. Had a vegan burger. Food was okish (please provide better quality of bread selection..). Really good coffee. Amazing scenery! Will come back for sure ✔️

The Team at Script Restaurant & Bar are simply awesome. We organised a birthday party and the team led by Filipe, restaurant manager, are all superb. From planning to execution, they were highly professional and organised. We had major allergy issues, something that Filipe managed superbly, even separating out foods for our son and serving him separately. Their attention to detail and care is unparalleled and the venue and location is second to none with ample parking for our guests.

This place is great, inside a golf club. The food is very good, one of the best salads I've had (I had the sunshine on a rainy day with beef on the side), and reasonably priced. Nice, chilled environment and dog-friendly. The staff are also very nice, giving my dog treats (it also has a doggy menu). Came back a few times and it's still nice, my dad had a soup but the bread with it wasn't as nice. The chocolate fondant was very good.

We held a large event here recently, booking out the entire restaurant. The team were amazing throughout the preparation. Meeting with the chef to create a bespoke menu and very accommodating to the dietary requirements of our guests. The restaurant looked amazing and is a very unique venue for a party. The food was amazing, plentiful and loved by all. Staff were great and all our guests commented on how great everything was. Special thanks to Felipe and Kerry for making everything run so smoothly on the night.

We went for Sunday lunch today as a last minute decision. I called to book and I was greeted on the phone with courtesy and efficency in securing a table. We were taken to our table by the manager who was polite, friendly and amenable. We felt welcome from the minute we stepped into the pub. All the staff greeted us with a big smile. Our meal was just excellent. I had the traditional roast beef with all the trimmings and all the elements on the dish were perfectly cooked. Nothing sat under a warming light for too long. The pass in the kitchen was fast and clean. Special acknowledgements to Saul and Sophia for their efficient, friendly, thoughtful care to ensure our experience was a positive one. They showed initiative and attentiveness making sure we had whatever we needed. They were just delightful and wonderful, well deserving of praise. In summary, excellent food at a great price and attentive staff made sure we will definitely return regularly.

Visited today for my mums birthday - we booked last minute after a change of plans. We had 3 courses and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend the Sunday roast and the sticky toffee! The service was great - special thanks to the two young guys (I didn’t catch their names but a really young lad and the barman with plaits) for looking after us. We will be back!

We sat in the garden which was absolutely gorgeous in the quiet village setting. Sophia our waitress was lovely and very friendly along with all the staff. Food was delicious, can’t fault it.

A lovely pub in a picturesque location. We attended a small family celebration and the staff were friendly, very helpful but a little forgetful when it came to our orders of drinks and food. Our meal was lovely, if expensive for the amount on the plates. The food seemed dwarfed by the size of the plate. I had the Spiced red lentil soup for my starter and for the main, braised beef and ale pie. I did think the bar had a good selection of low and alcohol free bottled beers on the drinks menu.

Stayed here for a couple of days with my daughter for a Easter break and what a lovely place this is! the staff are all very welcoming, my daughter has life threatening food allergies and the staff were so thorough , they cooked everything separately for her & made sure she was safe & she had a variety of things she could eat etc , they most certainly went the extra mile for us! , the room we stayed in was beautiful, very clean and an amazing shower! The food was very good, definitely recommend the red lion burger, and the locals are all very friendly it's such a great vibe! , if I could give more than 5 stars I would, we will definitely be visiting again, Georgina & Farleigh

I attended a function at this pub. It was very nice, the interior is nice and super cosy. Quite a posh pub. The function room is nice and big but could have better seating perhaps for more people (older people want to sit down). The food which you can order in platters for functions is really nice. However i would suggest that a lot of the items are served far too big meaning there’s not many of them and people don’t share, so many guests may end up with no food. It would be much better to have some of the foods smaller bite size, for example scotch eggs, pork pie and sausage rolls were way too big. If there is only 4 on a platter 4 people will eat 16 portions worth. So it looks nice but isn’t very good for hosting as all hosts want their guests to feel there is abundance of food. The meat platter in general needs better sizing of foodstuffs. But the fish platter is good. Service at the pub is very good

Stayed at the red lion as we were visiting Warner bros / Harry Potter , such a lovely place to stay , rooms are wonderful and stylish. Everything you could want , very clean and quiet despite there being a party downstairs. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Parking onsite , My daughter’s car got scratched in the car park Unfortunately the driver drove off without doing the descent thing . The hotel was very helpful in checking the cctv for insurance purposes. Would definitely return .

