We booked Make It Special Events for our wedding last August. I’d shopped around for a venue dresser and Make It Special were competitive and recommended by our wedding venue, Mythe Barn. I’m reviewing Instagram it was clear that they were regularly at the venue and knew how to create a beautiful setting. I’m quite a detailed person and had a very specific idea of exactly what I wanted - however after time working with Jo and Wendy on the proposal I had so much trust in their creative vision and eye for detail that I was open to their ideas and suggestions. Prior to the wedding day itself they created a mock-up of the table setting at their site in Atherstone. This was so useful as it gave me the opportunity to see in advance exactly how things would look and make changes. I know I’m biased but what they did on the day I believe to be one of the most beautiful settings I’ve seen at Mythe Barn. It was so classy and elegant and exactly what I’d wanted, if not better! Jo and Wendy are an absolute dream to work with - they are so hard working and have amazing creativity and attention to detail. I cannot recommend them highly enough - book them, you won’t regret it!

I cannot recommend and thank Wendy and Jo enough for their help throughout my wedding decor planning and then bringing my vision to life on the day! Despite my indecisiveness, they were so patient with me and advised on what works well together, making the process so much easier. They arrived early on the day to set up and we received so many compliments about our decor! Thank you!

Jo & Wendy made our wedding at Mythe Barn absolutely perfect. From the start, they truly listened to our ideas and turned our dreams into reality. As a bit of a control freak, I was nervous about giving up control, but I quickly realised I could trust them completely. They exceeded our expectations in every way. We had two consultations with them, including a final one to go over every detail of our vision. They were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process, always making us feel confident and supported. On our wedding day, everything was exactly as we imagined it, if not better. We hired Bow & magic events for our wedding. We was over the moon with the light up dance floor and all our guests kept on commenting on the sweet cart! Could not recommend them enough.

We used bows and Magic for our event on the 14th August for the LED dance floor and Magic Mirror. Couldn’t fault the customer service and the team were excellent. Lez was fantastic with the Magic Mirror really set the vibe for your wedding.

What can I say, Bows and Magic provided such a wonderful service! We had the pleasure of booking their love letters, dance floor and post box and couldn’t have been happier. The dance floor and letters glistened beautifully and kept our guests dancing and partying all night long. The post box added that special touch for our cards and gifts and guests commented on how lovely it was. Thank you Bows and Magic - we will definitely rebook for any future events and would recommend to anyone looking to add those special extra touches to their events.

We renewed our wedding vows 8th July and despite the torrential downpours it was an amazing afternoon and evening. The space is beautiful, the tipi was just perfect for our band and guests and the children thoroughly enjoyed the play areas. It has the perfect setting with bar, toilets and on site catering. With the twinkly lights it felt magical in the evening. Just perfect for us!

We held our wedding celebration at Enchanting Woodland Weddings on 27th May 2023. What an amazing venue, in the most stunning setting. Emma and the whole team were fantastic from start to finish, excellent with communication and made sure we had everything how we wanted it. The venue itself was great - the ceremony area in the forest was so magical, and the teepee was perfect for dining and dancing. We loved chatting around the fire with our guests, and the kids (and adults!) really made the most of the play areas. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something a bit different and very special. Thank you for helping to make our day so memorable! We had the first spring wedding of the year there 4 weeks ago, which meant the bluebells were in full bloom. It was so beautiful. The venue may be a little out of the way, but what you get is an authentic woodland experience - birdsong, beautiful old trees, fields. Laura, the wedding coordinator, was there throughout the day and evening. She was excellent; attentive, super helpful, and a hit with the young children present as she gave them time and attention. We would recommend renting the lodge if you are staying overnight, as a lot of things can be left there and it can act as a plan B venue for drinks etc if the weather doesn't play ball! The tipi was big enough for our 70+ guests and a dancefloor. It was a really special experience - we would recommend without a second thought.

We had our dream wedding here in June 2024 and still have people talking about it! From booking to planning to the actual day, Emma, Laura, Heather & the rest of the team were just spot on. We got the place for the entire weekend so had the Friday to put everything together. The team took on every kind of issue that could have popped up and made sure we had the best day of our lives. A gorgeous venue with the best team, wishing we could do it all over again :) If you are after an outdoor, private, unique venue that you can add your own flare to - cannot recommend enough!!! If we could five 10 stars we would ♥️

Well Alexis quite simply what would we have done without you! Roll back the clock to our first meeting in 2019 who knew what was going to hit us on our road to marriage, many things that could go wrong went wrong and that is without the global pandemic added to the mix! From our very first meeting we knew you were the one to create our special day, you made us feel incredibly relaxed and understood our vision straight away. On the lead up to our big day in April 2020 I never once felt stressed (which is incredible because you are often told how stressful the process is!) but the difference is by having you we knew everything was under control, you are so organised and meticulous in everything you do. However February 2020 arrived and so did news regarding a virus, fast forward and we went into full lockdown and postponing of the wedding, we were devastated however despite this complete first and unknown event, you were absolutely fantastic and we could not have got through it without you. We managed to have an intimate mini wedding in August 2020 which was beautiful and then our full vision of our reception in August 2021 which my goodness was the best day ever! If we are honest it is hard for us to write down exactly how much we apricated everything you did for us because words really aren’t enough. We honestly could not have done it without you and we are so thankful and blessed you came into our lives to orchestrate one of the best days of our lives. Alexis we cannot and will not be able to ever thank you enough, you simply are the best!!!

