Alcove Media Unit - Apr-24: Fantastic job and highly recommend. Igor is a very good carpenter and built our alcove unit to the left side of our fireplace, housing our cat 6 networking and media devices. The build was finished to a high standard, and provided very good value for money. I think one of the real strengths is Igor’s communication & attention to detail throughout, discussing different options for materials / finishes & taking time with measuring to support accurate quoting upfront, as well as providing updates throughout the build and prior to install. I just need to finish the rest of the fireplace now! Excellent service, thank you again Igor and will definitely be in touch again for future projects!

We contacted A H Carpenters when we were in the market for a new kitchen. They were hands on throughout the entire process. Initially providing a professional design service to help us visualise our dream kitchen. This helped us greatly and their recommendations on fixtures and fittings were top notch. The installation was as professional and efficient as the design process. All trades were on time and provided a high level of quality in their work. Any problems or unforeseen issues we encountered along the way were dealt with promptly and great care was taken to explain the process. I would absolutely recommend A H Carpenters to anyone looking for a new kitchen. They tick all the boxes and have delivered our dream kitchen.

We commissioned Adam and his team to make a built in cupboard and some floating shelves for our living room. Our experience was good and the whole process from first speaking with Vicky to installation was less than 3 weeks. They were professional, friendly, timely and the carpentry was high quality. I’ve decided to use them to build a tall TV and entertainment unit. Truly professional from the design stage to building the unit at competitive price. Lot of attention to detail and clean working site. I am very pleased with the result. Transformed my living room.

Probably the most organised person I’ve met, knows exactly what’s happening and when. A delight to work with and did a massive kitchen transition first for us 2 years ago (this is a photo of the kitchen 2 years on) and then installed recently a beautiful fitted wardrobe. We love the result. Has a great team to help with the other bits too (particularly Alan and Mark). For the kitchen we were swapping our kitchen and dining rooms over. Had a lot of ‘old house’ hiccups along the way which he handled brilliantly. Highly, highly recommend.

The following review is quite long and detailed, but it's worth a read since this time last year I had never met or heard of Paul and between then and now he completed a large project for me across the second half of 2024 and I could not be happier with his work! I bought a detached 3-bed house in May 2024 that was a real "fixer-upper", built in the 1980s. The plan was to start work ASAP, take 6 months or so to renovate the property and move in with my family by Christmas. There were many challenges along the way, but ultimately this happened on budget and on time and we were able to host our first Christmas in our new family home! This was achieved due to Paul's technical skills, project management ability, his incredible work ethic (absolute grafter), his punctuality and reliability, his loyalty (detailed below) and ultimately his sheer motivation to deliver quality and value to his customer. Paul quoted for the job which involved the following: * Fully gutting and renovating a 3 bed detached house (removing walls, replacing all floorboards etc) * A complex double garage conversion into living space, a utility room and bathroom * Fitting a new kitchen * another new bathroom and plenty more. Paul came highly recommended to me by my Electrician who also worked on the project. He is multi-skilled and can take on pretty much any task, but he is also an excellent project manager and delegator to skilled tradesmen. Throughout the project, Paul brought on board his trusted labourers as and when required, as well as a plumber, tiler, plasterer and some niche contractors too, all of whom I met and could see had a high level of skill and a solid work ethic. Paul also worked effectively with a kitchen design consultancy that I had brought on board due to the awkward shape and specific requirements. As with any project, there were plenty of challenges - some that were outside of our control and one or two due to frustrating attitudes from people I had brought on board who failed to live up to expectations (I will not name and shame, but I will not use again or recommend them). Paul stuck with me through a period of frustrating delays due to others and persevered through this challenging period of the project where others would simply have looked out for themselves and up and left. I was kept in the loop daily and we met on site once or twice most week when I could get there. I recommend Paul with zero hesitation for any large project or small job and I will certainly be using his services again!

Chet is a consummate craftsman - he takes real pride in his work and this is reflected in the high quality of everything he makes. Chet has made bespoke cupboards, shelves and wardrobes for us. The whole process has been a pleasure - Chet worked with us to make exactly what we wanted but also suggested ways of improving our designs along the way. We are really happy with everything he has made for us.

Excellent piece of furniture! Very happy with the outcome. We needed some drawers made to match our already fitted wardrobes, and from start to finish, Chet was very precise and went through all possibilities of what we could create.

Chet’s work is simply beautiful! We had a media unit installed and he listened to all of our wishes, took them into account and had some really nice ideas for storage and the finish, which we felt others didn’t really provide when we spoke to them. He adjusted it many times until it was just right. He worked fast and always cleared up as he went along, a must when the room was still in use in the evenings. It has really transformed the room and how we use it. The workmanship has been praised by the painter too who said it’s some of the best work he has seen. It feels solid and sturdy as well as great to look at. We are really pleased with it and would highly recommend.

For our study, Chet built an L-shaped bookcase and a long worktop with associated bookcase and cupboard (see pictures) to suit our Victorian house.We are thrilled with the work done. Outstanding quality, care, attention to detail, good value, and executed (more or less) in the promised timetable . Also a very pleasant person to boot. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended..we needed a vital repair to a balcony deck carried out urgently because of a deadline. Graham was extremely accommodating and helpful and the work carried out by Terry was excellent and professional. Very good value for money. Will use them again if need arises
