I had a wonderful visit to Bloom today with my mum, auntie, and younger brother. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the lovely staff and promptly seated, which set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The atmosphere at Bloom is perfect – comfortable, laid-back seating that makes it an ideal spot for a family outing. Plus, we found parking conveniently right outside, which made the whole experience even easier. The menu offers a wide variety of tempting breakfast and lunch options, as well as an impressive selection of drinks. We ordered the Full English Breakfast, Classic French Toast, and English Breakfast Tea. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and just as delicious as we’d hoped. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Overall, we were all thoroughly impressed with the food and service. Bloom truly stands out as one of the best breakfast spots in Birmingham, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast or brunch experience. It’s definitely one of my top 3 spots in the city!

Review: A Delightful Brunch Date Spot Yesterday, we decided to try out Bloom for a halal brunch date. It’s a cozy spot that’s gained quite a reputation, so we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype. As soon as we arrived, we noticed how busy it was—always a promising sign. Despite the crowd, the line moved surprisingly fast, and the staff was impressively organized. While we waited, the lively buzz of conversations and the sight of colorful dishes being served heightened our anticipation. We ordered hot chocolate, vanilla latte, waffle chicken and croque Madame. We also couple of their pastries.The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The service was another highlight. Even with the packed house, the staff remained attentive and quick to address requests. Our food arrived in under 20 minutes, which is no small feat given how busy it was. If I had to nitpick, it would be the noise level. It’s not the place for a quiet, intimate conversation, but honestly, the energy felt infectious rather than overwhelming. Overall, Bloom delivered on all fronts: delicious food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s definitely worth a visit, whether it’s for a casual date or a meet-up with friends. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd—it’s popular for a reason!

Service from Reggie was amazing. The full English was pretty decent. The 5 tropical was a bland drink. The loaded chips with chicken was nice. There was a hygiene issue with my food though and the toilers were 🤢.

It's truly rare to find such high-quality Hong Kong-style pineapple buns in the UK. You can see that this shop puts care into making every item. The food quality is excellent, refined, and very delicious. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Black Orange Coffee and had a great experience. I ordered a latte, and the cup was quite large, which I appreciated. The latte art was beautifully done, and the taste was quite good. For the cake, I tried the salted caramel, and it was delicious – perfectly balanced in flavor. I also tasted my friend's crispy butter bun, and it was equally delicious. As for the cinnamon roll, while it was tasty, it wasn't quite to my personal liking. The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean, cozy, and spacious. Overall, a great spot for coffee and treats!

Easy to book. We found the staff really friendly, and the owner made us feel welcome straight away. The food tasted amazing and well presented. The lobster ravioli was delicious and the scallops were cooked to perfection! We will definitely visit again.

Amazing restaurant, this place left a lasting impression, the food was on another level absolutely delicious, we went for the Valentines menu and each dish was so creative with amazing flavours. The ambience of the place was perfect, intimate fab decor even the music added to the feel of the place. Lovely friendly professional staff who were attentive. The cocktails were gorgeous with a flare of theatre to creating them. This place gave us an experience and we will definitely return. Top marks to the awesome chef.

Previously visited Cheals when based in Henley-in-Arden. This was our first time at their new location in Knowle and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is much more spacious now and the interior tastefully decorated. So, first impressions were great. Our waiter gave a warm welcome and expertly guided us through the menu and wine list. A very capable front of house team. My wife and I opted for the a la carte lunch menu and with each course our enthusiasm for the next grew. The hardest thing is deciding between all the tempting choices on offer, so if your budget stretches to it, I'd go for the tasting menu for a real treat. The highlight for us both was the dessert course. What a selection of moreish puddings skillfully prepared. Hats off to their patisserie chef. We chose Cheals for our second wedding anniversary and were delighted we did. We'll definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend it to others too.

We went for a birthday meal on a random Tuesday night. So it was relatively quiet, but the service and food were great. It's hard to comment on the atmosphere but I can't knock it as we had such a lovely time. Would definitely go back. My steak was cooked beautifully.

We had an incredible experience at Mykonos Tavern in Olton. Miranda, the manager, was exceptionally welcoming and made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality. Alex provided outstanding service, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The entertainment was fantastic—Tony’s lively dancing brought smiles all around, while George’s guitar playing and singing added a charming touch. The food was simply excellent, served in generous portions and bursting with flavor. Our evening, from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, was filled with laughter, great music, and delicious cuisine. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for such a memorable night. Highly recommended!

