My daughter attended Kip McGrath prior to her GCSEs. The tuition provided was excellent, all of the staff gave 100%, very friendly and supportive. Jan and Charlotte were great. She achieved a very good grade for her Maths GCSE and I feel this was mainly due to the teaching she received at Kip McGrath. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We would like to thank Martin & Roger with all the help our son Harry required for his extra tuition being able to understand and unlock the missing piece of the jigsaw. Proof was in the results when he passed his GCSE maths👏🏼. Highly recommended.

Played as a green fee whilst on holiday. Fantastic course with lots of interesting holes and great views. Good condition bearing in mind the amount of rain this year. The price was brilliant for the standard of the course. We played late afternoon and had a reduced fee. Definitely will play again.

Peter and the team have been exceptional at helping organize a wake (around 70 people) for a family member. The venue, while simple, offered breathtaking views of the grounds and snowy hills, creating a serene and beautiful setting. The food was abundant and tasty; a selection of sandwiches, cold and hot dishes, as well as tea, coffee, and cakes. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring everything remained clean and organized throughout. Thank you, Peter, for your kindness and for hosting a wonderful wake for our family and friends.

Excellent game of golf, the course was in great shape and the greens were rather fast. Gorgeous pint of ale afterwards and the best fish finger sandwich I’ve ever had!

Played here on a sunny Sunday evening and really enjoyed the course. The tees, fairways and greens were in really good condition, and as far as the holes go my favourite was probably the uphill par 3 9th, although I enjoyed all of the par 3's. Of the rest the downhill par 4 11th will remain long in the memory, and the 12th will have you wondering just how far you can afford to hit your tee shot with water at the bottom of the fairway. With one or two exceptions the fairways are reasonably friendly, so a course that anyone can really play. I'm not saying they'll necessarily score well though. The greens are pretty tricky too. It's not a flat course, so if you have any issues with a few climbs then this might be one to consider getting a buggy. It is worth playing though.

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Set on the hill overlooking Bakewell and the Wye valley below. Catch it on a sunny afternoon for alfresco dining in stunning sorroundings. Note, it is open to non golf club members but booking advised.

We are from Northern Ireland and touring Peak District. We stumbled on this. If you want great views of Bakewell town and surrounding area, combined with a hilly walk in the Dales while playing a game of golf on a super wee reasonably priced course, this is the place for you. A hidden gem. Also, if you haven’t eaten there you really, really should … it is amazing and also very, very reasonable! Finally, the staff are so friendly. If it was my local I wouldn’t go anywhere else. A great memory made. Thank you.

Turned up on spec and only wanted to play 9 holes. " It's cheap anyway, but you have to pay for 18, £20" I was told. Quick look on the web and we booked via a 3rd party website for £10.99 each. Go figure! Nice undulating course with some challenges. It's only 9 holes so you go round twice if playing 18, with different tee offs. I will return for an 18 soon

Superb golf course and setting. Well worth a visit if you get chance, although a little brown just at the moment, the tees, greens and surrounds are well watered so still very playable.

Fairways at Chevin Golf Club had the most delicious steak pie I have ever had. It had chunky beef pieces covered in thick, rich gravy. This is definitely a place for pie!

We play a lot of open competitions a year and two of the Lad's had never played Chevin before so I booked us into an open. The day from start to finish was second to none.We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff from the club house to the well stocked Pro shop then a starter that was a credit to the club. We had a top notch breakfast then a round on one of the very best courses we have played this year. Fairways were just like walking on carpet complemented by true greens that posed some issues to work out the line in short a top course. I would very strongly recommend this class golf club.

Foid night put, great entertainment from the crew. Food was very good, Christmas Dinner with the trimmings. Madrid beer was a bit poor. Although the bar staff learnt to make a negroni! Bloody marvellous.

We came for the Minigolf / adventure golf and it was fantastic! Very welcoming and friendly staff and an overall good atmosphere. We noticed they have a pool, club paddle and all sorts of other activities - what a place! We will certainly be back. Cost £23 for a family of four and well worth it. Plenty of parking too. The mini golf is very well maintained and looks just like it does on the website. Highly recommend it.

When we relocated to the UK from South Africa, a friend introduced us to the Tutoring Room. We were needed a place or person that would Tutor our daughter and bring her up to speed seeing that was to start at year 8. The Tutoring Room welcome us like family, tutored my daughter to confidence. We had to stop at a point due to distance but put her right back for her GCSE resit. I’ve been with The Tutoring Room for the last five years and I can’t imagine my academic journey without them. From the moment I started there in secondary school, they’ve been a massive support in helping me grow and achieve my goals. The atmosphere is always welcoming and positive, which really helped keep me motivated and focused. When I joined, I was looking for extra help with my GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science. Just arrived back after a 4 night stay. I can only describe the experience from the minute I arrived until the minute I left as Wonderful, Magical, Cosy, Home from Home, All Team Members ho above and beyond, so friendly and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. I would like to thank 3 people in particular, and this is in no way a reflection as these were the main people who assisted me during my 4 night stay. Tracy, Debbie, Lisa. I would love to put each of them forward for a staff award if you have one. I can't wait to stay again in 5 weeks as I never feel like I am away from home when staying at Morley Hayes it really is home from home. Thanks again ☺️

A fantastic 18 hole golf course, lovely scenery and Deer watching as you play which is fantastic. It's just a shame that they don't reduce the green fees over the winter months like most courses as it gets very boggy.

The champagne breakfast was 10 out of 10. The food was superb, the staff friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, something for everyone, and if you had any dietary requirements, those were catered for too. The atmosphere of the Dovecote was relaxed and unrushed. Beautiful course, very well looked after. Great setting and views. Greens are excellent, manicured fairways. Some parts of the rough are punishing!!!! I’ll just have to learn to drive straighter . Would definitely go back

Loved this course. Immaculate condition and a friendly welcome. Fairly generous fairways but enough of a challenge for a mid-handicap golfer. Favourite holes were 7 (par 3 over water), 10 (downhill par 4 with a narrow green next to water) & 11 (long uphill par 3).
