Our family dentist for a couple of years, however I attended for an emergency appointment and was given a choice to remove or have root canal treatment. I was hoping to save the tooth and had a temporary filling carried out. So far 5 stars!

Had an emergency appointment due to toothache, the tooth needed extracting, this was done really swiftly. From the moment I first contacted this practise right through to the end of the treatment I felt very well looked after by the whole team. Best dental care experience I’ve ever had.

I’m not one who tends to write reviews but after my first check up today I felt like I wanted to. This is for other people out there who have had their NHS practice closed and now can’t get a NHS dentist and are reluctant to go private. I understand how you feel, I work part time and am at college and finances are tough enough. Yet I found myself admitting defeat and looking for a dentist, I like to have yearly check ups and was getting anxious it had been too long (I’m on the NHS waiting listing for a wisdom tooth removal and wanted to check that I was fine waiting). A College friend told me how she had an emergency appointment here and how great they were. She had ended up joining them and told me they were taking on new private patients. My parents and I have now joined and have all been happy with the process. I particular like, how above you there is a computer screen, you can see the dental nurse inputting data as it’s called out. So yes, the check up is a quick process but you can see all the info being inputted and that you’re getting a full check up. He also checked my gums for bleeding. This is only my first check up but for now, I’m comfortable that my dental health is in good hands and that any work recommended, is in my best interest and not for them to make a quick buck. So for now in this NHS dental desert, I am happy to be on their books.

All dental work to be undertaken was carefully explained verbally and with use of x-rays and dental modelling. The importance of dental hygiene daily to help to keep teeth and gums healthy was explained fully. The treatment carried out over a few appointments was painless and I am very pleased with the outcomes. All staff are friendly and take their time to ensure that patients questions are answered and understood. I would fully recommend this Dental and Implant Centre.

Dr Varun, Holly, this practise, is just astounding! I had a dental emergency, I had lost a rather large filling which was incredibly close to my nerve, which was causing me a LOT of pain. After ringing my dentist and them telling me I could only be seen in 5 weeks, I quickly (whilst slightly panicking) googled emergency dentists in my area. National Dental, in Dorchester, popped up with some great reviews, so I decided to ring them. After explaining my situation, Holly made me an appointment for 2 hours time (relief)! I was ever so slightly nervous due to the sheer pain of my tooth, and having some bad experiences in the past with it. Dr Varun, and Holly, were both incredibly reassuring, and Dr Varun explained in detail every step of the procedure, showed me what was going to happen on a model of some teeth, he couldn't have been any clearer, even explaining every detail of what was happening during the procedure. Now, when I tell you that they operate on a pain free basis, I mean it! I didn't feel a single thing, despite the sensitivity and close proximity to the nerve of my tooth. The procedure was done quickly, but not rushed! Which is something a lot of dentist do, RUSH! I left completely pain free, with my dental problem treated, all within the space of 4 hours! I can not thank, or recommend, this team and practise enough!

I had a tooth extraction performed by Dr. Varun Barath last week and I must say, he is truly an outstanding dentist. From the moment I walked into his practice, I was impressed by his professionalism and friendly demeanor. Dr. Barath took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure to me, outlining both the negatives and positives so that I could make an informed decision about my aching tooth. He never rushed me or pressured me in any way, which I greatly appreciated. The extraction itself was done with precision and care, and I felt at ease throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Dr. Varun Barath to anyone in need of dental care. He is truly a top-notch professional.

I had a consultation with Dr Barath today, the session started with a professional greeting from the staff and Dr Barath himself, he then provided a comprehensive examination and X-rays, followed by a full report on what he had found. The level of expertise from Dr Barath was fantastic and I had total confidence in his advice, I really appreciated that he took the time to explain to me how to take better care of my teeth and why it’s so important to have a care routine at home in place as well as clinical intervention. Many thanks for your help today, will look forward to returning in the new year!

