Nick and his co-worker Michael came out to us to undertake various electrical work, mainly a new fuse box, testing the electrics around the house and additional light fittings. Very competent, talked us through the process and what would be best for us. The estimate he provided was very competitive and very detailed — explaining exactly what we were getting and why (especially where the fuse box was concerned). Work was carried out to a high standard and completed very promptly, we had seen several electricians prior to Nick but he was so friendly, straightforward and knowledgeable it was a no-brainier to go with him. Would highly recommend and will 100% use Nick again for our electrical needs.

Nick was the last in a line of three electricians we found to fit out our new extension. He was the only one that showed up when he said he would, delivered a cost estimate when he said he would that was clear and transparent. Nick did a superb job of the installation having advised us on the way about what would work and what wouldn’t, finished it on time and to budget and it all worked as specified. What more could you ask for? All done with commensurate professionalism and a friendly demeanour. Thank you Nick. I needed an electrical installation report for insurance purposes. I sent a contact form to Nick and got a response within hours. During the inspection it was found that we needed a new consumer board and associated works to a secondary unit. Nick was prompt with his quote and once excepted made a date to do the work. He kept in touch and when the day arrived was on time. He was very friendly and professional throughout and insisted on cleaning up even though there was very little mess. Overall a fantastic job and reasonably priced too. I would definitely recommend him for any electrical work.

I contacted Green Light for a quote for Solar PV Panel installation at the end of March 2023, getting their name from the MCS website and being local to the area. Nick contacted me by phone for an initial phone chat and very quickly produced an initial draft proposal. We arranged a visit to our house to discuss it further and firm up proposals. Nick was punctual and very informative and very keen on Solar. All our questions were answered, he did a thorough site survey and I said we were getting other quotes, which he was supportive of. He then supplied a firm quote which included a consumer (fuse box) unit replacement at the same time. Whilst I was waiting for other quotes Nick was quick to answer any follow up questions we had. The quote from the company was competitive with others and at the beginning of April we accepted the quote and booked a date for installation in May. The deposit could be paid by bank transfer or credit card to give the extra protection under section 75. The Monday agreed on in May arrived and Arthur and colleague arrived to start work, scaffolding had been put up the week before. We discussed a change of location of the inverter and battery if possible and that was incorporated so both were fitted downstairs instead of in the loft. They both worked tirelessly throughout the week, arriving about 0800hrs and not leaving until 1630hrs and seemed to work through any tea and lunch breaks. The work was completed with little mess and what there was was all cleaned up by end of the day. We were expecting more visible wiring trunking, inside and outside but they managed to use the wall cavity to run the wiring from the panels to the consumer unit/inverter so the little visible trunking is all extremely neat and contained around the inverter and battery. The consumer unit change replaced 2 old fuse units and looks so much neater. Whilst the wiring was being changed Arthur wired in sockets so we weren't left totally without electric for the day it took for the unit to be replaced, a nice touch really. On Fri afternoon the work was completed, the Solar panels producing electricity, work area left clean and tidy. A minor issue with battery connectivity was soon resolved the next working day. All in all I would recommend Nick and his company for their obvious commitment to providing a quality service, who are professional, want to do a professional job, arrive on time and work extremely hard to complete a job on time and to a very high standard. A job well done that we are very satisfied with. Nick and his team are to be commended.

Really excellent service, keen, knowledgeable, skilled and arrived at short notice. We were expecting an assessment and ‘Ok, we can do this in x days/weeks…’ - no … ‘We loaded the van with what we thought we might need to do the job: we can sort it for you right now!’ A couple of hours later and it was all done and dusted! Highly recommended!

Green Light Electrical installations were very quick to come to our rescue when a couple of spotlights in our ensuite decided to "give up the ghost". We phoned in the morning and a lovely lad was with us by lunchtime, and job completed quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend them.

The Green Light team did a fantastic job installing the electrics for our two sets of driveway gates. The gates are large and heavy and having them working electronically is so helpful! Nothing was too much trouble and it’s good to be able to use such a reliable local business.

I manage a Lettings agency in Central Salisbury and Nick is our go-to electrician. Fairly priced, exceptional standard of work, fantastic communication and always tidies up after himself once works are completed - which can be half the struggle when trying to manage properties with various contractors. None of our Tenants or Landlords have ever had a bad word to say about Nick or his workmanship. We recommend him to all of our Landlords and I have also had Nick carry out works on my own property. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone in Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Nick first came to us when we needed a full electrical inspection for our insurance. He provided a really good service covering everything that was required in a proactive way. We then asked him to fit a new external light. Again, he could have been more helpful and carried out a really good job. We would highly recommend him for any electrical job big or small.

We commissioned Charlton to come and wire in our new summerhouse. From start to finish where Paul came and surveyed the work to when Chris came out and conducted the job "in what I would say were very hot conditions" the whole process was effortless and a joy to have them do the work. Matt quoted for electrical work required for the garage including external sockets and replacement lights. This work was duly completed by two young electricians who were excellent ambassadors for Matt Payne Electrical Ltd and were efficient, thoughtful and very tidy I would have them back for any future electrical work required. This is not the cheapest electrical company around, but you get what you pay for and this was excellent!

Called for a quote as we weren't 100% sure what the issue was with our flickering bathroom spotlights. Matt worked out quickly that it was the pull cord switch and luckily he had a new one in his van. We agreed a price (very reasonable) and he was able to replace it immediately. Happy with Matt's work and his manner. Would happily use Matt again...and we did! Second time was to fit a new light fitting where electrics were on a loop so needed an expert. Matt was the guy for the job 👍🏽

Lee fitted a new bathroom fan and heater. He also managed to find an electrical fault we we’re not aware of. Thoroughly recommended.

Lee came out to carry out an EICR on our rental property. The report highlighted a couple of issues which Lee managed to fix the day after. He was polite, efficient and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be using Argon again and highly recommend to others

Absolutely awesome service and we are very happy to recommend. Lee installed an induction hob (we moved away from gas) and ran new underground cables out into the garden to power sockets and a water feature. Lee also installed outdoor wall lights with a switch indoors. He is incredibly professional, arrived on time, left no mess and we are very happy indeed with the quality of his work.
