Sutton Bonington Hall is a beautiful and intimate wedding venue, perfect for capturing beautiful memories. The venue offers a variety of stunning locations, both inside the historic home and throughout the picturesque grounds, which are impeccably maintained. The venue also provides space for guests to spread out, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Sutton Bonington Hall provided us with the most special wedding day that we could have wished for.
On our first viewing of the venue, Claire immediately put us at ease and made us feel very welcome which was the main reason we selected the venue.
After booking, we were put in touch with the incredible Donna and the portfolio team who were able to answer any questions and queries in the run up to the day.
On the day of the wedding the portfolio team were amazingly attentive and looked after all of the guests (especially those with complex dietary requirements). Donna even supplied my husband with many cups of tea throughout the day!
One guest even asked how long we had known Donna and couldn’t believe it was only the third time we had met her because she was so brilliant and looked after us so well!
The hall provided the perfect dance floor for a ceilidh which was great fun and the library allowed guests to rest next to the fire and recover from all of the dancing!
We felt privileged to get married in such a beautiful location and can’t recommend Claire, the venue, Donna and the portfolio team highly enough.

The most perfect wedding venue for our special day. Claire was exceptionally welcoming from our first visit and we were so pleased we chose Sutton Bonington Hall. The place looks stunning even in the pouring rain and the size of the house was ideal for our guest numbers. Lots of people gathered in the cozy library or the dining room to chat whilst others danced away the evening. Lots of comments and compliments about how beautiful the space was and how well it worked as a venue. Having the space upstairs to get ready in the morning with my maids of honour as well was great.

The most beautiful intimate wedding venue! The grounds and garden are immaculate, providing plenty of nooks for younger wedding guests to play or hide, but also has nice open spaces that seem to be made for garden games! Inside is just as lovely! The real showstopper is the conservatory, which has a ‘living wall’ - it is covered with Jasmine and has fairy lights that come on in the evening. Other rooms include the Library, which is a great place to rest (very popular with the older folk), and the ceremony/dance floor room which has everything needed for a live band to easily set up. The bar was well stocked by the catering partners (Portfolio Events) and expertly tended. There is a room upstairs which is accessible from 10am for the bridal party to get ready in, though this can be negotiated.

It is worth noting that there are steps into the Conservatory (where the wedding breakfast happens), though the venue may be able to use ramps (we didn’t ask, as it wasn’t necessary). There are also no rooms onsite for overnight stays, but there is plenty of lovely accommodation a short taxi drive away. Lastly, there are only three loos (one gents, two ladies).

All in all, a beautiful venue and a perfect day.

Incredible venue for a wedding! We went to visit Sutton Bonington Hall as a wild card and Claire the owner totally won us over. What makes this venue special is you can really make it your own, the grounds are stunning and Jel the contact from Portfolio was an excellent coordinator of the day. We hoped for a party and that’s exactly what we got! No corkage was a huge plus for us and Portfolio were great at ensuring everyone always had a drink in hand. Thank you to Claire and Ed for opening their house up for a small number of weddings each year, we have such fond memories of our special day here 14 months ago. Lovely also if you get married at one of the two local churches so everyone can walk between the church and venue which ours guests loved! You can get a beautiful photo of both venues in one shot. Book this venue, you won’t regret it - start early as music and bar has to be closed by 11;30pm ish which was the only downside.
