My family enjoyed the food at Smithy's Forge today. We had nachos and garlic bread for starters. For the mains we ordered the mixed grill, tandoori chicken and rice, sausage and mash and fish and chips. For puddings we ordered the ice cream sundaes and chocolate brownie with ice cream. All of the meals tasted good and the food/ drinks were well priced. The bar staff and servers were also really friendly. I recommend giving them a try!
Came in with some family, a lovely girl on the bar convinced me to upgrade my steak and I’m glad I did, it was absolutely perfect, very juicy and tender. My other half had a fish and chips, enjoyed every bite and said the batter was very crisp. Good for price, friendly service and a cheeky bit of banter while waiting for my pint was thoroughly enjoyed! Will be coming again.
We always enjoyed the food here. The fish had just been cooked but the chips weren't very warm this time. Everything else was fine, just the fact that there was limited staff so we had to wait 45 minutes for our meal. It was during half-term week though and quite busy.
Very clean tidy, accommodating and welcoming pub!! Food was so delicious- thank you staff that served me on Tuesday , was served straight away, pint came with a clover ☘️, food came out quick and was perfect 👍👍👌👌
