Phil was very prompt in submitting his quote and kept his promises on start date and completion date. He and his team are very professional and polite. They have replaced the main roof on our house along with a new extension. The job looks fab. I would not hesitate to recommend Phil & his team. We have further work for him in the Spring. Phil and his team recently removed, insulated and put a new membrane on our leaky stone roof before relaying the stones. They ensured that the stones matched in thickness and size so that there wouldn’t be any issues in the future. The team were really hard working and friendly, they explained what they were doing and why and kept me updated. They even turned up when it was snowing and did what they could. I’m honestly so pleased I found Phil and his team and I recommend them highly.

Phil and his team have just replaced our main roof, lower extension roof and bay window roof. After being let down by two other roofing contractors, it's been a pleasure having Phil and his team. The work was carried out quickly, on time, with minimal disruption and we are really pleased with the quality. Phil responds to messages promptly and his team are a great bunch of lads to have around. They were also very considerate of our neighbours. Would highly recommend.

I am very pleased with the new roof fitted by Phil and his team. They were very professional throughout the project. The team were all on site for 5 days a week, ensuring that the work was completed in good time. They took care to do all the complicated parts thoroughly and ensured that no rain got into the loft space. They kept a tidy site and were very pleasant to have around. This was my venue from the minute I turned on the drive. Its just stunning. We managed to have great weather so married outside, the kids spent hours playing hide and seek in the gardens and football in the field. Every guest said how beautiful it was. The staff are all incredible, nothing was too much trouble, the food was 100% I will never forget this place or the team that helped put my dream wedding together. I'm just sad I only get to do it once.

Absolutely stunning venue that we stayed at while celebrating a friend's wedding. The only recommendation that we could make is that the venue could do with putting black out blinds in the family bedrooms as our little one woke up with the sunrise at 4am. But otherwise delicious food, beautiful scenery and wonderful experience.

We had our wedding reception at Shottle Hall in February and were really impressed with everything! Holly our coordinator was amazing throughout the whole process of booking right up to the day of the wedding. The venue is lovely, we also had all of the rooms for the night and everyone who stayed was happy with them 😊 Overall we were super impressed and would 100% recommend to anyone else considering this venue! 🫶🏼

We had our wedding at Shottle on 23.08.24 and it was the most special day. The house and gardens are beautiful, the staff were amazing and the day couldn’t have gone smoother. Our wedding coordinator was Holly and from the get go she was amazing at communicating with us, sorting any queries and helping us plan. I was quite stressed up till our meeting where Holly calmed all my anxieties and put me at ease, and on the day she made sure it all went smoothly! The food was gorgeous and we had compliments from everyone on the venue & the food. Every detail was thought of and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Thank you to the team at Shottle Hall!

Garden Plus came out to give us our garden patio of dreams. They recommended the size of the patio and type of stone we should use and completed it within the time frame they said they would. We now have a really useable outdoor space that works brilliantly for our family. I highly recommend using them for your garden needs.

When I spoke to Dave, he came round and help with some ideas we had, he kept me updated with any issues and came back to make some adjustments I needed, I used him again for a gate which is far better than we were expecting and hoping he also came back to make some adjustments for the gate and unblock a drain which we had issues with. Overall I came highly recommend them.

The best decor company in the UK. They went above and beyond for my reception decor, dealt with my indecisiveness for months, advised me on what would look best and allowed me to make my own changes making the arrangements bespoke, to reflect my colour scheme. They provided me with extras and transformed the room, making it look so grand. I would fully recommend peekaboo and only peekaboo for decor.. The best in the game!!!!! Thank you so much!

Rebecca and the team at Peekaboo were fantastic from start to finish with our event! From the start with the planning the team paid much attention to our thoughts and ideas but also offered their own expertise to craft together a wonderful design. Very good company excellent to deal with. Bought Resiblock oil remover it certainly works I had a metre square ugly black mark and now after two complete applications just a few tiny residual spots left I hope to use the left over to treat them one by one. Pic 1 I forgot to take a before pic this is where the block mark is drying quicker than the sorrounding area pic 2 is what's left after first treatment pic 3 is after the 2nd treatment. I included a stock pic of a similar mark to mine.

I can't thank Luke and Trevor enough for our recent roof/loft work. They are the nicest, most genuine team I've ever met. Their passion, drive, tenacity and hard work make Challis Building and Roofing Contractors a million star business! Roofing in an unusual 28 degree heat can't be easy, and dealing with a very picky client too! I asked late into the job for time consuming changes, but nothing was too much trouble for Luke and Trevor; "No worries was always their response". Luke kept in contact from initial quotation until the job was finished and went above and beyond to acquire materials during the recent shortage. The work was finished to a high standard, on time and on budget. I highly recommend Challis and I hope that our paths cross in future work together.

We had an issue with our lawn that had been down for a couple of years and after emailing Loren (who is an absolute star) we had it all replaced with absolutely no quibble! We are a primary school who recently made contact with Nomow to see if they had any small samples of grass they were throwing out - which we could use in our Year 1 classes to enhance our children's learning. Rebecca at Nomow replied promptly the same day, saying they were more than happy to support our classes with our request. Rebecca was absolutely amazing and ensured a box was couriered out to us the next day! The children were extremely excited to receive their parcel and put this straight to task with their maths. So I have been doing landscaping and property maintenance for over 30 years and have laid many lawns, all of which were real grass, simply because I couldn't find an artificial grass that actually looked like grass. It was either too short or stitched so poorly that you could see the black matting which it was attached to.... that is until I discovered Nomow ! I've been ordering from them now for approximately 8 years. I was still dubious until my first order , I had it delivered to the job and had prepared the ground , edged off , hardcore , sharp sand all of it being whacker plated. So when I unrolled the roll I was amazed at the quality, I'd ordered a 35mm grass , around £20 psm , so very reasonably priced and the finish when laid was the icing on the cake, it was a wow moment when the customer saw the quality. So in short I can recommend Nomow very highly ! So recently Loren has been dealing with all my enquiries, sample requests for customers , and pretty much everything u could need in information, and pretty much anything needed in relation to artificial grass , whether a new customer or ongoing customer she is a real asset to Nomow and will answer all your questions. Dealt with latest requests perfectly , thanks Loren.... I will attach a few examples of the finish Nomow have helped me achieve with their artificial grass. Don't hesitate to call them !

This company provides artificial grass of the highest quality. I bought this to put under the kids trampoline in the back garden as nothing grew under it except weeds & was an eyesore. The artificial grass has blended in perfectly with my real grass & I'm really happy with the results. 😁
