The food here is really good. Everything we've tried on the menu over several visits has been a hit, and a great wine list to go with the food. Great staff who are really friendly work hard to make sure you have a good meal.

Lovely little restaurant with very friendly staff. This was our second time here. Nice small menu with seasonal and fresh ingredients and enough options for a vegetarian. Good selection of wines and some cocktails as well. Very nice place for small groups or couples who like to taste different flavours and share small plates. Would definitely recommend!

Had a really lovely dinner here, picking between a couple of small plates. They change their menus but the tender stem broccoli and steak dishes they had when I visited were particularly superb, as was the Guinness cake dessert. Service was also friendly and efficient so I will happily revisit.

I was sure I'd left a review last time, but apparently not!! And I'm glad, as I wanted to shout about how amazing the food was this evening.. And now I can! We went for the whole menu between 2.5 people. In the first wave of food I actually said "Oh shut up, that's ridiculous". I know it's an ever changing menu, so I almost feel bad saying how good the carrot caesar salad was, as you may not get to try it... but if it's on the menu, don't miss it! My son devoured the kale! And the feta, broccoli and romesco, blooming brilliant! And the verbellini. I'm going to stop listing everything I ate now. But it was cracking.

Next level Sunday roast I’ve helped make Sunday roasts since I was knee high to my father. I know, from my family’s efforts, what a good Sunday roast should be. So I thought. I sat in the comfortable, bright setting of Verbena to be entertained by a taste sensation. I ordered the pork belly with apple sauce served with yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roasted carrots & parsnips, cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, buttered greens, house vindaloo & gravy. The attention to detail of the taste, texture profile of every ingredient. It made me react in a contradicting manner. On the one hand, I applauded it. On the other I felt unhappy that my Sunday roast efforts weren’t anywhere near this level. The meal, the contemporary, classy setting. It’s a bargain for a £16 tour de force roast. I would love to meet the chef one day and thank her for elevating such an iconic meal.
