My partner and I, pardon the punn, Swanned in last minute on the off chance they had space to accommodate a Sunday lunch for two.. luckily for us, they did. WOW!! If there was the option to do a drooling fac.. 🤤.. oh there is! It wad absolutely delicious. Everything cooked to perfection 👌 Yes, costs more than your average, but for the quality, you don't care. Staff were fantastic, very welcoming despite their being bust and all. Overall, 10/10. We will be returning

Great pub with a deserved reputation. Loved the lamb. Afogato is excellent. Great wine and a lovely half of landlord. Staff were great and couldn't have been more attentive. It's in the middle of nowhere but obviously that's part of the charm.

Can’t comment on the rooms as never stayed but the food is absolutely out of this world delicious. We’ve been coming here now for maybe 12 years? Never had a bad meal here & the Sunday roast is to die for . Best food we’ve had. The chefs are 10/10, coming back next week. Can’t wait!

The pub serves delicious food with superb ingredients. I highly recommend their fish and seafood, it is divine! They also have a good selection of beers and they are dog-friendly, so it's a great place for a meal/drink after a walk in the area. Thanks to the friendly staff, we also enjoy coming here for special occasions.

Fantastic, tasty food and good sized portions. The staff are very attentive and friendly with the whole experience being great value for money. This place is a little gem…always a winner when we eat here. Easily 5 stars but would give more if I could!! The home baked cakes are just wow….

Excellent food. Had a beef veggie pie and it was scrumptious, gravy is great and I am not a fan of gravy but this one. Enjoyed. Interior is not great but it is typical for The British infrastructure.

Popped in after walking by and seeing the fattest brownies for £3 and they're definitely worth it, amazing and extremely tasty. Will definitely be back for the rocky road! Friendly staff and plenty of seating available if need be , right next to the train station so good for a snack 😋🥨

Had plenty of full English breakfast in my life so i know what i like and how i like it. This one was served in well and respectable manner. What's important for me and i hopefully others as well that staff was wearing face masks / face protection. Sadly you don't see that I'm many public serving food. Also what like too is the fact that on each table was small sanitiser. Well done! But moaning aside lets focus on food. And there a lot good to say about it. Starting with latte which is the best regular size i had ever. Everywhere. Also serving in glasses rather than mugs is always welcome. Maybe, just maybe bit to weak. And i know what proportions for latte should be. Maybe changing coffee strength imo ? Other than that was perfect. Food! That's why we here. It was great. Starting with sausage, which either was something more than just cheapest available ( like 50p in Tesco?) or from butchers. It was nice, meaty with hint of apples ? And size of it too. That's for people whom saying that size doesn't matter. Flipping does here! :) And there's beans which also isn't anything cheap and that its got great taste. Hash brown and toasts where well made and couldn't be happier with them. Last but not the least was egg. Regardless of the fact that i like thing organised and sorted in my own way i love the irregularity of egg. Had to many to perfect looking eggs with FEB just to realised they awful in taste. This one looks like full range, yolk was almost orange in colour ... even now i can feel every one of the flavours on my plate. This is how good it was. Was siting outside, and i have to say that during the winter time or colder days it's got to be amazing to sit there, drinking something hot while waiting for you food. Complains ? Just one, minor one. When i was going to use pepper there was almost none. Had to get one from another table where it was running low too. But you cant have everything. Had a day off so decided to walk around Whalley Bridge. Originally was planning to go to different place but TVK as the only one had space to eat. And let me tell you this is the place you have to visit.

Had food here. It was so good. Like really really good. I had the pizza and my partner had pie and mash. Portions were fair and the food was really good quality and fresh. No honestly it was, the pizza was amazing I really do recommend checking it out. They do vegan and gluten free options and the staff are really sweet and helpful too. The chips are so tasty. I am still thinking about them 50 minutes later. Dog friendly also.

Perfect cozy pub to venture to after a day's walking. We normally go on a Saturday for the pizza and truffle fries. It can get very busy but normally you can grab a table upstairs.

Lee Adams carried out a large extension for us this summer and proved to be everything we could want from a builder. The job was finished in good time with the team being punctual and on site for the duration. The weather this summer was particularly poor for building but the job was still progressed and with minimal disruption to the existing house. Lee ensured we were well protected from the elements in the absence of a roof. The quality of workmanship is excellent and has been commented on by family, neighbours and people just passing by. Lee’s attention to detail is a credit to him and he proved to be honest, reliable, hardworking and flexible. We wouldn’t hesitate to call Lee in the future and we can’t recommend him highly enough.

Lee and his team completed extensive work for us between 2020-2024. Installation of multiple new lintels and UPVC windows, re-plastered six large rooms, fitted new bi-fold doors, re-laid a new concrete garage floor, re-built a new roof above a bay window plus miscellaneous repair work. They most recently completed a very large single-storey rear extension. They are extremely reliable, honest, polite, courteous and perform work to an exceptional standard. Further, they’ve also helped us out with several minor domestic emergencies. I would thoroughly recommend them.

