Terry's Cafe London

Rating: 4.6 (2164) Price Level:
It was my goal to eat a full English breakfast during my time in London and found this place through some googling. It was by far the best one I’ve had. The serving size was huge and each component was incredible. I especially loved the sausage, bacon, and grilled tomato. The tea was delectable too.
Rating: 5 / 5
Really nice, authentic English breakfast experience. Huge portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Service was fast and staff were lovely. We joined the queue before arriving which meant a shorter wait time on a busy Sunday. Hash browns were cooked perfectly although price is a little steep for 3 hashbrowns and we also enjoyed the smoothies which were freshly made. Highly recommend for a no fuss, breakfast or brunch here. Would be nice to see an option to book inside or outside on the booking system in future.
Rating: 5 / 5
This was one of the highlights of my recent London trip -- a proper Full English fry up. The wait wasn't bad (shorter if you're willing to sit outside during the Autumn season) but even if it was longer I'd say it would be worth it. The food was great -- portions were good, everything was tasty, and I learned that a Full English breakfast is a proper hangover cure. Would definitely come back next time I have the pleasure of visiting London again.

This is THE spot if you’re wanting an English breakfast experience. It is such a cute little cafe with the most wonderful and friendly servers. The food was amazing and I wish I could’ve eaten here one more time before leaving London.

The Wren Coffee
114 Queen Victoria St, City of London, London EC4V 4BJ, UK | Coffee Shop P: Not available
Rating: 4.7 (467) Price Level:
Hidden gem, that needs to stay hidden. If you want somewhere to sit and read a book in peace and just escape London for 20 minutes, this is the place to go. With great chocolate and a good selection of pastries, snacks, and the like. It was a joy to visit. The coffee shop is in a church, and this gives the entire place a peaceful atmosphere. One of our favourite places to visit while in London and I wish we visited it sooner!
Rating: 5 / 5
This church/cafe is an unusual hidden spot in the city. Coffee and snacks may not be of a high grade, in my opinion, but it's beyond the point. It's a perfect getaway spot to take a break and spend some time reading a book.
Rating: 5 / 5
Unique spot for a coffee, with an airy and spacious seating area in a church (and an outside seating area apparently - I didn't fancy it in November...). Massive pastries and a standard coffee menu, with porridge pots and chocolate bars also available, as well as cold soft drinks. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is chilled, with plenty of space for people to work or socialise. Worth noting that coffees are served in takeaway cups, which some people won't appreciate, but overall a really lovely place to pause. Also this crazy toilet cubicle (pictured)
Rating: 4 / 5
I only tried the coffee, and it was good—smooth and well-made. The space is set in an old church, which gives it a cool and distinctive vibe. There are plenty of plugs available around the edge and on two social work benches on the far side making it a great coffee stop to get some work done.
Rating: 4 / 5
A lovely cafe hidden in a beautiful church. Friendly barista. Splendid decor and interior. The iced latte was okay, not catching up with the atmosphere unfortunately. Both indoor and outdoor seating available and it’s very laptop friendly, good to work/study. There’s a small secret garden at the back of the church, which is a great spot to sit, relax, or read with coffee when the sun’s out.

