Had a knocking sound which I suspected was either brakes or suspension. I had P T Motors recommended to me so called them yesterday, they asked me to leave my car today. They test drove it and identified a loose bolt, noise gone. Because it didn't take long they didn't charge. I have now booked my next service with them!

4 weeks ago, London Road Garage told me that they didn't really know what was wrong with my car and the best thing to do was to sell it!! My car has only done 52,000 miles and has had regular MOTs and Services since I brought it in 2017. I was distraught...I took my car to Guildford Road Motors and they couldn't have been more accomodating. Wow...My car was not ready for the bin at all. They talked to me about various solutions and consulted me every step of the way. My car is now fixed and back to running again. Highly recommended! We use HVS for both our company fleet and our personal vehicles. When a fault develops with an engineer's van, emergency repairs are needed, to get the engineer back on the road as quickly as possible. HVS always fit us in last minute, complete the repairs quickly and price the works fairly. They also go out of their way to collect / deliver back my personal vehicle for MOT, repairs etc, between the school run. Great service!

I had a bit of an emergency and needed a quick replacement of the rear disks and pads on my 2020 Volvo S90. They fitted me in the next morning. There were a few issues with the cars computer not wanting to play ball. This ended up taking a while to sort out (a few hours) The garage couldn't have been more helpful even going as far as to drive me to an important appointment and then pick me up again afterwards. They didn't even charge me any extra for the additional time taken. Very good customer service. Will definitely use again and would recommend.

Fantastic service and lovely people. I arrived at 8:15 with no booking and asked if they could fit me in as my clutch had gone. I picked up my car at 12:30 with a brand new clutch as they were able to fit me in. They were extremely reassuring, efficient and personable. I couldn't recommend them more.

I’m so used to having a long list of things that supposedly need fixing in my car , I was shocked to hear that only a few things needed to be done and they did that work quickly and very expertly . Excellent experience after the disappointing treatment at F1 Autocentre. My MOT was carried out thoroughly and in good time. Alan, my tester, was very professional, polite, and friendly. Highly recommend the Watling test centre.

I came in first about seven years ago because quick fit in st albans damaged my vehicle during an mot and tried to charge a fortune to repair it. He gave good advice and tested my vehicle after I repaired it. I take all my vehicles and friends vehicles there for test and dont plan to ever use anyone else. It is about an hour drive from where I live. He has failed a vehicle i have taken there twice. Once because of defective tires, once because of braking efficiency due to corrosion. Both times were absolutely correct, and I would have failed them too. I have had about 15 passes and two fails there. I believe they still offer a free retest within a short period which most people dont do, (but it might change so do ask if youre worried) and they give very good advice. They make money on the mot's by charging a reasonable fee, not by failing vehicles just to get mechanic work. I cannot recommend them enough. They are excellent. But obviously dont expect them to pass it if it isnt safe, because they wont. Just very straight and honest people.

Recently my car overheated and heater failed to work on the coldest day and was rescued by green flag. My daughter contacted Old London road garage who were happy to receive my car. Within a short time of arriving they were able to diagnose and quote on the work needed! My car was ready for pick up next morning. Everyone was professional and polite I am really happy with their service and would highly recommend this garage. I will certainly be using them again for my car servicing and MOT.

As a driver of 11 years, this is the best garage I've been to. Really helpful and friendly staff who took time to explain the service I was getting and answer my questions. They also have the best prices around but don't drop on the high quality work & customer service. Would highly recommend!

My Vauxhall Astra recently broke down. Had to get it towed back to my house and a mobile mechanic look at it and he said it was a write-off, which obviously caused a lot of stress. Hallgrove Garage, kindly got it towed to their garage. They spent a few days, with the car, assessing it and have done their magic, proved that it’s not a write-off and got it back on the road for me. They quoted a very good price and this is like an early Christmas present, getting it back on the 12th December- very grateful for them. Thank you once again to Steve and his team!
