We used Acorn Tutors upon numerous recommendations during the unfortunate COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. Once it was clear that the Year 6 SATS were not going ahead we utilised Tom's experience and professionalism for twice weekly Zoom lessons for our son in preparation for starting Year 7 at a new much larger secondary school. Tom's professionalism and 'buddy' approach chats really helped him, and ourselves, through a difficult and frustrating time. Whenever they finished their lessons our son was full of confidence and spoke very highly of his methods. Tom from Acorn Tutors has made learning fun for our son. As a typical boy getting him to sit down and study was always a challenge, however he never complained once about working with Tom to prepare for his SATs.
