Side door removed and wall bricked. A smaller job but I wouldn't trust anyone but JH to do the job. From start to finish I've been very pleased. JH has previously built my kitchen extension and garage conversion to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

We had a double garage conversion into open plan kitchen and utility. James and his team were exceptional from day one. He was reliable and turned up when he said he would and was always at the end of the phone. James included us in every step, gave his suggestions when we needed it but let us make final decisions. He was very open and honest upfront Incase we encountered any surprises along the way, luckily we didn’t. The attention to detail and installation was faultless and the most enjoyable thing having JH build was how they effortlessly managed all aspects, making sure everything was done in the the right order with no delays and arranged everything. He was always 2 steps ahead so there were no delays. I was surprised how over and beyond james went, discussing the project with neighbours and when my husband accidentally drilled through a water pipe a few weeks after completion james was round in a few minutes to help. Thanks to how quick he came he saved the kitchen been flooded. We are thrilled with the work and have JH builds booked for another reno next year. Would 100% recommend

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending J H Building Contractors. From start to finish John, James and all their crew were amazing. They had the task of joining the main building of the Shirley Institute (a community centre situated on Church rd, Shirley) to the separate hall, providing additional toilets and storage areas. They also built a much needed entrance porch to our Grimsley room and altered the layout to two of the halls and kitchen. All this was accomplished whilst most of the Institute was still being used by the public! They were so patient, so obliging and so courteous with all of our user groups. Nothing was too much trouble. The end result speaks for itself. The bookings have increased and all the people who use the premises are very impressed and very Happy! Thanks John and James. We had a single storey extension across the back of our property built by John, James and the team. They are very professional, punctual, friendly, courteous and highly skilled. The quality of work was excellent and we are very pleased with the outcome. Friends and neighbours have commented on how good it looks. I would recommend JH Building Contractors wholeheartedly.

I’ve used J H Building Contractors for two tricky projects, including knocking a kitchen and dining room together with complete refit, creating a utility room from the back of a garage, including knocking through a door from the hallway, replacing an external doorway with a window. More recently they converted my garage into an office, involving roof replacement, velux windows, again knocking a doorway into the hallway. Also a bathroom refit at the same time. J H managed getting all needed trades onsite at the right time and ensuring a high standard of work. Timelines were kept and any changes to cost were explained and justifiable. J H provide an excellent service all round and I couldn’t recommend them more.
