I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely beautiful, right next to the river, and it’s also close to some fantastic local hiking routes—perfect for exploring the area. The rooms were spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic, with great options for vegans, which was a huge plus. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and truly hope to return soon!

My partner and I had an overnight stay here on Valentines night. What a beautiful place! The customer service was excellent from start to finish, from the warm welcome at reception to the enthusiasm and knowledge of the wine waiter Alistair and prompt efficient service in the dining room.
The food was absolutely 5 star and the bedrooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Overall the best hotel experience ever! Thankyou to all your wonderful staff members for making our stay a memorable one!

We had the most perfect baby shower at Rafters Riverside, they have a perfect private room that they offer with no hire charge, it's stunning! We had a beautiful afternoon tea and the food was beautiful. I can't rate this establishment highly enough. They went above and beyond and were so accommodating. Thank you for making our gathering so special.

Stayed at Riverside hotel for one night. Our room overlooked the garden and had a lovely view of the river. Our room was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The service throughout our stay was excellent and the three-course breakfast was delicious and plentiful, although, sadly we were unable to eat everything on offer.... We had vegan/vegetarian dietary requests, which were catered for, even to providing a beautiful vegan brownie along with the complimentary choux bun....
The staff at Riverside are incredibly welcoming and professional.
The only downside for me was the proximity to the road, not a problem if you're not a light sleeper, sadly I am so I did hear traffic quite early on, although next time I'll be sure to pack earplugs...I would recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

A lovely hotel nestled in a quiet village. Having stayed here before we were looking forward to revisiting. From the moment you walk in the staff are so friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Carlos was the perfect dinner host and even put aside some bread and butter for us to take home the following morning. The garden rooms are bright and airy and beds and pillows are very comfortable. The waitress at breakfast was lovely; she remembered us from previous visits. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous but you definitely need room for it. On this occasion we just opted for the full English as knew we wouldn't have room for all the courses. We love visiting and can't wait to revisit.
