One of the best bakeries that I’ve ever been to. Fantastic ingredients and flavours, and so many options to choose from. I’d love to see this place with indoor seating!

A friend and I visited on 13/6/24. If you have not been, you are missing out. The best pastries I've had outside of France and definitely the best in Birmingham. Did not disappoint. I had a croissant with raspberries in it and took a couple home as well as a loaf of sourdough to slice & freeze. Perfection 👏🏻

Absolutely. Beautiful. The vegan croissant is the best I’ve ever had, the service is divine and the array of options means you could go back again & again. Now, bear in mind, to my knowledge there’s no seating; but they really make the small moments matter. If you visit any bakery, make it this one!

Not as large as the Sutton Coldfield branch, but still, it feels exactly like its sibling. I love the historic, comfy lounge interior. Its difficult to extract from it. The staff are awesome. They deliver excellent quality coffee.

A coffee Chain serving great quality coffee. The staff are extremely friendly and the quality of coffee was really good. Was nice to be able to have two different options of coffee blend. The seating is really comfortable and nice relaxed atmosphere. It is great that they serve a gluten-free and dairy free cake option ( black currant crumble ) and lots of other gluten-free and and vegetarian options. Would be great if they had more options for gluten and dairy free or vegan cakes/biscuits. Was served very quickly and service with a smile. Will definitely be visiting her again. Thanks

The service here is exactly what's needed - just great all round; fast, efficient and they're clearly very well trained. I arrived during a significant peak and hardly a wait. There's plenty of seating options including some large bench seats for bigger groups.

Ordered a 3 tier Red Velvet cake for my nephew Aman's birthday. It looked absolutely amazing!!!! It was so delicious and tasty, I would recommend their cakes everyone. Thank you Emi and team Biscotto once again for the amazing cake and service we always receive.

Best independent cafeteria with great hospitality and delicious food including fresh homemade pastries and cakes daily! I would also recommend ordering homemade birthday cakes from Emy, we order them every year for our children’s birthdays, they come in any themes, colours, ingredients you prefer, and they are amazing! They are the best homemade cakes you can get in appearance and in taste! Highly recommend!

First visit here on a quiet Monday morning, charming helpful staff, with pleasant surroundings. Our drinks and Tea cakes were excellent..a little expensive but well worth it for the peace and quiet. Outdoor facilities available.

We've been regulars at Pause since they were in Stirchley and cannot praise their coffee and bakes enough. The coffee selection is always chosen with care and Rory is more than happy to explain exactly where it's sourced and the flavour profile etc which makes a trip to the cafe a more bespoke experience than a regular coffee shop. We also did the coffee workshop which was amazing and very reasonably priced. We learnt so much and were able to have the session tailored to what we wanted to learn about. Also - get the espresso cake 😍

Gorgeous coffee, wonderful sweet treats, a small but perfectly formed savoury menu, and wonderful service. What more could you want? We adore the coffee from Pause and love stopping by for a relaxing moment out of a hectic day. You are always welcome in Pause and we welcome it to our vibrant KH independent scene.

Just outstanding! I cannot recommend Pause highly enough! It's a must visit if you're around Kings Heath and definitely worth the travel if you're not! Featuring ever changing specialty coffees and beyond delectable baked goods, Pause never dissapoints. Farah and Rory have built such a lush and welcoming space, their serious hard work is evident in the incredible quality of their produce and also in the warm atmosphere they have created in their shop. From the first visit I felt treated like a friend more than a customer and even on their busiest days (and many visits later) I still feel the same. Rory's passion for coffee is radiant. His commitment to quality and excellent taste means exciting new flavours carefully selected for the bar and an excellent cup of coffee everytime. I highly recommend asking what beans, roast and roastery they're working with at the moment! Rory has often presented me with a beautiful coffee and an account of it's source and tasting notes. One of my favourite orders this summer has been a spanish iced latte; sweet, smooth and refreshing. Farah's baking is exquisite. With a frequent rotation of some iconic Pause classics, seasonal inspired bakes and new flavour combinations there is no shortage of refined delciousness. More often than not I have arrived to the smell of freshly baked cookies or cinnabuffins and have not been able to resist getting one of each! Must try bakes are of course the cinnabuffins, chunky loaded cookies and the chocolate fudge cake (espresso frosted if you're lucky). Farah is wonderful, her skills and creativity are inspiring to be around and defintely come through in her presence and her cakes! All together Pause is an asset to Birmingham and a diamond of a coffee shop & bakery.

I love Pause! It is tiny, and all of the amazing and varied bakes are made in house. Farah and Rory are both so kind and friendly. Although we have only been a few times, I already felt welcomed like a regular. When it's not too busy it's lovely to hear them share how they sourced a particular tea, the inspiration for a bake, or coffee/tea making tips. The prices are very reasonable for the insanely high standard of bakes and drinks!!

Lovely lady serving. I've just had a lovely mug of tea and a toasted teacake from here. Sat outside with the green in front of me. Very restful.

Ava is a lovely lady that has run this cafe for 9 years and she is so warm, friendly and very welcoming. I hear the All Saints Committee are trying to close her down saying it is not viable or making enough money. Well I say they are wrong and am sure many of her customers will say the same so it needs to be kept open as it an important part of the kings Heath community. Regards Allan.

The best Chai Latte I have tested can be found here! Been here several times and consistently serves a Chai Latte with the perfect mix of creaminess and spice. Lovely little unique cafe with good variety of drinks and food. They also have a loyalty card scheme. Friendly staff and relaxing vibe.

I recently visited this cozy café, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hot chocolate was incredibly rich and comforting, the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. The cake was equally impressive — it had a wonderfully chewy texture and wasn't too sweet, making it a great complement to the drink. The café also offers a selection of board games, which is a fun touch for those looking to relax and enjoy some time with friends. Overall, a lovely spot for both great drinks and a casual hangout!

Really like this cafe, especially their Flat white, one of the best I’ve tried so far. Can do some work on the first floor but the heating works better on the ground floor. The stuff is so nice as well!!!

Excellent service. The staff is very friendly and make a great coffee. If you want a good coffee without having to queue up, this is the place to go! Nice place to come and read or do a bit of work as well. Plenty of plug points and free WiFi.

This is my favourite place but today it was very cold, so I couldn't stay very long. (Also a bit too noisy, but the place is small, so it's difficult to control the acoustics, I understand) The food selection is great and they're always very friendly and since I regularly ask for ingredient combinations which are not on the menu, they're always happy to do it. Also I love the big corner windows - when it's sunny this is the best/only place where you get so much sun coming through to the inside. Overall - my favourite place to have a drink or a bite, and work on my laptop in Moseley and King's Heath!

Always classic says the coffee is amazing. I love the atmosphere love the fact that is an independent coffee shop and always get my coffee just right. Sandy is always lovely with a smile

The chicken sandwich here is really nice! Other food selection looks good too. Need to try some milkshakes. Their opening hours are long, which is useful. Music sometimes played a lil loud and limited seating quite close together. Nice local place.

So glad we found this cafe today, the mini English breakfast was just enough and delicious, great little place to meet up, hope to visit again soon

I popped on and had a mini breakfast...it was hot tasty and satisfying and really enjoyed it, I asked for a coffee with non dairy milk as I'm allergic to dairy products and was offered semi skimmed milk ??? Obviously I just had black coffee..but surely ALLERGENS should be taken more seriously. But overall a place I'd return to.