LUMI Camden
82 Camden High St, London NW1 0LT, UK | Cafe P: 020 7693 5493
Rating: 4.6 (1206) Price Level:
The lightening in the start of the cafe is much better than if you get seated inside. We asked to shift in front of the bar as there was a sun roof but the tables were a bit packed. The food was great! I recommend the Fry up which is basically an English breakfast and the Spanish iced latte.
Rating: 5 / 5
Friends of Argyle - We were a large group including babies and buggies. The manager welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable and accommodated the children as well. The service was brilliant, you cannot fault it and the food was equally as amazing and delicious also the fresh orange juice was soo good. Thank you for going above and beyond and making us all feel welcome. This is definitely a place we will continue to visit over and over again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing spot for brunch with great quality food. The service was also fantastic. The owner went the extra mile to make our experience pleasant, and this was really appreciated. I would definitely recommend and come back for another visit. Thank you
Rating: 5 / 5
Needed a place for breakfast and could see Lumi was rated highly. I absolutely can see why, the full English breakfast was the best I've had. Really tasty and very nicely presented. Very friendly staff and swift service. Well done to all involved. Will be pleased to revisit if in Camden again.
Rating: 4 / 5
LUMI Camden is a charming café with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing meal. We tried the Mediterranean breakfast and the Lotus French toast, and both dishes were delicious with stunning presentation. The staff was friendly, though service was a bit slow—we waited over 35 minutes for our food. While the portions, especially the bread, were on the smaller side and extra bread came at an additional cost, the overall experience was enjoyable. A bit pricey, but worth a visit for the ambiance and quality of food!

WatchHouse Seven Dials
7 Upper St Martin's Ln, London WC2H 9DL, UK | Cafe P: 020 3096 6434
Rating: 4.5 (733) Price Level:
We love WatchHouse and always make time to visit when we travel to London and we always return to the Seven Dials branch for the atmosphere and wonderful staff. Yesterday we visited to introduce WatchHouse Seven Dials to friends and enjoyed lattes and Full Houses and today we returned for a lighter brunch of poached eggs and lattes plus delicious baked goods. Both days we were served by Kasha (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) who is such a warm and welcoming host, made nice conversation and was knowledgeable and helpful with queries about the menu. She is a testament to the store and combined with the delicious food and coffee, made both experiences perfect. We'll always come back to the Seven Dials branch when we travel to London. 10/10
Rating: 5 / 5
Accidentally stumbled upon this brunch spot and absolutely loved the sweetcorn fritter. The combination of flavors from the tomatoes and avocado on top was truly unique. Tried a blossom-flavored filter coffee—Watch House's filter is the only one where I can distinctly taste the flavor profile. Finished with an espresso walnut financier, perfectly balanced in sweetness. The coffee bean on top burst with flavor when chewed, which was a delightful surprise. Every staff member was incredibly friendly.
Rating: 4 / 5
“I visited WatchHouse on Seven Dials for breakfast, but I was too sleepy and hungry to take pictures or fully appreciate the details. The spot itself is lovely, but the service fell short as my order was mixed up twice, requiring it to be taken back and forth. I noticed the lady taking my order wasn’t writing it down on paper or a tablet, and I couldn’t help but hope she wouldn’t forget anything—unfortunately, she did. Despite this, the highlight of my visit was the filter coffee—Colombia Huila—which was absolutely fantastic. Coffee lovers will definitely enjoy this place for a great start to their day!”

I should first mention the warm welcome and amazing service of the staff! Thank you for your hospitality. There are a variety of coffee and pastries. We came here on 15 Aug and enjoyed our coffee break a lot. There are tables in the basement, and a clean toilet for customers.
Rating: 4 / 5
Absolutely loved my experience here! The cappuccino and Flat white were expertly made with high-quality beans and had beautiful latte art. The cafe itself has a really cozy and inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating. The barista was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect drink. Highly recommend!

Ace Cafe London
Ace Corner, N Circular Rd., London NW10 7UD, UK | Cafe P: 020 8961 1000
Rating: 4.5 (5836) Price Level:
Great cafe, loads of parking which around London is a real blessing. Definitely a bike haven and we'll worth a visit. Food was great and almost has the feel of an old American style diner with long tables and chairs. Loved the place. Highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
Historical biker's cafe with a great vibe and service minded staff. On-site merchandise shop, a stage for live music and huge parking space outside.
Rating: 5 / 5
It's always good to visit a place with history. I checked the place online to see details and it seemed like a nice place where you meet motorbike fans and enthusiasts. On my visit today there was a gathering of vintage cars. I had English breakfast and coffee for food. Definitely a go to location on the weekend to have a meal before heading to another direction where the wind will guide you with Roaring Song of the Engine!
Rating: 4 / 5
Iconic location steeped in history and nostalgia. Food freshly cooked and good quick service. Eating area a bit rustic but adequate. Can’t mention much about atmosphere as I visited on a non event day so just normal passing trade
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing location to suck up the atmosphere of the 60's biker cafe. Did not eat here, unfortunately, but will be returning to sample the renowned sausages with a wholesome breakfast. Originally a tyre fitting garage that has since been a cafe with character.

