Very good authentic BBQ, maybe a little pricey but you do feel like the quality is good so it's mostly worth it. Had a sharing platter to myself and was very satisfied and had a beef rib to take home for a snack later! Would definitely come back as a treat!

The food here was pretty good, but not exceptional. The fried chicken starter was pretty good, while the Louisiana Shrimp toast was nice but extortionate for £12.50. We got the Texas Tray, and the short rib was a standout as it was delicious, so tender and had a great flavour. The sausages, burnt ends, and pulled pork beans were also good, but the mac n’ cheese was a little dry and disappointing - especially compared to other smokehouses such as Hickory’s. Overall, a pretty good meal, but pricey.

Absolutely fantastic meal out, perfect for celebrating a family birthday event. The food was gorgeous and full of flavour, and the service was incredibly friendly and quick! Will definitely come back again, I’ve got my eye on a sharing platter next time!

Yummy meat in my belly! The home made sauces were good! Fries were banging l, crispy, well seasoned Good amount of food for 2 people with the pit master and good variety Fried chicken was super good Crispy skin on the pitmasted chicken 🍗 I had a good meal!

Fantastic Italian, perfect for a Fri evening. It was packed. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great and won't bust your wallet. Will go again.

We are regulars at L'artista in Letchworth and seriously can't get enough of the place. The food is absolutely fantastic (though they do make carbonara the English way, with cream in it 🤦‍♂️) The service is second to none and there is always a brilliant atmosphere. Today we went as a group of six, with my 14 and 8 year old kids. My daughter (8) spent the whole meal engrossed in watching the chef hand make pizzas. At the end of tge meal the staff were so appreciative of her interest that they brought over a ball of dough, flour, tomato paste and cheese and allowed her to make her own pizza right at the table! They then cooked it, boxed it and gave it to her to bring home, at no extra cost. If I could rate these guys 6 out of 5 for customer service I really would. Thank you gents, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

What a great find! Very welcoming atmosphere and quick service despite being full. The food is authentic, home cooked italian cuisine. The portions are big, so would recommended asking for half portions, which are substantial.

A brilliant curry house and very well decorated and it's easy to see why this place has been given so many awards, the staff occasionally give out free drinks to people waiting on particularly busy nights. However, recently the recipe must of changed as I have noticed the colour of the chicken tikka has turned bright red which to me suggests the usage of artificial dyes and the chicken curry has a lot more fennel added which a few friends and family have picked up on. Extremely disappointed if cheap dyes and low quality ingredients is your chosen business path as this is one of my favourite restaurants 4/5

Three of us enjoyed and shared three different Tawa Tash Tash dishes at The Lancer last night, I think this dish is unique to this restaurant, we've not seen it anywhere else before and we all thought it was delicious. Not our first visit to The Lancer, it's an Indian restaurant we rate very highly. Great food and friendly service. We've always been able to park for free nearby too, which is always a bonus. We have been using Lancer for a while now, food by is absolutely amazing and flavoursome, very authentic and fresh. Would not use anywhere else . Just discovered Sri Lankan lamb which is amazing, in fact we had in two days running. THANK YOU for your delicious food and customer service.

Thai food in a pub at lunchtime, can't ask for more. It's "proper" Thai food too. Don't be silly, try it.

I've always liked this pub but what an effort they've made to continue offering great service during this pandemic. Loads of sanitizing stations, marquee, paved beer garden and a grassed beer garden area. Really nice. Revisited today and still one of my favourite pubs. Happy to see Birra Moretti on draught too.

We got a takeaway delivered. Everything was above par, hot and they don't skimp on the spice which is unusual for local Indian restaurants and greatly appreciated! Certainly our go to now for a takeaway, very impressed 👍

I won’t lie to you, an Indian is not my first choice for a takeaway…. However… over the years of trying every Indian takeaway/dine in within a 5 mile radius, I can safely say Baldock Spice is hands down our go-to and should be yours! Their generous discount when collecting is an added bonus also 🙌🏻 Really friendly staff, food ready to collect on time, always arrives piping hot when delivered! Tonight we were given a “freebie” of their new Biscoff Fridge cake, which I had no idea what it was… but let me tell you now… this was hands down the best dessert I have had in a LONG TIME!!! Many may think this review was scripted, but I’m happy to say that I’m just a guy who is very critical about their food 😏

Baldock Spice is hands down the best takeaway in the area. The food is delicious with high quality meat and ingredients. We also love that most of the curries can be made vegetarian with paneer. We order from them far too much as it’s just so good. We’ve tried other restaurants nearby when Baldock Spice is closed and they are not even close.

