We visited the Capstone Country Park last weekend. The car parking is free, and it is a beautiful park- where one can feed the ducks. Duck feed can be bought on site. The restaurant served coffee, tea, hot food, some bakery. The prices are very good. Dogs are allowed on leash. There is also a play area for kids- so its a perfect outing for a family. Will visit again.
Capstone Form Country Park covers 114 hectares of former farmland set on the North Downs. There are a variety of habitats withing the park there, including ancient woodlands, old orchards, fresh water lake with swans, ducks and seagulls, meadows and hedgerows. Many of woods and hedgerows are more then a hundred years old. You can use different trails for your walks or cycling there and enjoy fresh countryside air. There are playground for kids, cafe, which is working 7 days a week with last order for all food at 3 pm, toilet facilities, and 2 decent size car parks. The car parks are free of charge, so you are not limited for time you are spending there. Although, the closing time ( in August) is 8:30 pm, Sept - 7:30 pm, Oct - 6:00 pm, Nov - Feb - Main car park- 5:00 pm, Drow Hill - 4:30 pm, March - 6:00 pm, April - 7:30 pm, May - July - 8:30 pm. Also it is closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. There are plenty of benches to have picnic or just relax and enjoy the area around there too! Great place to bring kids and dogs. Although dogs are not allowed at Round Grade Woodland, other areas are safe. We have had a great afternoon there, luckily for us was sunny day too! :)
Lovely park. Safe to let dogs off lead to run over open fields and explore woods. Ruin of very old house. Cafe is dig friendly with lovely staff and good food. Can sit outside and eat looking out over lake. Cafe sells duck food and doggie and human ice cream. Free car park and outdoor play equipment. Adult outdoor gym equipment in woods. Great place
Lovely helpful staff. Very reasonable prices. We had focus breakfast, it's was good. Very casual. Dogs allowed. Picnic tables near a pond, ducks etc. Free parking. Did the job 👍
