We found Dayan and the team on Google to help us out with technical domestic jobs for our mum at her home. Dayan and his team are extremely friendly, are always on hand to help and are really understanding with clear communication. Additionally, their rates are very competitive and to a high standard. We are grateful and lucky to have found such a 'handy' service and so local to our mum. Would highly recommend and 100% will be using in the future.

Dayan replaced some LED lights for me in the garage.He was very calm, professional, well organised while being very easy to liaise with. I am very pleased with the work Dayan undertook, better than the original installation. Dayan is multi skilled, and will be our first call for getting the house and garden jobs that need his skills. Andy replaced the roof and insulated our summer house. He also put up curtain rails, clothes hangers, and paintings in our house. Andy was 100% professional, skilled, and friendly throughout the job. He was incredibly fair with his pricing and clear on how long the job would take and therefore how much it would cost us. Andy is a delight to work with and we can’t wait to work with him again. He communicated with us throughout , chased around to get the appropriate materials , turned up when he said he would and did an absolutely excellent and efficient job at a very reasonable price. James and his team have made a wonderful job of our loft conversion, although it’s much more than that. Upstairs, we now have a lovely additional double bedroom and large bathroom and the changes to the hallway and staircase are fantastic. There have also been changes to one of the rooms downstairs, which is much better now the chimney breast is removed. We have a new front door and the whole roof has been retiled. The dormer blends in really well and we love our new round window. Overall, its created so much more space and the finish is first class. We couldn’t be happier. Everyone involved has been highly professional and polite. Importantly, communication with James has been excellent throughout. His monthly invoicing is very clear and easy to understand. We have no hesitation in recommending James Newsam Construction to anyone looking for a high quality building company.

James and his team have done it again! Kitchen design is from Yanni at Howdens, who was excellent. Andy, the carpenter who works with James did a wonderful job installing the kitchen and wardrobes. James and his entire team have been wonderful, polite, tidy and very professional.James himself is always available if there any problems. He has some great tradesmen working with him and nothing is too much trouble. We are very pleased with the extension/ knock through and new kitchen, and would strongly recommend him.

We appointed James in January 2024 to extend our separate kitchen & dining rooms, turning them into a light and airy open-plan kitchen and living space. James is extremely efficient, polite, and respectful. Working with a 1930s house it was inevitable that there would be some structural challenges, but James worked with us, keeping us informed and involved as we devised solutions together. His team are all very polite, deliver work of excellent quality, and clearly enjoy their work and working together. As a result, I was able to continue working from home for much of the project, which saved us considerable expense. Working with James meant that we did not have to project manage the work - he has all the contacts you need - tilers, decorators, suppliers of windows, electricians, plumbers etc. We would definitely recommend James and would happily work with him again.

Found Dayan via Google, I usually like to go via personal recommendation but the Google reviews were great and I needed my TV mounting quite quickly. I was initially booked in a few days ahead, which was appreciated given my late request, but as Dayan had an appointment change he contacted me and was able to help me on the day! Joel built a stud wall and fitted two new doorways for me to create two separate rooms in my home. He also built my decking and fitted artificial turf in my garden. Joel has just completed our garden…... beautifully laid decking, regrouting the tiles so they now look brand new, laying sleepers and even making a wooden arch to fit perfectly across our path. The guy is a genius with a wonderful cheerful attitude, wouldn’t hesitate to use him again 😄

We were thrilled with the work of George The Handyman. We have already had him return to do more jobs around our home. George helped us with a broad range of tasks, including fixing door handles, hanging mirrors, installing floating oak shelves, redoing bathroom silicone, attaching child-safe furniture straps, installing a water butt and wallpapering, as well as building us bespoke made-to-measure shelves in our lounge, plus much more! George was easy to communicate with, punctual, very organised and tidy. He worked through our list of jobs efficiently while discussing everything with us to ensure we were happy with the finished result. We also really appreciated his transparent pricing. George is an incredibly hard worker, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Can’t recommend George enough! He worked through a list of jobs on the first visit from blinds to my garden gate and then he built the most awesome media wall for me in less than 2 days finished and painted whilst fitting in other little jobs. He is unfazed by any jobs and is awesome at woodwork. Professional and friendly I highly recommend him!

Trevor advertises as a handyman, but he is much more than that. He is a precision handyman. He always plans his work carefully, and then executes that plan with great accuracy. He has done 5 jobs for us now, the latest was the complete installation of a kitchen. The kitchen was from a mid-range supplier, Wren, but thanks to Trevor's attention to detail it looks like a kitchen that would have cost twice the price.

Moved house 7 weeks ago and had a long list of things to get done from shelves in the kitchen/utility, a shed to build, a garden office to finish and so on. Trevor is working his way through the list and everything is done to a high standard. He has such a broad range of skills, never over commits and is reliable. He is also a very decent guy. Recommend him highly for a wide range of jobs.

Trevor recently completed a range of jobs including refitting a very stiff front door, boxing-in pipework and fitting shelves. He was very professional and everything was completed to a high standard. We shall certainly be calling him again.

What a nice knowlegable guy. Trevor came at short notice and fitted a floating console unit, hung a picture and levelled off some seriously off level cupboard doors. I could not be more pleased with what he did, the way he works and how respectfully he treated my property. Highly recommended.