We got married in 2012 and I cannot believe it was 10yrs ago now. We originally picked up Alexis card at our chosen wedding venue and I knew then that it was meant to be. Weddings are incredibly stressful in soo many ways and I am very particular. I knew that I needed somebody on the day that had our back and had our full vision of how we wanted our day to be and look like. We didn’t have the luxury of being at the venue the day before due to another wedding, so the first time we we’re going to see the room all made up was the same time as our guests. Alexis met with us, she discussed our wants and need’s and organised and pulled together all the details for the day. Nothing was too much trouble and honestly if I got married again, I would have Alexis. On the day of the wedding Alexis viewed the church to ensure everything was as it should be, she went on ahead to the venue and helped orchestrate suppliers/musicians/photographers/staff/guests etc… when we arrived at the venue, I was literally blown away. It couldn’t have gone any smoother and I honestly put that down to having Alexis. Her communication, organisation, attention to detail is second to none. We used Kat and her team for our wedding venue draping. The team at Shiny People did an amazing job and everyone complimented the draping and said it made the venue come alive. Before the day, they were prompt to reply to emails, very competitively priced and went above and beyond to find fabric that suited our theme. On the day, Kat herself arrived promptly and worked effortlessly by herself. I would highly recommend this company for any of your events- they are a talented team who deserve all the recognition and I wish them every success in their business!

Where to begin! Such lovely people who worked within our budget to make our dream wedding a reality. They truly made our day magical and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for other weddings! I had the chance to work with Georgie yesterday, and she was fantastic! Super organised and always there to help out, making sure everything ran smoothly. She's incredibly hardworking and such a lovely person to be around. From calming last-minute nerves to handling every detail with ease, she went above and beyond to make the day perfect. I’d definitely recommend Georgie to any couple looking for a brilliant wedding planner. She’s truly a star!

Georgie provided on the day coordination and planning support in the lead up to the day itself. We reached out to Georgie about 6 weeks before the wedding when we both felt we needed a bit of extra help in getting our To Do List down to the next level of detail and when we realised we wanted to have extra support on the day with our wedding being split across two venues. Georgie was with the bridal party on the wedding morning as we got ready, ensuring everything went like clockwork. We were all ready exactly on time, feeling so calm and relaxed that we all ended up playing UNO around the kitchen table in all our finery! She was then supporting us throughout the whole day, and as she knows Hampton Manor so well, she works really seamlessly with the rest of the on the day team. We couldn't recommend Georgie enough. It's sometimes hard to explain exactly what a wedding coordinator will do if you haven't worked with one before, but Jon and I have both reflected after the day that she was worth her weight in gold in terms of ensuring things ran smoothly.

I am writing this review as my wedding day has finally came and what an adventure it has been. When we first set a date, the thought of planning a wedding alongside working and raising a family felt overwhelming. Although I must admit a part of me was telling myself 'you can do it'. However, I kept procasinating and was uncertain where to start (is it the flowers, dress, venue.. lots of questions). I was recommended and introduced to Georgie from Lux Wedding Planner and had only ever seen wedding planners through watching films (my expectation was quite high!). Georgie did not disappoint. The relationship you build for me is the key to wedding planning and through Georgie's friendly authentic nature, curiosity, listening skills and understanding, it was easy to develop a relationship that was the foundation to create my dream day. Georgie was on hand and ready to negotiate and communicate on my behalf which reduced so much pressure. I was able to share my ideas and Georgie listened and was able to find ways to bring this to life. And Yes, my wedding was the dream I had as a little girl. Most importantly, Georgie showed great care and enthusiasm in her work which is a testament to her character. When the day finally came, Georgie was there- It is funny to think Georgie was once a stranger to me and now she is sharing one of my most precious memories with me and as I reflect - there is no one else I would have had to support and share it with. Georgie took all the stress from me in the day, allowing me to embrace the day and ensured everything moved smoothly. Even running to get my lipstick for my photo (sorry Georgie!). Wow! Working with Georgie was a dream from start to finish. Not only was she the ultimate professional with clear communication, vision, and support from a suppliers perspective, she was a constant support to the Bride, Groom and guests throughout the wedding day. I am so happy with what we achieved together and I can’t wait to work with Georgie again!