Wonderful restaurant! Lovely food, friendly and attentive service. Enjoyed the live music and having a dance after our meal. My wife and I come here relatively regularly. Every visit is warm, cozy, and relaxing. The staff are polite and hard-working, and the food/drinks are fantastic. This is one of our favorite places to visit in the area for some good food and lovely drinks. Also, dogs are welcome, which is really nice!

I visited here today. Lovely selection of cakes, drinks and a hot food menu as well as sandwiches/toasties. I had a vegetarian breakfast consisting of fried egg, fried fresh tomato, a choice of brown or white toast with 2 mini butters, hashbrowns, sausages and baked beans, along with a raspberry smoothie & lemon blueberry sponge. It was delicious. Staff are friendly (I have noticed I haven't seen a lady staff member here for a while hopefully she's okay, and the man I haven't seen for a while). I previously went here with my late father with Dementia in 2019 and before. He passed away during the lockdown 2020, due to negligence 💔. They were also very understanding of my dad back then. Greatly recommended. Also great for children. A lady from Two Mugs cafe sometimes helps out here... another cafe me and my late father often visited

A lovely, local coffee shop that does the most AMAZING white hot chocolate! If you've tried the Costa one, then you must try this as it completely blows it away. Amazing pastries and the most friendly staff too. Really enjoy coming here for a takeaway (or eat in now)

Best flat white locally. Friendly staff, but could do with more, not as much variety of cakes as there used to be but very good. I go there a lot.

What a lovely cafe. The owner was chatty and charming. The coffee was prepared with care, using an awesome setup: La Marzocco Linea Classic espresso machine and Vittoria Arduino grinder. I sat in comfort, relaxing and appreciating the finer things in life with each sip of my flat white. Something we forget about coffee shops, and catering venues in general, they are providers of happiness.

Always 5 stars! Staff are so friendly and the kids love the children’s hot chocolate. Milkshakes are perfect. Dog friendly too!

It's been a while since I've been to a BTP and I'd forgotten how good they are. We had brunch and it was delicious. The order at your table via a QR code is super convenient. The service was fast and the staff provided service with a smile, thanking us as we left. I definitely won't be leaving it so long before I'm back for a stack of those delicious hash browns!

Cozy and welcoming coffee house with friendly service and a super nice waitress. The space is clean, including the toilets, and the second floor is perfect for relaxing or working. Coffee is reasonably priced, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the atmosphere is great whether you’re solo or on a coffee date. Highly recommend!

Wow...I was amazed from the entrance all the way out to the exit. Get in ask for a table, sit check the menu, get up go to the counter and place your order, and just sit an wait for the most biggest plate to come over to you with delicious foods. 1 of best breakfasts of my visits to similar places, and while im here I'm visiting again tomorrow for the healthy bowl.

Without doubt the best around for some distance! Haven't found a better coffee yet. Always welcoming and accommodating, especially to my dog who goes in with me. Good food and cakes. Has become not only my go to with friends and family but to work from during the day also. Friday pizza night is also a winner! Highly recommend.

Very friendly environment, both my daughter's regularly visit and both say they found it 1st! Anyway, you are welcomed to a buzzing atmosphere ,with more seating now, as they've extended next door recently, so business is good. Food is well presented, quality excellent, and the service is over and above ( how it should be). Would highly recommend, but same us a seat please!

Forever my favourite local cafe and kitchen. Paul, Hayley, Loren and the team make this place feel like home, and whether you live in the area or coming from away, you'll always be made to feel like that. As well as having the most photogenic and tasty food and drinks, for someone who always takes photos of that. We have visited this Cafe many times now and we absolutely love it- if you are in Knowle, you must visit this place. The staff here are so welcoming and attentive, and very engaging with our young children which is lovely to see, and its great to see genuine beaming smiles. The food is of excellent quality, comes out hot and full of flavour. The decor is modern, contemporary, comfortable and clean. It was super busy this morning. Lovely to see an independent cafe thriving! Staff were nice and accommodating. Coffee was amazing. We ordered the Full English, everything was really nice except the hash browns. One was really tough & chewy and the other was really nice. Quite odd but hey these things happen. Love that it’s Dog /Child friendly. All cutlery is available at the front with clean cups for water. All self explanatory. Very clean.
