Great independent coffee place . Staff friendly and very helpful . Great selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and cakes - along with locally sourced sourdough bread. Tea and coffee were excellent, and well Worth another visit . Superb window painted signage by @benpma Dog friendly , which is always a +plus

From the first time I visited I loved the place. I know of very few people who put this much passion and effort into coffee, and visiting coffee shops is my favourite pastime! Generally a new one every week. That first visit was nearly 3 years ago and I've been regularly ever since. Each and every time the coffee and service has been second to none. A true gem of a place for all coffee obsessives like myself! Can't help but mention a certain other review on here. Suffice to say I don't recognise the shop or the person it talks about. In upwards and 30 visits I've never witnessed anything like it. I'd suggest anyone reading it look at the reviewers other content. He seems to have a talent for receiving complaint worthy service. If I was moved to leave more 3 star or less reviews (29 out of 43 he's posted) I would be looking inwards for reasons not outwards. I also have to wonder why, if as you put it, "caffeine is caffeine" you are seeking out the most speciality coffee shop you can find, to then complain about the price tag. There is an invention specifically for people who beleive this, and that invention is Camp Coffee.

I’m so happy to have a place like Dandelion - Specialty Coffee here in Buxton. The service is always really friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is amazing. I had a latte and it was delicious — really smooth and full of flavour. It’s such a lovely spot to relax, and it’s great to have somewhere like this in town. Highly recommend!

Had a superb and extremely tasty visit here today. The speciality coffee was superb as was the house coffee. The cakes on offer were equally tasty. I had the peanut cookie! Will definitely come here again.

Popped in for breakfast after a sunrise hike and had the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had. It was all very tasty. Finished with the carrot cake - 10/10. The only downfall was the coffee - not the best but the food was amazing. Thank you Mark

The Best full English I've ever had! We went in on Saturday morning for something to set us up for the day and were not disappointed. The owner served us and was really friendly. I had a delicious mocha and a full English, my partner had a latte and full English, the food came out very hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered a sandwich and drink to takeaway for my dinner, yet to report on that but I'm sure it'll be as delicious as everything else. I think we've found our regular breakfast place, can't wait to go back!

Absolutely lovely little cafe - great food and drink choices, including gluten free. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The friendliness of the staff gave the cafe a really nice atmosphere, we will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend 😀

Lovely place to go for tea and cake. All their tea is loose leaf and the Peak District breakfast tea was really nice. Very friendly staff and really good Bakewell tart.

Lovely place to have a spot of tea/coffee and a scone. The Scones were delicious and are hand made by the owners mum. Very light and fluffy. Coffee and tea both very good. Also, on a Sunday they are open later then most that shut around 4pm, which is why we luckily found this one. Staff lovely and friendly, very recommended!

Stayed in the village for a long weekend and popped in a couple of times. The first for takeaway coffee which was delicious, and the cafe looked very inviting and welcomed dogs, so we went back for breakfast on our last day. The bacon and sausage baps were brimming, and my husband had a full english. I opted for a teacake trying to be good and avoiding the very tempting crossaints and cakes. Highly recommend if in the area.

Great location , especially as weather was very conducive for sitting outside . Had a pot of tea , which was served promptly after ordering . Staff are very friendly and welcoming, made my dog very welcome also .

I had brunch on Sunday 18 May as part of a group of 14 celebrating my daughter’s ‘Hen’ weekend. The food and the service were both first class. We were served promptly and with great courtesy; it’s not easy serving large groups and this was achieved with warm efficiency. Also I had a problem with my car and staff helped me by supplying water. Overall, an excellent experience, thank you very much !

I came to visit the cafe at the recommendation of a friend. Upon entering I was surrounded by a lovely social bubble which creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. With all the good food on the menu, you are spoilt for choice, so when ordering, I asked the waiter Ollie and he recommended the ‘Shakshuka’ (ordering this would be the best decision I’d make all day). The food and drinks came in good time and while waiting you’re greeted by all the friendly dogs from the surrounding tables (yes it’s also dog friendly). Everything we had was absolutely delicious and just the right amount of food. I couldn't recommend visiting enough. You can be sure that I will be returning when I am next in the area.

Great place for lunch, or home made cake and a drink. Friendly staff and lovely well priced menu. There is a freezer full of delicious home cooked food to take home and heat. Roadside parking is limited outside, but many car parks within a few minute walk. Well worth a visit!

