Absolutely stunning venue that we stayed at while celebrating a friend's wedding. The only recommendation that we could make is that the venue could do with putting black out blinds in the family bedrooms as our little one woke up with the sunrise at 4am. But otherwise delicious food, beautiful scenery and wonderful experience.

This was my venue from the minute I turned on the drive. Its just stunning. We managed to have great weather so married outside, the kids spent hours playing hide and seek in the gardens and football in the field. Every guest said how beautiful it was. The staff are all incredible, nothing was too much trouble, the food was 100% I will never forget this place or the team that helped put my dream wedding together. I'm just sad I only get to do it once.

We had our wedding reception at Shottle Hall in February and were really impressed with everything! Holly our coordinator was amazing throughout the whole process of booking right up to the day of the wedding. The venue is lovely, we also had all of the rooms for the night and everyone who stayed was happy with them 😊 Overall we were super impressed and would 100% recommend to anyone else considering this venue! 🫶🏼

We had our wedding at Shottle on 23.08.24 and it was the most special day. The house and gardens are beautiful, the staff were amazing and the day couldn’t have gone smoother. Our wedding coordinator was Holly and from the get go she was amazing at communicating with us, sorting any queries and helping us plan. I was quite stressed up till our meeting where Holly calmed all my anxieties and put me at ease, and on the day she made sure it all went smoothly! The food was gorgeous and we had compliments from everyone on the venue & the food. Every detail was thought of and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Thank you to the team at Shottle Hall!

We had our daughter’s wedding on the 01/02/25. This was our first wedding we were completely inexperienced and apprehensive. However, Saleem from start to finish was professional, knowledgeable, caring and most all made us feel at ease. He was very attentive, listened, suggested and guided, nothing was trouble for he had a solution every situation. On the day, every expect of requirement were not only met but exceeded beyond our expectations. The venue, decor, cleanliness, waiters and most importantly the food were outstanding. We received so many compliments from our guests and most importantly Saleem ensured the day was magical for our daughter. We could not have asked for anymore and I would highly recommend Saleem and his team without a doubt. I recently had my nikah at Occasions Events Venue, and it was an exceptional experience. Saleem, the event manager, demonstrated excellent communication throughout, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The decor and food surpassed our expectations, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The venue's fantastic parking facility and beautiful outdoor private space added to the overall charm. Highly recommend Occasions for any special event!

Went for the first time tonight, had a wonderful time. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food! Amazing! Had the Lamb Kebab and Halloumi Kebab and both were so tasty. Lovely big portions and fantastic flavours. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice gastro pub with very friendly owners. Big car park, outdoor seating and modern and friendly interior. Huge portion of tasty foods for reasonable prices. Their steak is one of the best in the UK. I strongly recommend to visit Sally and Martin's restaurant. We will definitely return to try their authentic Greek gyros next time.

Visited here a few weeks ago for a family meal - friendly, quick service, great atmosphere, good music and even better food. Dog friendly. Didn't know what to expect but the food was delicious, far superior to your standard pub meal. Highly recommend the lamb kebab - very flavourful and good salad/fries/olives/dips too. Nothing to improve. Will be back soon! 🥙

Second pub on my mini pub crawl around rural South Derbyshire. A good boozer’s pub. A refreshing and rather creamy pint of Bass, decent price for the pint and plenty of seating in the shade behind the pub itself. Nothing to really complain about at all, been in better pubs, but for what it is, it’s a good pub!

Lovely little local pub, great selection of drinks especially cider. Spoilt for choice with the ciders. Lots of seats outside, it was roasting hot so it was nice to sit outside, just a bit cluttered with all the tables and marquee around the back . Would definitely go again, friendly helpful staff.

A old fashioned country pub with traditional ales and a large selection of local ciders. Warm welcoming landlord and staff. A great place to chill after walking the dogs or just a ramble on the numerous walks in and around the area. Dog friendly and plenty of outdoor seating well worth a look. In the coming months when the weather picks up!!! Hopefully.