What a stunning pub with rooms. Probably the most luxurious pub with rooms I have ever stayed in. Would recommend every time. Staff, rooms, food and breakfast were all fantastic. Faultless! Thanks and well done!

Family reunion of eleven for a Saturday lunch. Food was enjoyed by all and was good value for money. Our waiter/ manager was pleasant and personable and went above and beyond to ensure that we all had a lovely dining experience. Family from overseas were impressed by the age of the pub and the cosy interior, especially on a cold January day. Would recommend.

I had heard good things about this pub and it didn’t disappoint. We went as a group of 4 for my mums birthday, the food and service was amazing. We all opted for a roast meal with a different cut of meat and they were all cooked to perfection with very good portion sizes. We were served by Nick, who was really friendly and a really good laugh who made us feel very welcome. My mum was also very thankful for the complimentary chocolate brownie for her birthday. We will definitely be back again soon.

I visited the Waggon and Horses for a birthday celebration and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Great food and service from Joshua and Vijay who were very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. A great location with a lovely garden. We will definitely be returning! Thanks to all the staff

We've been to Waggon & Horses a few times now and there's a reason!! The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. On this occasion I had the lamb roast and it was amazing and tasty. The surrounding area is so nice and they have a beer garden that looks lovely for the summer.

Lovely pub will definitely be returning. Clean and fantastic service by Hayden nothing was too much even when we decided to add to our order once our food had arrived. Service was very quick it was quite quiet because we arrived in the period between lunch and dinner. Would recommend to anyone.

Delightful place to eat, food is delicious. I had the special burger which was amazing and so tasty, with garlic bread and a Coke Zero. Parking is plentiful and free, indoor and outdoor seating. Service was very quick and staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Just had a little birthday meal, welcomed by the nice owner, sevlrved by a jolly lady. I had chicken in mushroom sauce, and vegetables. Chicken was nicely grilled, sauce was tasty. Place is very good. I know people who come to eat here from miles away. When very busy, can get a little noisy, but was perfect today...people probabaly stayed home to watch the Tennis.

A really solid experience. The food tasted authentic and was very tasty. My favourite being the cheesy calzone started and the tomato and pesto garlic bread. The pizzas were good, although slightly smaller than I anticipated - tasty nonetheless. I would go back.

I really enjoyed everything about this place. They have different style rooms depending on where you prefer to eat. I ordered the goats cheese and beetroot as the starter which was fantastic. I got the side of the tomato beef ragu pasta which was amazing but exactly the right size for my small appetite that day - they also brought a whole bowl of Parmesan for me to help myself. For dessert I ordered the brownie and doughballs with Nutella which came with icecream. I personally was not a fan of the brownie or the ice cream I wish there had been the option to just have a bowl of the doughballs as I had seen in other reviews as these were amazing. The tables were quite close together and it was really quite loud. I hope they invest in some sound absorbing panels. I would recommend and will be coming back.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had a Sunday roast and a 3 course meal. I had the nut roast, it was so tasty, it's nice to see pubs make an effort for veggies too. The presentation of food is great too. Lovely service, atmosphere and location too. Look forward to coming back soon.

Nice little deli! We had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel (of course!) and a salt beef one too. Both tasty - the salmon was melt-in-the-mouth good. My only criticism is that the bagels were a little doughy. Might try having them toasted next time. We'll have to try the chicken schnitzel, fish balls and potato latkes next time too, which all looked delicious.

Excellent catering for parties, the bagels and bridge rolls are delicious. Went above and beyond to make last minute adjustments and were very easy to deal with. Also very good food and place to eat in

I had the pleasure of visiting Noshers today for a quick bite with a group of friends. I ordered the Salt Beef Plate which was delicious. They had a wide variety of salads that tasted very fresh. The 2 young ladies were friendly and polite and gave us suggestions with the menu and food. Will be coming here again!