I was recommended baldock spice from someone who said this is best place for Indian food in Baldock. Ordered delivery and fantastic service - called me to check address and delivered earlier than the suggested time online. Delighted to find a complimentary bag of samosas - thank you! Food was delicious. So nice to get a follow up message to ask how it was. 5 stars!

Went with a small group, we are planning a charity fundraising night here in the New Year. Charming staff, brilliant service, really delicious and well presented food and excellent value! I really enjoyed my shashlik chicken. No wonder they achieve accolades! Looking forward to going back 😋

Sunday evening dinner fantastic service and food. Bring your own drink during January was brilliant as we have a couple of fussy drinkers. First time in and will definitely be going again.

We have just returned from staying at The Fox in Willian this weekend visiting our son and daughter in law who have just purchased a house in hitchin. It was fabulous. The room was immaculate and cozy with an outdoor private patio. The girls who came to replenish and clean our room - Natalia and Rosie were the best and so friendly and willing to help. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff were outstanding from Kate who seems to run the place to the bar, restaurant, reception and waiting staff - exceptional and so friendly no miserable faces in this estabishment. The Food: Well the Sunday lunch was exceptional my pork best ever. Also family had beef and lamb again excellent. We ate there also on the Friday evening and had fish (haddock) really well cooked and presented. Great Chefs! There is a little grocery shop next door for provisions and again met the lovely Julie there a joy to chat to. Lovely village very relaxed and really great atmosphere in The Fox. Yes we will be back on a regular basis. Oh and I love dogs so this is doggy heaven!! loads of lovely walks for humans too.

I visited here for an evening meal for a date. The service at the bar was fabulous, very attentive, helpful and friendly bar staff for pre-meal drinks. The dining team were also welcoming, friendly and helpful, the food was fabulously presented and the flavours were sublime. Can't fault the experience, thanks to all the teams for a great experience! Worth stating I don't know anyone who works there and this was my first visit, a genuine review from someone who genuinely had a great evening meal.

My friend and I found this little gem of a pub by chance this week. We were really impressed with the food and also the very welcoming and helpful staff. If you re passing nearby this delightful little village I thoroughly recommend stopping by. We didn't stay at the hotel but if it matches the service we received for lunch I m sure it would be very nice.

07Jul2024 Visited on spec. The food, beer and service is great. The pub offers superb value. The menu is mainly traditional, but with the occasional flair of something different, to tweak the dishes, and the results are brilliant. The pork belly with creamed potato and jus is such a well balanced array of deep flavours.

Quick lunch in here today. Service was very good. Food was pretty good too. Much fish was definitely good quality and had a nice batter. Not too heavy. Chips were large and fluffy on the inside. Mushy peas were .. mushy! The burger was good, the slab of meat on the inside was substantial and I’m almost surprised they didn’t ask how to cook it. Hearty good food. The outside area looks great for summer drinks. Would go again

Lovely starter and roast dinner however the roast potatoes were too small and not crispy. They were served white. The rest of the dinner faultless and my crispy squid and husbands chicken strips were delicious.

Always my go to I have eaten in multiple times and had takeaways just as many. The staff are always friendly and the food delicious cooked to a good quality with a good variety of dishes. I had a madras and a dhansak with starters tonight was absolutely lovely.

This is a staple for either going out or for take away. Good food, friendly service and a great menu. I’ve had great experiences so far and really like the food I’ve had.

Order takeaway regularly from here but decided to eat in tonight for my son's birthday dinner. Food was fabulous, service great. Was fully booked when I called to reserve a table for 8 people but Omar said he would try to move tables around for me. Initially said he'd tried and couldn't make it work but called me back later on and said that he'd managed to do it. I felt he really went the extra mile to fit us in. Super helpful, great food that isn't overpriced and a nice friendly atmosphere. Love this restaurant.
