The locking mechanism had broken down in my kitchen door. I contacted Greenstone Locksmiths in Belper and spoke to George who came out and put in a new mechanism. George is very friendly, efficient and professional and I was informed of the pricing throughout which pleased me. I was very satisfied with the service. I will definitely use them again and I will recommend them as well.

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Keys cut straight away. Even came out to property to adjust key shapes slightly so they would fit perfectly. Really impressed and friendly service too.

Took my Doctor Marten platform sole boots in to Greenstones for repair. The sole was completely split. I had already had them returned by an accredited Doc Marten repair company saying they couldn't do anything. Greenstones managed to replace the sole and it looks fab! I'm so happy. My favourite pair of boots are now ready for new adventures when I thought all they were ready for was the bin! Fantastic job. The young lads in the shop, George and Patrick were brilliant. Thank you.

We recently moved to Belper and George from Greenstone changed our ancient front door lock, meticulously repairing the excess space left by the modern fittings so we can paint it. Looks good as new. An absolutely perfect job and we now have British Standard locks which will bring down our insurance premium. He also installed thumb bolts so we can get out safely should any emergency arise. Being in a very old cottage, this has made us feel much safer. If you want a perfectionist who respects your property and is really lovely, we highly recommend Greenstone. We also popped into the shop on King Street and had extra keys cut for the family. Brilliant job.

We hired Bay 5 for our work party. Fantastic room, lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The bar staff were so friendly too. All for a very good price. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a function room!

Good helpful friendly staff, amazing prices for golf and drinks. Free parking at the back of the building. over 300+ courses to play! as well as the range, shot analysis, games and a lot more. And it’s not just golf either, there’s a function room in the back- with events going most weekends..another huge bar (as well as the front bar) and a cool view out the window over looking the woodland towards codnor.

A fantastic 18 hole golf course, lovely scenery and Deer watching as you play which is fantastic. It's just a shame that they don't reduce the green fees over the winter months like most courses as it gets very boggy.

Just arrived back after a 4 night stay. I can only describe the experience from the minute I arrived until the minute I left as Wonderful, Magical, Cosy, Home from Home, All Team Members ho above and beyond, so friendly and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. I would like to thank 3 people in particular, and this is in no way a reflection as these were the main people who assisted me during my 4 night stay. Tracy, Debbie, Lisa. I would love to put each of them forward for a staff award if you have one. I can't wait to stay again in 5 weeks as I never feel like I am away from home when staying at Morley Hayes it really is home from home. Thanks again ☺️

The champagne breakfast was 10 out of 10. The food was superb, the staff friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, something for everyone, and if you had any dietary requirements, those were catered for too. The atmosphere of the Dovecote was relaxed and unrushed. Thank you for a lovely and enjoyable meal.

I played Coxmoor in September 2023. The course was in fantastic condition. Located in the "Golden Triangle" of Coxmoor G.C, Hollinwell G.C and Sherwood Forest G.C in the heart of Nottinghamshire's Sherwood Forest. The views are stunning the holes are all individual with there own challengers with and the 18th has possibly the longest narrowest green in the county. The high quality a true Heathland course with heather, gorse, broom and grasses is reflected in the green fee but value for money it is well worth it. The club house has a very nice balcony that overlooks the 1st tee and 18th green so you can have refreshment and see how others get on. Practice facilities are very good with PXG having a demo day when I was there. The rating I give are always based on value for money for the quality of course condition, practice facilities, club house facilities including locker room changing/shower, food & drink, car parking.

Four of us played today and had a fabulous time ! The staff were excellent as was the course and also our meals before and after our round ! Many thanks to Lynn, Colin and the club professional who were all very pleasant and helpful. We hope to return in warmer times but I'm sure with the same warm welcome ! Played here for my birthday in October 2024 and had a great time. The course is great and very scenic. In addition, my dad was playing golf for the first time since an operation and the staff in pro shop and bar were very helpful. He's now keen to get out and play again thanks to a good to a good experience here.

Not the longest course but definitely has some challenging holes and tricky greens to navigate. The course is set in beautiful countryside with panoramic views and has been maintained to a very high standard. The greens are superb and some of the best I've ever played on.

Absolute class. My friend and I played on a glorious Sunday afternoon in October, and it was perfect. I knew about the reputation of this course as ‘the inspiration for Augusta’ and it does deliver. Dr Alastair McKenzie knew what he was doing. Amazing views from all corners of the course and despite the overall elevation, because the holes are carefully crafted into the tables of the terrain, it is a surprisingly good walk. The staff (shoutout to assistant pro, Liam) are super helpful and make you feel very welcome. Great hospitality in the clubhouse and you can enjoy watching players come in with a cold pint on the terrace. Cannot recommend highly enough and can’t wait to return next year. Proper golf course!

Played this course today, scenery beautiful. Lovely picturesque back drop but the course is not for beginners. The par 3’s are long, the par 4’s are long and the fair ways are packed with their own challenges. On top of this the greens are elevated with run offs too. Not a single flat hole, either steep uphill or steep downhill. Its a great challenge if you fancy yourself as a player, just not begginer friendly. The staff were nice and friendly, the place itself will no doubt be a good course to return to when i improve. But i play off 25 and today was tough. Thanks for having us Matlock Golf Club

Another great golf course that I have been to up North. Superb condition around all of the course and not just the greens. Will need to use good course management around it as some of the holes have a camber on the fairways so its quite fun and some of the greens can be quite exciting too. The food in the club house is really really good especially washed down with the beer on tap and the staff are very nice. Will be going down again in the next week and I can't wait!! ________________________________ Update: I have fallen in love with this club. Have played all over the UK but feel so great coming here. Brilliant course that is made perfect by the atmosphere of the staff and members alike. Have had great interaction leading to purchases of a new driver and hybrid. Didn't try to sell me just anything but gave me various options of clubs to try and see what suits me. Look forward to purchasing my irons soon and having some more of the great food and drink to quench my thirst after an enjoyable session on this picturesque golf course. _________________________________ EDIT: 14/10/2022 This is my go to golf course now. They are currently in the process of changing the first two or three holes by adding features to them. This will make it more interesting for the more advanced golfers by adding bunkers for the longer hitters as they will come into play on the first hole. The second hole par 3 will incorporate larger bunkers around the green so accuracy will be key. By doing these changes, this course is coming on leaps and bounds and I love every moment being here. You will not be disappointed and the staff are absolutely great to deal with. It's my second home now so to all of you that are thinking about playing this course , do it. You won't be disappointed. Just be patient as you might not be be able to play the first two holes at the moment but I feel this is going to be worth the wait.

Excellent Experience at Matlock Golf Course I recently had the pleasure of playing at Matlock Golf Course, and it was a fantastic experience. The course is in great condition, deceptively looking easy but offering plenty of challenges for all skill levels. Every hole had its unique set of obstacles, keeping the round exciting and engaging. The facilities were top-notch, and the food was excellent, making it a well-rounded day out. A special mention to the professional, Christian Goodman, who was incredibly helpful and offered some valuable tips that improved our round. I highly recommend this course to any golfer!

Loved this course. Immaculate condition and a friendly welcome. Fairly generous fairways but enough of a challenge for a mid-handicap golfer. Favourite holes were 7 (par 3 over water), 10 (downhill par 4 with a narrow green next to water) & 11 (long uphill par 3).
