Couldn’t recommend Gary enough. He is excellent at everything he does! No job is too big for Garry and he’s always on hand for emergencies when needed. Not sure what we would do without Garry at home and at work!

Garry was recommended to me to fit an outside tap. Since then he has completed lots of jobs for us including cleaning and re sanding/sealing the block paved drive, fitting a handrail, rotary washing line, a key safe and other jobs. Garry is reliable, friendly, turns up on time and works non stop often spotting and completing other jobs too (such as clearing the guttering) He always leaves everything tidy and nothing is too much trouble, rates are also very reasonable yet high quality materials and work. I have already recommended him to friends who have also been impressed with the work carried out. We have already agreed on more jobs and will be booking Garry again in the future.

Paul did a fantastic job putting in a showers unit and taking out the old bath as my mum is now unable to get into the bath. Cannot fault his workmanship, friendly nature and professionalism. Would highly recommend Paul for any work you may need. I have also recommended him to my own family.

To say we’re pleased is an understatement.The whole process of changing our bathroom with Paul was fantastic. He took time at the beginning to talk us through our options, guided us as to the quality of suppliers and advised and consulted throughout. Paul was able to complete several jobs at my home. Door fitting with frame and architrave, window fitting, and plastering, amongst others. Paul’s work is top quality, he works efficiently and tidily. His communication is outstanding and he is always punctual. I would highly recommend Paul and I will always use him in the future.

I’ve used J H Building Contractors for two tricky projects, including knocking a kitchen and dining room together with complete refit, creating a utility room from the back of a garage, including knocking through a door from the hallway, replacing an external doorway with a window. More recently they converted my garage into an office, involving roof replacement, velux windows, again knocking a doorway into the hallway. Also a bathroom refit at the same time. J H managed getting all needed trades onsite at the right time and ensuring a high standard of work. Timelines were kept and any changes to cost were explained and justifiable. J H provide an excellent service all round and I couldn’t recommend them more.

We had a single storey extension across the back of our property built by John, James and the team. They are very professional, punctual, friendly, courteous and highly skilled. The quality of work was excellent and we are very pleased with the outcome. Friends and neighbours have commented on how good it looks. I would recommend JH Building Contractors wholeheartedly.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending J H Building Contractors. From start to finish John, James and all their crew were amazing. They had the task of joining the main building of the Shirley Institute (a community centre situated on Church rd, Shirley) to the separate hall, providing additional toilets and storage areas. They also built a much needed entrance porch to our Grimsley room and altered the layout to two of the halls and kitchen. All this was accomplished whilst most of the Institute was still being used by the public! They were so patient, so obliging and so courteous with all of our user groups. Nothing was too much trouble. The end result speaks for itself. The bookings have increased and all the people who use the premises are very impressed and very Happy! Thanks John and James. We had a double garage conversion into open plan kitchen and utility. James and his team were exceptional from day one. He was reliable and turned up when he said he would and was always at the end of the phone. James included us in every step, gave his suggestions when we needed it but let us make final decisions. He was very open and honest upfront Incase we encountered any surprises along the way, luckily we didn’t. The attention to detail and installation was faultless and the most enjoyable thing having JH build was how they effortlessly managed all aspects, making sure everything was done in the the right order with no delays and arranged everything. He was always 2 steps ahead so there were no delays. I was surprised how over and beyond james went, discussing the project with neighbours and when my husband accidentally drilled through a water pipe a few weeks after completion james was round in a few minutes to help. Thanks to how quick he came he saved the kitchen been flooded. We are thrilled with the work and have JH builds booked for another reno next year. Would 100% recommend

We have recently had our open plan kitchen work and front of house alterations completed by TA smith . Very happy with the work as this was quite a complicated build with 9 steels to install . We had already used them before for our garden room build which we are very happy with . They are a very good company to deal with from measuring to the very end of the project The guys are all very polite and happy to go that extra mile for the customer . We also have pets which they are very considerate towards also . Overall a very hard working group of caring people . Had TA Smith Builders over today, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. They installed a lintel above the door and a baton in the kitchen window, and the workmanship was top-notch. You can really tell these guys take pride in what they do—everything was done cleanly, efficiently, and to a high standard. They were also punctual, friendly, and left everything tidy, which is always appreciated. Highly recommend TA Smith Builders for their excellent service. Very happy with the work!

Bal created a neat cabinet door for our downstairs toilet. He was very responsive aftee we contacted him and attended within a matter of days. His work was of a high standard and well priced. Would highly recommend.

Based on previous reviews we chose Bal to quote for some work on our porch that required attention. The whole process was really slick, from the first visit to discuss the scope of works through to the job itself. Brilliant customer service. Nothing is a problem these guys who will tackle all jobs requested from roof repairs, guttering, carpentry , electrics , jet washing to name a few and have carried them out to the highest level. I kept listing repairs and all were done in a flash. Wish I’d found them sooner rather than let house and garden maintenance build up They are polite, very tidy and realistic pricing. Unique and worth waiting for as they are busy which is not surprising given their customer service and skills They deserve a higher rating than 5*

I had a couple of outdoor jobs for Wayne. He called round to check the requirements and provide a quote, then came a few days later to complete the job. Good communication, friendly and professional. I won't hesitate to contact him again in the future.
