James came out at a time he said he would and quoted to install an EV charger. Fitted at at reasonable price with no mess, also put app on phone and showed how to use it. Very happy with his work and booked him to do other work.

Lovely food, & plenty of it. Had a toasted cheese & onion sandwich. It was nicely presented with a side of salad, coleslaw & a few crisps. Oh & a milkshake. We were looked after by Kate who saw to our needs & made us feel very welcomed. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely little place. Clean and tidy. The staff are always very friendly. Good menu at reasonable prices. The only possible complaint is that they stop their breakfast menu at 11.30. They can be busy, so booking in is recommended.

3rd time here today and it was lovely. My wife had a small breakfast and I had a large breakfast, both were very tasty and well presented. Staff are lovely and the cakes are that nice we took some home for afters.....not for the first!! Very clean and nicely decorated Another wonderful visit..... next on the agenda will probably be an afternoon tea. 👍👍👍

Absolutely wonderful cafe, great little find. I wanted to book somewhere as we were travelling three hours North for my partner to have his van repaired and we needed somewhere close for a quick pit stop. This lovely cafe came up as within walking distance and decided to book via Instagram. Very quick reponse and very friendly ladies. Breakfast was amazing! If we were ever that way again, would definetely pop in. Highly recommend. Delicious! Sarah & Lee.

Steve was brilliant from start to finish. Turned up on time every day, completely professional and went the extra mile for us. Even down to running home for a jump starter for my van for me! We were let down by a lot of other tradesmen for our kitchen install and Steve saved the day. Would recommend him to anyone.

Very good reviews here for a reason. Steve and Shaun did an excellent job of installing a new supply along with lights and sockets to my garage. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Great service and advice from start to finish. If you are looking for top class workmanship give the man a ring. You won't be disappointed.

Definitely a 5 star electrician ! Steve was a friendly guy with lots of knowledge and workmanship was great . Reasonably priced. He’s made our jacuzzi room safe to use , re-routed our electrics and installed our garage with its own electric supply . Thanks so much Steve. I’ll be needing your skills in the near future . Steve came to do the electrics for my new kitchen, he was extremely professional from start to finish! He arrived at exactly the time he said and nothing was to much trouble. Steve and his teams work was faultless and to a very high standard. They got the job done efficiently and at a very good price! If your looking for an electrician I can’t recommend Steve enough we will one hundred percent use him again!

Didn't know Sylhet existed till tonight when I looked up places to order dinner for me and the Mrs. After reading the reviews and clicked on they are where Caspian and Grill once used to be I had to order a delivery. Delivery was quick, like 20 mins quick, didn't even get to finish a game before the driver was at my door but no complaints here. The driver was very kind and jolly and the food arrived hot and can be eaten straight away without reheating. Food was great, ordered a Sylhet Kitchen Special to share and was expecting it to be swimming in oil but it wasn't which was a surprise but this is based from ordering from other places in the past. Mrs was particularly happy with the bhajis as it wasn't just 99% fried batter and 1% onion, again from past experience. Salad was fresh and the poppadoms wasn't stale (I ordered 2 and got 4 thinking I was paying per poppadom so that was a nice surprise too). Overall a very nice dinner and a good pick me up after work. We will make time to dine in and bring some BYOB as advised by another reviewer. Keep at it guys and welcome to Normanton!

Well at long last, it seems we finally have a quality Indian/Asian restaurant/takeaway in our area. After reading the many excellent reviews already given we ordered an home delivery on NYE, and I have got to give my utter complements to the chef, our variety of food order was nothing but excellent. Polite on the phone the delivery guy was nice. My son had a donner kebab and couldn't believe how big and tasty it was! My partner had a curry and said its the best one he's had. All thumbs up from the other kids with a burger and chips. Our new take out place food was spot on.

Had three takeaways in the past two weeks from Sylhet and they've all been beautiful! Red hot, delivered on time or early, very well priced and so tasty. Nice to have a good restaurant in the town will definitely be back ☺️

Such an amazing place! The food was epic and the atmosphere was welcoming! Every course of the meal was perfect and if you struggle to decide, ask for a recommendation you will not be disappointed! The Baklava, Raki and Turkish Tea/Coffee was the perfect way to end the experience! Great place for any occasion! Cannot not wait to return!

We were welcomed into the Bistro, like we were regular customers and a table and chairs were made available to us, It had been recommended by an elderly lady walking along the street, to get a quick coffee. Not having time for food, we did observe some lovely recipes being brought to other tables; and served with a passion and detail to make sure the customer enjoyed the food provided. When we are in the area again, that will be our go to place and find time for a beautiful meal, in a very unique, friendly atmosphere. Gem's is a family favourite. Great for breakfast, lunch and sweet treats. Wonderful, friendly service and lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. We esp love sitting upstairs by the window or outside on sunnier days.

Amazing food as always! Gem is an absolute sweetheart, never fails to make you feel welcome ❤️ I had jacket potato with Gem's homemade chilli and his homemade coleslaw and it was divine. My partner had a panini and it was also gorgeous. Got some baklava to take home with us too and it was perfectly syrupy

Very nice clean well kept pub. Normal selection of lagers, ales and guiness as well as wines and gin all at good prices. Plenty of seating inside and a lovely garden area to rear with small children's play area. Parking to the side and disabled Access to the front. Pool table, sky sports and Juke box.

The Poplar in altofts is a lovely village pub that is family friendly. It has a large outdoor area for drinkers and a secure children’s play area. The pub is in a pleasant late Victorian building and has a cosy atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the drinks are good quality and value. I really enjoyed the many times I have had in Poplar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun place to spend some time.👏

Great pub ,, me and my family went there on Sunday for the first time to a reggae night and wow it was brilliant. The staff and the landlord Steve was lovely made us feel so welcome. Atmosphere was great and everyone was so friendly towards us . Looking forward to our next visit 🎶🎵🍻🍹

The Miners arms in altofts was a great place to have fun. It’s a family-owned pub with a spacious garden, games rooms, and sports channels. I loved the dj events they organized. The tunes were amazing and the people were cool. I can’t wait to visit this place again and bring my mates with me