Visited Buxton for the day and this was the only place we could find (from searching online) that served plant-based food AND was dog friendly. Nice little café, we sat outside so can't comment on the atmosphere, but the staff were lovely and it was obvious they took great care over the place and what they were serving. We ate the homemade vegan burger and coronation tofu quesadilla, and both were really fresh and tasty!

What a little gem. Four of us managed to get the last table and so happy we did. The wrap we ordered had a fantastic dressing which the chef took time to explain the flavours, and the plum upside down cake was off the scale. Will definitely be visiting again when next in Buxton.

Lovely little place that also caters well for vegans and my daughter was very impressed. Soup, wrap, tofu dish, two nice pieces of cake and three drinks (elderflower cordial, raspberry milkshake and water) less than £30. Friendly staff and pleasant lunch except for the other customers with yapping little dogs!

Loved our visit to the Farm shop and Cafe. Really nice to see local produce on sale, and really yummy products too. We had an iced caramel coffee, iced chai latte and a sticky toffee fudge cake slice. All were delicious! The cake was so moist and fresh! The drinks were really refreshing too. The decor inside is really nice, looks like a converted farm/barn. Really cute cafe :))

Best place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.

Absolutely banging sausage rolls, look at the size of the beast!! Probably will compare every other sausage roll to this one going forwards 🤣

Visited the youndermann for breakfast, got a small youndermann breakfast. Everything was really good, the mushrooms and the oatcake were not my favourite but thats just personal preference 🙂 this breakfast comes with a choice of tea or coffee. Beautiful scenery if you sit outside, overall lovely place to visit. It is out of the way, but is definitely worth a visit.

This is a really lovely Tea Room. We parked nearby and wandered in, past the beautiful entrance and the Queen Victoria postbox (the tea room also serves as the village post office). We were promptly welcomed and seated. The menu was really lovely, as was the food. The three of us really enjoyed the entire experience. So much so, we decided to top it off with ice cream!

Such a cute shop I found in Hartington village in Peak District. Which is located exactly in the centre of the village. Best teas and coffees Homemade cakes and sandwiches can try here. We just walked around the shops and enjoyed the sunset.

Fabulous tea room in such a cosy place. We went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy, we got some ice cream first which was delightful and then moved onto a Bakewell cake, coffee, hot chocolate and a cheese and pesto panini. As we turned up just after 3pm, they stopped serving hot food, however, they accommodated to us as we wanted a panini and the press was still on which was so lovely of them. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. The staff were really accommodating and kind. There were little candles and honey/ gift bits which was a nice touch.

I'm so happy that the Old Smithy has reopened! It used to be a favourite stop on our walks, and we missed it so much. We worried if the new owners would maintain the charm and atmosphere, but we were not disappointed. The menu is basic, but the portions are generous, and the food is really fresh and tasty. The staff are superb!!!! Very friendly, yet polite and respectful. The service was prompt and efficient. Cannot wait to go back. I sincerely hope that the business will thrive and wish the new owners all the best of luck.

This was our third visit to this lovely cafe, each time has exceeded expectations. Today we tried the breakfast and it definitely did not disappoint, good quality ingredients, beautifully presented. The service was spot on too, happy and friendly. We look forward to our next visit. 🙂

I’ve visited The Old Smithy many times! I've been for breakfast, brunch, and lunch and it never disappoints. The food is consistently top-notch, and their signature Smithy blend coffee is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and greet you with genuine smiles. Amazing place. We stopped there on our way home and so happy we did. The staff were the kindest ever. My daughters made a mess but all of them were with a smile and saying dont worry we ll take care of it. Moreover, one of the staff asked us if we wanted a family photo, thas was so kind of him. The place was full, wish it was a bit bigger. The outside was amazing as well, will definitely try to come back during summer as well. A must visit cafe

nice cafe! only got a water from here, but a really cosy environment. ice cream van out the back was a bit of a ripoff though!

Nipped in after a walk. Coffee are nice, sausage and bacon sandwich was delicious. Cakes where lovely too.

A lovely cafe, and a lovely venue. My 3yo loves it at Thornbridge, and it's the perfect location for us to meet my Mom as she lives in the Midlands and we're in Yorkshire. Means we can bring the dog too!
