Steve and his team did an excellent job replacing our arched patio door and window frame, fitted perfectly and job was completed with a minimum of fuss, on time and on budget. Will be using Castlewood Joinery again - but now I have to get in line behind my neighbours!

I generally get quite nervous going to the hairdressers, but Jazmine made me feel instantly at ease while also ensuring I got the perfect cut for my hair. She recommended the best layers and explained how it would suit my hair type. After hairdresser-hopping for a while, i think this will become my go-to place ❤️🥹

We recently had an issue with our toilet—a slow leak and a valve problem that we couldn’t fix ourselves. Asif from East Midlands Gas & Plumbing was fantastic from start to finish. He communicated clearly, arrived on time, and was polite, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. We’re based in Tutbury, Burton Upon Trent, but I understand they also service areas like Derby and Nottingham. If you’re looking for a reliable plumber for anything from toilet repairs to larger jobs, I’d highly recommend East Midlands Gas & Plumbing.

We needed a plumber urgently on the weekend for a leak in our kitchen. Asif came within 3 hours, sorted the problem quickly and also gave me some top plumbing tips whilst he was here! Would definitely contact again if we need help in future!

Excellent service. They fitted our boiler last year and we haven't had any issues since. Returned this year to do the annual boiler service and gas safety check. Very comprehensive check and friendly, as always. Will be using them every year :)

I had East Midlands Gas & plumbing over for a boiler service and they did a wonderful job servicing my Worcester combi boiler. They seemed very experienced, friendly and offered lots information to make sure I'm comfortable with any work undertaken. Can safely say that I'd be going back to them for all plumbing work in the future.

We had a very fiddly custom job - Peter made some oak mounts and re-purposed some original brass plates for period brass and Bakelite light switches that I wanted to fit in with our old property. It's hard to find someone with the patience to do a job like this! Delighted with result, Peter really took his time to understand and deliver exactly what was needed for a very reasonable price. Recommend!

Pete's work is exceptional, his level of detail is something to be admired. You really can tell the quality difference between furniture which is mass produced and furniture which has been crafted with many years of skill. Yes you have to wait, this isn't something that can be knocked up in a week but rather months. He has an eye for detail that impresses and you are left with not just a piece of quality furniture, but quality furniture that will last a life time. Pete made our bedroom wardrobe with 3 sliding doors with a mid section for drawers and shoe drawers with space for a TV at the top. To each side there are two compartments for hanging clothes each section being lit up when you slide open the door. There is also down lighters and power sockets inside the wardrobe. Upon completion I asked Pete for some office storage with file hangers, this also was done made to measure with every conceivable detail. I would highly recommend Pete for all your carpentry needs.

Pete has made two bespoke pieces of furniture for us both of which we are very pleased with. He came highly recommended by a friend and it is clear from meeting him that Pete has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and and thus he advised us on the best solution for storage and aesthetics. He created designs after careful consideration and we are so pleased with the end products. We would highly recommend!

Yet another fantastic experience of having my hair done by Louise. 😊😊 As always great advice regarding my hair colouring. I am that pleased and always extreemly confident of letting Louise just to get on with it! I’ve known Louise and the team for many years, and I can honestly say me and my teenage daughter adore Louise and the team, We’re both Asian and we have Asian hair we only trust Louise and the team to cut and style our hair and we are very particular about who we trust. I used to have alopecia because of Louise I got my hair back and my confidence has grown. Louise has seen both my children grow up-she’s part of our family I’ve also been witness to her starting married life and becoming a mum and I feel so lucky to have Louise and the team as part of our life’s! Lastly can I add Louise is certainly not a racist, I cannot believe someone would insinuated this-this is absolutely 100% false. I hope the person who made this vile accusation is caught, I can’t wait to get my hair styled with my daughter-I won’t go anywhere else!!

Been coming to Lou for years now and I honestly wouldn’t have anyone else do my hair. Lou makes you feel completely at home. She’s just incredible at what she does! Not only do you come out the shop with beautiful fresh hair you count on Lou for a good catch up and cuppa tea. Amazing service.

Louise and her salon is such a welcoming and relaxed place to be in. Louise is incredibly skilled in hairdressing and in particular . I love her honesty about what she can and can’t achieve. She can transform hair beyond most peoples expectations. I would never have my hair touched by anyone else now, my extensions last for ages and with the same quality as when first put in. The hours spent with her are a pleasure. The aftercare is great, you can contact her whenever you have a question and she will do anything to help. As for the comment I’ve just seen below about racism, I’m not sure we are reviewing the same person. And I can only assume this review is written out of spite, the timing of it being such early morning! someone has clearly just woke up and decided to post it. Suggesting it is quite an unfair and damaging statement. The content seems quite contradictory. A good hair dresser but is racist. I don’t think anyone that has a racist tone would make a good hair dresser..... And the people who are saying Louise makes her feel uncomfortable, vanity seems to be more important than morals and values if they keep going back!

When our pump for our central heating system failed 1 week before Christmas Liam at Prime Plumbing was amazing. He had to resite the heating pump due to accessibility issues and squeezed us into his busy schedule. They charged a fair price for the work but the speed at which they completed the work was truly amazing and most importantly the quality of the workmanship was of the highest standard. Great company and a great workman. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Absolutely brilliant service from Simon. I've got a Boilermate A-Class OV thermal store and it was a nightmare finding someone who could help repair it when it stopped providing my hot water. I luckily found Derby Plumbing Services and Simon came out the next day after I rang. Now, one day later, the Boilermate is all repaired. 2 day service! I could not recommend Derby Plumbing Services more, amazing :)

We had an issue at home with our boiler mate system which people who live on our estate and had a miller home know all about. I was recommended by a few neighbours to call Simon at Derby Plumbing Services and after a 5 minute phone call he turned his vehicle around from a job he was going to and came to us. After 45 minutes he had diagnosed the problem and fixed it rather than replacing an expensive circuit board. Amazing service and a very , very knowledgeable gent. Thank you Simon

Would highly recommend Rob to anyone as he can turn his hand to many things and is trustworthy and reliable. Recently had my loft insulated and boarded and there was minimal disruption or mess. Rob reused the old boards where possible to keep the cost down and has also repaired a hole in the ceiling. Thanks to Rob and Charlie for their hard work.

I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. He also put together a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Robert was very professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help us. He is a highly skilled handyman, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Here are some specific things that I appreciated about Robert's service: He was available at short notice, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, but also took the time to do a good job. He was very professional and friendly. What a find! This is the first time I've used Bobby-man-can maintenance. He has painted all the front of my house. He has done a great job at a good price. Polite and nothing too much trouble. I will definitely use his expertise again.