Beppe’s Café
23 W Smithfield, City of London, London EC1A 9HY, UK | Cafe P: 020 7236 7822
Rating: 4.7 (389) Price Level:
Lovely cafe for breakfast. Family run cafe with friendly staff and excellent service. Food was fantastic and excellent value for money.
Rating: 5 / 5
A neighborhood gem! Stumbled upon Beppe’s before catching the bus to Camden Market across the street. Family owned and operated, it’s a fabulous cozy stop for breakfast/lunch/coffee, etc. Space: It’s cozy inside with booth seating. As it’s been there for decades, the seats are a bit snug for us slightly more generous sized humans :-) but not uncomfortably so. Food: When in England, breakfast is a must. Farm fresh eggs and delicious back bacon. What’s not to love? Portions are generous. Cost: Under £15 for a #4 and a flat white. Overall: Takes cards but as a small business, I’d say cash would be preferred.
Rating: 5 / 5
Hello What a little gem in close proximity to City too and St Barts. Wonderful service in old fashion way. Terrific food & coffee. Oh and the chips served as you used to get them in the old days.
Rating: 5 / 5
Fabulous lunch for under £13. Smoked salmon and poached eggs with avocado and asparagus and toast for £10.80. A gem of a cafe, opposite St Bartholomew's Hospital.

KOZZEE Cafe Soho | Brunch, Coffee & Desserts

Rating: 4.6 (2545) Price Level:
Went to “The Breakfast Club”, but there was a que, so instead we googled breakfast places and found this spot! Little did we know we’d found the best brunch spot in London! Food was as tasty as it looked! Service was friendly from the time we walked in! And the music was at the right level the whole time! Would definitely come again!
Rating: 4 / 5
The food overall is good. My mum enjoyed her English breakfast a lot. She said that the bake beans were outstanding and going really well with other elements on the plate. My veggie stack with waffles was just okay. The eggs were poached slightly over, so the yolks were not as runny as they should. Halloumi was kinda add-on but not really belonging to this dish. The popcorn brownio was so sweet. I couldn’t finish it, but I was advised that it should be that sweet. Service took a bit of time, we waited for around 20 minutes for the food.
Rating: 4 / 5
A nice place for breakfast in central London. It has a lot of options from sweet to savoury for breakfast. I had the All American Vegetarian breakfast, the pancakes did seem like it was reheated from a supermarket but everything else tasted fresh. My coffee came after my food which was disappointing. We also had to ask several times for the bill and they actually brought the card machine before giving us the bill. The venue was also very cold, we visited in January but it didn't seem there was any heating on.

Rating: 4.3 (5972) Price Level:
The best cafe for food and drinks in London. I came here after watching the viral Alia Bhatt Reel and tried the milk cake! Heavenly. The price range is a bit expensive but the quality is good too! I tried a blue colored drink, it was delicious. I want to visit again for trying the other cakes too!
Rating: 5 / 5
The food was absolutely delicious - every bite was full of flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. The service was on point, the staff was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. As a lovely surprise, we even received a complimentary slice of cake to try the new one on the menu - a real treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. I’m already planning to try all the cakes they have in the window view (wish me luck!). Highly recommend this place for both the food and the overall experience!

