Bespoke Weddings have really helped us out, our wedding would have never have happened so soon without them and the competition. From the initial meeting with Maria she has been very supportive with our situation and helpful with us going ahead with the wedding in 6 months time which is very encouraging. We've never felt any pressure to go ahead with the competition or other options given but it's nice they support local companies. I would recommend anyone to apply to the competitions as it could save you a huge amount and get you married sooner than you ever expected and change your life!

Our experience so far has been great with Bespoke and can’t thank our wedding planner Nicole enough for her support. We never thought we’d hear anything back when entering the competition and then receiving a call to say we had won our venue costs for a venue of our dreams was amazing. We get married late 2026 but thanks to the quick responses from Nicole we have managed to secure the majority of our vendors through the competition at some amazing prices which has taken away so much stress so we can focus on the more sentimental details. Thank you so much to Nicole and the team at Bespoke.

Maria called me on Valentines day with the news that we had won a wedding venue after my partner and I had entered a competition. She has been helpful and supportive, providing us with the information required for the next steps. Anything support we need is offered, we just need to email or call. We are excited to continue the planning experience with her and Bespoke!

We beyond grateful for Bespoke Weddings. I couldn't believe it when I received the phone call to let us know that we had won their competition of free wedding venue. You dressed my Daughters wedding at Donington park Farmhouse 3.11.23 and WOW you are amazing at what you do and the venue looked absolutely beautiful. Such a professional company from the first communication to the big day. As this was a barn wedding we were not allowed real candles and was a little worried as I don’t like the artificial ones but I can honestly say you couldn’t tell they were stunning and so were your flowers the venue was beautiful, Thank you sooo much. Can’t thank Claire and the team enough for all they did to help decorate and set up our wedding. Their experience with weddings and the contacts they have really helped us and we certainly couldn’t have done it without them. Claire totally understood our vision from the get go and really brought it to life - it looked better than we could have even dreamed of. Her calm demeanour was a real comfort to us throughout. My husband and I got married in August at Wildhive in Derbyshire. Village Green Events helped style the wedding and Laura, who was our contact, was amazing to work with! She leaves no stone unturned when it comes to her attention to detail and execution. Everything was so well thought out and her ability to foresee things you will need or might want is truly amazing. I went over my ideas with her and inspiration for what I was looking for and she ran with it and did an absolutely amazing job. Her communication is great too and she is quick to respond. The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, particularly the Championship course, offers a great golfing experience that’s hard to fault. The layout is decent and keeps you engaged, with a mix of challenging and forgiving holes that make it enjoyable for a wide range of golfers. While it might not be the most dramatic course you’ll play, it’s well-maintained and provides a solid round. One of the highlights is the clubhouse, which has a fantastic buzz to it. Even midweek during the summer, it’s busy and full of energy, which adds to the welcoming and lively atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and it’s a great spot to grab a drink or a bite after your round. Overall, The Nottinghamshire’s Championship course is a solid choice for a day out, with its engaging layout and vibrant clubhouse making it a great all-around experience. It’s just shy of perfect, but still well worth a visit!

I was guest at a friend's wedding reception here and all I can say is the scenery is amazing.. perfect for outdoor pictures. Inside has a spacious bar area and sitting area which can be transformed very quickly into a dance floor. Would highly recommend for a wedding reception.

Great place for a party, friendly staff, good for a golf match Card only! No cash, Upstairs bar had no lager so the staff had to run downstairs to facilitate, they did so with smiles.

Played this course today, scenery beautiful. Lovely picturesque back drop but the course is not for beginners. The par 3’s are long, the par 4’s are long and the fair ways are packed with their own challenges. On top of this the greens are elevated with run offs too. Not a single flat hole, either steep uphill or steep downhill. Its a great challenge if you fancy yourself as a player, just not begginer friendly. The staff were nice and friendly, the place itself will no doubt be a good course to return to when i improve. But i play off 25 and today was tough. Thanks for having us Matlock Golf Club

Excellent Experience at Matlock Golf Course I recently had the pleasure of playing at Matlock Golf Course, and it was a fantastic experience. The course is in great condition, deceptively looking easy but offering plenty of challenges for all skill levels. Every hole had its unique set of obstacles, keeping the round exciting and engaging. The facilities were top-notch, and the food was excellent, making it a well-rounded day out. A special mention to the professional, Christian Goodman, who was incredibly helpful and offered some valuable tips that improved our round. I highly recommend this course to any golfer!

Played early morning earlier this week. The pro and greens staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They were all so proud to showcase their course and for good reason! The front 9 was out of this world with unbelievable holes in every day, cannot wait to come back!

What an absolute pleasure to play a course which I must have driven past many times and never really knew it was here! Excellent condition out on the course. Made very welcome in the Pro Shop and Clubhouse bar. There are some little touches which make the experience so memorable. The outside seating alongside the practice green is no doubt well used and made for a welcome post round refreshment seat! Stunning views on many holes, the challenge on each is different taking the experience up a further notch! Thank you for supporting the On Course Foundation with their fund raising!

As you would expect from a course located in Derbyshire Peak district it's not flat far from it but the track is approaching outstanding both from a golf point of view and a scenic. We were fortunate that the weather was plesant but if the rain came in then it would be a VERY difficult course. We were made extremely welcome and the club house was good. I have to mention the flapjack's that were home made they were just unbelievable a MUST try. If you do have mobility issues then I would certainly recommend a buggy it is difficult I know as I have a iffy knee. Negatives not about the course but the area attracts a lot of visitors so on narrow roads cars are an issue BUT not as much as cyclists who make traveling time a lot longer so that is something to take into consideration when planning your journey.

Superb golf course and setting. Well worth a visit if you get chance, although a little brown just at the moment, the tees, greens and surrounds are well watered so still very playable.

Visited the Golf Club as a friend is a member and we were booked in for the charity quiz. A great time was had by everyone, the food was definitely up to scratch and the Jaipur went down a treat, can’t comment on the course though!

Four of us played today and had a fabulous time ! The staff were excellent as was the course and also our meals before and after our round ! Great course! Played on greens and tees all year round. I have played here in the summer and winter and it’s just a great place to come. The green fees are really reasonable. Most importantly the course always seems to be in great condition. Special shout out to the members and staff who make us visitors feel so welcome! Will always be coming back.

Had a great afternoon 4 ball today, a little cold to start but the sun came out for the back 9.Course in great condition even with all the traffic at this time of year(summer golf shoes still clean walking off the 18th)Highly recommended to anyone looking for a game.