I had the pleasure of hiring Steve and his team to do a full roof installation, replacing all the old existing tiles and roofing felt. I have been having leaking issues due a poor dry ridge installation in 2017. After doing extensive vetting and meeting the team I was very confident that I have found the right team. First impressions are important to me, this was maintained from start to finish and I believe they worked on my home like it was their own. Kurt, Lewis, Regie and Jamie were very polite (even when I got their names wrong consistently), genuinely attentive and patient when I asked a lot of questions about what they were doing and why. Each time I left settled and more confident that the work was in good hands, night and day compared to work the that was done previously. Before finishing off the day the team would make sure the surrounding site was clean and tided from debris. I have since (and evening during the work) had neighbours complimenting, admiring the hard work and professionalism the team displayed. I’m very critical and fussy but the final result is ‘perfect’. I have no issue recommending SPH Roofing to any friends and family. Now I just need it to rain so it’ll wash some of the dust off the new tiles haha. Thanks again SPH, Super job.

Steve and his team provided an excellent service from the first call to request a survey and quotation to the work being done. The survey was completed using a drone showing the damaged areas on the roof. Quotation was provided swiftly and work completed within a week. Hopefully the need does not occur again soon but would be more than happy to use SPH Roofing again.

Danny, Gavin & Wayne did an excellent job sorting out tiles that had slipped down the roof due to bad weather and installing new dry verge units (roof edge caps). They arrived on time each day, did an excellent job, which has to be seen to be believed, cleaned up after themselves and were thoroughly professional in the way they worked, as well as being very friendly. If you need any roofing job, we would highly recommend them. A very professional team.

Danny came out on a bank holiday weekend to quote for ridge tiles on my parents house. The the team carried out the work, they were very polite and professional . Everything was left tidy afterwards. I would recommend these guys.

Just had my roof done with these guys. Outstanding service. Great communication, friendly and roof is completed to a high standard at a very reasonable price. I caused a slight delay trying to get a solar panel company to fit brackets. Danny was very patient and in the end fitted the brackets for me. Not many companies will go the extra mile like that. Also special mention to Wayne who was super helpful! Thanks guys.

Can’t recommend GB Roofing enough. Gav really knows his stuff. We had issues with our roof lining which has been sorted and various repairs all over. Will be using for a full reroof eventually but for now we are water tight. We have used on several occasions and wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Staff are punctual, polite and very trust worthy. Tim supplied and fitted our internal double kitchen doors changing them to a glazed unit. We were super impressed with the quality of service and the finish of the work carried out. We would certainly recommend Tim and his services again.

Excellent work from Tim from start to finish. He carried out his work diligently and kept me informed throughout the job on his expectations and what was being worked on next. Any issues issues that were faced Tim managed to resolve by thinking outside of the box. Whilst working he kept the house tidy and was on top delivery, didn't arrive late and finished the job on time. All in all, Tim did a great job and will be having him back to replace my staircase banister etc.

Our Wedding Day was PERFECT, partly because we had Imagine Event's style it! They really listened to exactly what we wanted and it was just perfect. It looked amazing, we had massive artificial flowers and not one guest knew they wasn't real. They honestly looked amazing. Their replies are also so so fast and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I used imagine event design for our wedding decor in March 2022, they made our venue look just as I described, they are super supportive even after so many emails of ideas, and they truly go above and beyond to get your vision to come to life. They came in and set up seamlessly we had zero stress on the day as they were so quick and professional. I don't even know where to begin!! I was absoloutely stunned at how amazing Sophie and the team did on our wedding day. The decorations were beyond beautiful and you guys worked so hard and even in the hottest day on record!! I had no idea what I wanted when I first came to your studio and it's like you guys were in my head and created this vision that was perfect. Even the moongate (with the last minute alterations) was absoloutely amazing and I loved it even more than the original plan! Everyone was so impressed with how the venue was decorated.