Had pain with a molar over a number of months and Crewkerne Dentist Centre (& Jason Salvador Swords in particular) had always fitted me in at short notice; tried various treatments (not always charged) which eased, for a period, but also checked on tooth once removed (by oral surgeon) as I had some issues, again without charge. Very happy with his service and all the staff there are lovely. Thank you 🙏

Alain and the team were amazing. Although the word amazing is not a word I would usually associate with a visit to the dentist, his compassionate and professional manner put me at ease and enabled me to remain calm and relaxed. Fantastic service and very patient with nervous patients. I was petrified going for the first consultation but after having the first lot of work done, I can say they are very good. I didn't feel a thing and the team reassured me and checked in regularly to make sure I was ok. I would give more than 5 stars if I could and would recommend to family and friends.

Prior to being a patient at the Gardens Dental Practice I used to be very anxious about going to the dentist, I can honestly say all members of the team are warm and professional and put you at ease from the minute you walk through the door. Izzie deserves a particular mention for her excellence, but she is also caring and gentle. My teeth are so dramatically improved, her work is exceptional and I am so grateful. Ended up having to go private as a non registered emergency patient, after failed A&E visit and a 3 hour phone call to 111 with no answer. I’m so glad I chose this practice. All the staff were so kind and considerate, from the initial phone call, to the receptionist, nurses and the dentist himself. Very thorough, explained everything and considerate throughout. Have my second appointment through already to deal with the problem. Will highly recommend to all looking for a dentist!

A truly professional experience from start to finish. Communication by email and text message re upcoming appointments is excellent. Also changing appointments is very easy and hassle free. Upon entering the practice you are greeted in a warm and friendly manner, which continues throughout your visit. I am very pleased with Dr. Govender's work . He is very thorough and has done a lot more checks on me than any other dentist I have had in the past. A true professional. Although not a nervous patient myself, if you are worried by dentists then I recommend this practice. Dr. Govender will calmly explain everything before it happens and put you at ease. This dental practice is absolutely fantastic they really look after their patients, it’s very clean, well presented and maintained. It’s staff are tremendous, friendly, helpful, caring and very polite, my dentist Dr Govender is a smashing dentist he goes out of his way to make sure that the treatment both I and my mother receives is as pain and stress free and relaxed as possible. Date of visit 15/11/24.( New patient) I was really very anxious as it was my first time for treatment with a new dentist. I needed not to have had such a sleepless night worrying! I feel very stupid now because I was looked after so well by my fabulous team Dr.Jessica Scott and nurse Ellie. They understood my nervousness and immediately reassured me that I was going to be in safe hands. The treatment I received was quick and completely painless. Ellie was really lovely and kept reassuring me as the treatment progressed which was greatly appreciated. I have to visit again for a couple more longer appointments to prepare to have a gold crown fitting and I promise not to be such a baby next time! Having had such a good experience on my first visit has absolutely reassured me that I’m in very experienced and safe gentle hands. So I’m looking forward to my next appointment! My dental journey with South Coast Implant & Cosmetic Dentist has been amazing from day one. After experiencing many issues with my implants placed in a different dental surgery I found dentists who were willing to help me. David Furze and his team are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They listened attentively to my concerns, explained all procedures and options in detail, and addressed my previous implant issues with expertise. David's positive attitude and enthusiasm made the treatment process much easier. The atmosphere at the surgery is welcoming and friendly, and I always felt comfortable and at ease. Even though I had to travel two hours for my appointments, it was well worth it.

I have just had approx 20 crowns fitted to replace 40 year old ones which were looking unsightly. Needless to say this was extensive treatment and expensive, however Matthew is such a comfortable person to be with, he is so friendly and approachable, and really tried to make me feel relaxed.. my only negative was i felt bit ropey a couple of times and would have loved a quiet room to sit in for a while rather than the waiting room, but this is a lot to ask i suppose , especially in a small building. Staff are very helpful and friendly .I am so pleased with my new teeth 🥰
