Wonderful place! Greetings as soon as you step through the door and a large menu had us pulling up a chair. We were looking for a place for breakfast and after looking at the wide range of choices they had, including vegetarian options, we decided this was the place for us. They have a nice breakfast range as well as lunch including the option for takeaway. I had Set Four for my breakfast, the sausages in the breakfast were so flavourful and the fried eggs were cooked perfectly! It was just what I was hankering for. Delicious to the last bite.

Absolutely beautiful Fathers Day lunch. Highly recommend & will definitely be returning! They didn't have any mushrooms & our meal was incomplete when it arrived, but it was quickly rectified! The quality & temperature of the food was perfect. Most DEFINITELY the BEST cafe in Kent!

First time here,and loved ivy's kitchen. Great customer service,friendly and chatty. Very clean inside. Price for a family of 5 was a surprisingly £42 which I thought was awesome. Food is very good really enjoyed being here. Would definitely come back.

Lovely owners, amazing home cooked food with so much to choose from, good price's. Something for everyone. Eat in absolutely lovely or have it delivered. Only just found the place and I will definitely be back again.

Best tasting home cooked food I've ever had at a cafe! The man here cooks everything from fresh, he prepares the, bacon and onion puddings and suet puddings by hand, a long process and secret recipe he tells me, as well as other meals he prepares by hand in advance. Pardon the pun, but the proof is in the pudding (steak n kidney my fave), if you want mass produced tastless food, go to the kebab shop or chippy, if you want good food at a good price and something tasty on your palet, the galley is your watering hole!

Good traditional cafe that does good hearty food for a reasonable price. Enjoy ordering from them whenever being lazy, staff always friendly. Highly recommend.

Went here with the little one who is very hard to please..... they were getting prepared to close. So I didn't expect much. How wrong was I! They couldn't have been more helpful. We both absolutely loved our food and drink. She said her Berry smoothy was the best she'd ever had and my spinach, chorizo and cheese, toasted granary was soooo dreamy! Highly Highly recommended 👌

This is a very popular place to eat and sometimes seats are unavailable or already reserved due to popularity. The food is homemade, of excellent quality, and freshly cooked. The service is only marked down due to it being so busy at times the staff and chef are rushed off their feet. In my opinion Id rate it the best brekkie, lunch, afternoon tea, place to eat in Dymchurch.

3 meals. 2 x JP..... Jacket potatoes was hard like not cooked properly but also burnt. Cheese was a melted lump and ham burnt on the edges. Sent back but came out the same. Other meal was lovely.

Lovely cafe, the staff are very pleasant and service is the same. Their milkshakes in the summer are super and their crumpets and hot chocolate in winter are quite comfy.

Many thanks to Steve and the team at the bucket and spade who always make us feel welcome , it's normally at half way stop off for our weekly walk but we're parking closer and staying longer , they have a great choice of food and drinks at a very reasonable price, with comfortable sofas and tables for bigger groups ( dogs included) . We came for a tea and a rest but now it's tea , toasted pannis and a slice of cake . Many thanks to all at the Bucket and Spade. definitely see you soon

Helpful staff guided us in. There is a step to get in then two down to some of the table's so not very accessible if you can't walk a couple of steps, however they were very helpful in getting us to a seat. I had the cheddar and chorizo panini. Parents had bacon and cheese toastie and a pests and cheese toastie. Very delicious and freshly made. Great selection of cold.and got drink as well as ice cream and cakes.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. Rachael and Steve the owners are always very friendly and welcoming. Takeaway only at the moment due to covid - had a lovely takeaway cream tea. Enjoyed the very fresh sweet and savoury scones. Can't wait until we're able to sit inside again and relax in there, enjoying the many other lovely things on the menu. Got some milkshakes with my friends and the staff were really helpful. I wanted some modifications to the shakes and they quickly came up with a recipe that tasted so delicious and was exactly what I wanted! Can’t find better food and helpfulness anywhere else!

Nipped in with my Mum for something sweet while we were walking down the beach front, I will admit that I had been eyeing up the place while having breakfast. The staff were welcoming and so polite! They were really helpful with explaining the menu. There were also photos of the food items to help us decide. My Mum got the Brownie Milkshake, with homemade brownies blended into a smooth and creamy, not as thick as she prefers but delicious all the same. I had the Nutty Bubble Waffle, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside bubble waffle, creamy vanilla ice-cream with peanut butter, salted pretzels and salted caramel sauce, all combined to make a salty and sweet delight. Alongside a bag of freshly made doughnuts, this was a wonderful treat to have! Pop your head in and try for yourself 😊

Food was immaculate and decorated beautifully with lots of toppings! Small seating outside as they are a main takeaway place but can accommodate people who want to sit down. Must try if you’re in the area!!