We found Lee and his team excellent. From sorting out the arrival and removal of skips to organising the installation of pilings at a moments notice, solutions-led Lee never let us down. He converted our garage - much taller than our adjacent kitchen - into a level, insulated, plastered and painted open-plan, modern kitchen/lounge area, installing a tiny but so useful cloakroom as well. We would not hesitate to recommend Lee and would certainly use him again.

Lee and his team recently carried out a full house renovation for us on our (very worse for wear!) 250 year old stone terraced property during the winter of 2017. Lee worked with us and our ideas to provide a turn-key service from initial plans to completion and handover. Having never carried out a renovation project to this scale before and admittedly not quite sure what to expect, the expertise and knowledge Lee provided was not only essential in managing our expectations, but also fundamental in providing us with realistic parameters for the works. The initial works consisted of gutting the whole of the inside of the property, stripping the plaster back to the bare stone walls, removing the ceilings and preparing the property for a full re-plumb and re-wire. Once service works had been carried out, which Lee of course arranged for and oversaw, the second phase involved reinstalling the ceilings and relining all walls to bring it-up to modern standards. Lee then continued to oversee the re-plastering off the whole property before assisting with the kitchen and bathroom installations, flooring and even decoration. Lee was nothing but professional and helpful throughout and applied both his vision and experience to the build that has created a safe, unique and welcoming home. If you want a job carried out to the highest level, we would most definitely suggest contacting Lee Adams Builders and have recommended Lee and his team to family members and friends. As testament to this fact, we have even booked in with Lee once again for later on this year and look forward to him and his team returning to carry out external groundworks to complete our vision of a well presented family home. Thanks again Lee for all of your help and hard work. Quality really does come as standard with works carried out by your and your team.

Lee did a great job on the renovation of my house. He’s experienced and knowledgeable, and works hard to get the job done well. He did everything from taking down internal walls and replacing the bathroom, to arranging all the skips, and liaising with the Planning Officer for the structural alterations. He’s easy to deal with and good at keeping you up to date with all aspects of the work. He was also considerate of the neighbours throughout the project, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

The vet and receptionist today were absolutely lovely. Receptionist was very kind and addressed me and my dog as we entered, and the vet was the best kind of person for the job. Don't think my dog even minded his vaccines being given. He seemed upset to leave! 10/10

We are absolutely delighted with our quality fitted bedroom furniture. The team were professional, prompt, efficient and reliable. Lamara planned and designed the layout and we’re so pleased with the result. We are over the moon with our wonderful new kitchen and the warm and helpful service we received from Buxton Woodworks. When designing and choosing our new kitchen, I was slightly overwhelmed with the amount of choices and decisions to make and was slightly daunted by the whole process. Once I met Hannah, I was immediately put at ease with her helpful, honest and constructive advice. No question was ever too silly and I was never put under any pressure to rush any decisions throughout the design process. Hannah was flexible with my ideas and together we designed a kitchen that was practical and beautiful! Adrian was also a pleasure to work with and was fantastic at answering all of my queries throughout the measuring and fitting stages. Both Hannah and Adrian made the whole process MUCH less stressful and were so reassuring. We are extremely pleased with the look and quality of our new kitchen alongside the advice given by all staff at Buxton Woodworks. Had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner. The place was packed, however it still felt friendly, homely and had a nice vibe. The staff work very hard and are friendly and really looked after us. The food was amazing. Simple but well done and tasty. Portions are very generous. We had the nduja and mozzarella arancino and spring onions in pancetta to start, Followed by prawns and porchetta and a cannoli to finish.

Had a very enjoyable dining experience at A Tavola recently. Years ago I had been to their Reddish restaurant and so enjoyed it but this was first time at New Mills. Four of us were a little bemused by the extensive choices so we were very happy to be guided into sharing mode by our lovely waiter. Nothing was too much trouble - all the dishes were delicious, different and beautifully cooked and presented on equally beautiful crockery. My son and I were catching up with friends so a lot of chatting but the food stopped us in our tracks and there were no negatives. I want to return, and will do soon to try even more on the menu. Thank you to all staff on the night.

A great little find in this piece of Sicily brought into the High Peak district. The menu was a host of intriguing unknowns, which made choosing my meal very difficult. I eventually went for the Burrata e Coppa Siciliana, followed by the Margherite Ca Sasizza. (The imported fennel sausage, deliciuos) with long pasta. The home-made ice cream was also great. The service was first class and the staff were very attentive and chatty, making the atmosphere very friendly. Plus, the complimentary Limoncello just rounded the evening off very nicely. "Il cibo e molto bene"