I had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed break in the heart of the city. I was served by Linda, who was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. The highlight of my visit was definitely the Vanilla Dulce cake – it was absolutely delicious. The flavour was rich and creamy, with just the right balance of sweetness, making it the perfect treat.
Rating: 5 / 5
I recently had breakfast at this lovely restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. I opted for the Italian breakfast and a cream cheese bagel with avocado and halloumi—and both of them were absolutely refreshing, freshly cooked, and satisfying. I also tried the old-fashioned chocolate cake, which was rich and yummy, though I wasn’t a fan of the jam in it. The ambience was beautiful, with pop music playing softly in the background, making it a delightful experience overall. A special mention to Linda, who served us with a warm smile and excellent attention to detail. Definitely worth a visit!

The dessert lover in me can’t resist stopping every time I pass by this place, completely drawn in by its stunning appearance. Blueberry enthusiasts, get this Blueberry Pistachio Tart! Topped with plump, fresh, and sweet blueberries, sprinkled with crushed pistachios on the edges, and filled with layers of blueberry jam and pistachio cream. The flavor is rich without being heavy at all! The Strawberry Napoleon was unexpectedly delicious. The ingredients were super generous (perfect for two to share), though it is a bit on the sweet side. Pair it with coffee, and it’s just right!

The Wolseley
160 Piccadilly, London W1J 9EB, UK | Cafe P: 020 7499 6996
Rating: 4.4 (6795) Price Level:
The Wolseley, an elegant café-restaurant in London's Piccadilly, offers a quintessentially British dining experience that pays homage to its history as a former motor garage. The interior exudes a grand atmosphere, reminiscent of classic European brasseries, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Their Traditional English Breakfast is a highlight, featuring perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, premium sausages, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, and toast, all served with a side of black pudding. The portion is generous, embodying the essence of this beloved morning fare. Equally noteworthy is the Bubble and Squeak, a comforting dish made from leftover vegetables, particularly potatoes and cabbage, which is pan-fried to create a crispy exterior while retaining a soft, flavorful inside. The Wolseley elevates this classic dish, adding a touch of refinement. Overall, The Wolseley combines historical charm with exceptional British cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of traditional fare in an iconic setting.
Rating: 5 / 5
Always impeccable service and great food. We were super late for our reservation due to road closures but they were so accommodating (parade on Piccadilly) and allocated us a table later than planned. We love it here and find the atmosphere much more pleasant than the city branch.
Rating: 4 / 5
+ An expensive breakfast, but worth the experience. A renowned cafè-restaurant located in a prime location. Sophisticated dining in a beautiful setting, with good service. A nice treat. - The English breakfast could have included a piece of toast at least for the price paid, rather than being an extra, charged, add on :/

Came here for afternoon tea. It was fairly decent. The sandwiches were nice, scones were really fresh and tasty and the desserts were ok. I didn’t think it was particularly outstanding but it was tasty. Some of the desserts were a little too sweet. I enjoyed the hot chocolate. Service was great, our waitress was lovely and gave us gold recommendations for tea. She kindly let us takeaway our leftovers too and wrapped up an extra person for our friend who couldn’t make it.

Just had a really splendid all out birthday afternoon tea at the Wolseley (my Top Tip - eat as little as you can for 24 h beforehand to do full justice to this menu!). Some beautifully executed food, including a fantastic twist - their London Rarebit adds top quality bacon & soft yolked egg to the toasted cheesy sourdoughy magnificence of a Welsh Rarebit. Absolutely delicious. Plus one of the nicest hot chocolates I have ever had (and have done some extensive testing over my life!). Best of all was the beautiful service from our lovely waiter Ian. One of my dining out benchmarks is whether people pay attention when I ask for the really icy water I adore. Ian brought me my very own well laden silver ice bucket and tongs - superlative! A highly capable, nice and kind man, nothing too much trouble and almost everything already quietly provided before we even knew we wanted them. Also a very beautiful environment to dine in. Thanks for a wonderful birthday treat - we are already planning our return in the New Year!
