Always brilliant food here and good value. Staff are very attentive in particular Shannon who is lovely and polite, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Our visits here are always enjoyable.

The staff is very friendly, and their food is incredibly flavorful, with a great variety of options to choose from. I would definitely visit again. Our server, Ms. Ginny, was very kind in recommending some excellent menu items and was also polite and gentle throughout our dining experience.

Excellent service, portion sizes were wholesome - no fancy food with small amounts, they serve to feed! I thought the mains was fabulous till the dessert came along, got even better!

We popped in here today as our usual Thai lunch spot in Rickmansworth on the river had closed suddenly , we were not disappointed and were delighted to see our friendly Thai chefs in the kitchen that we have known for years!!! Excellent food , great drinks , friendly staff and dog friendly . Definitely be back !!

My sole visit was Christmas Day. Three of us arrived shortly after 12 o'clock. Many of the tables had (understandably) been pre-booked. The staff directed us to a table that was not booked until later. The two ladies working were both charming and welcoming. Each of my three pints were great and poured (as per my request) with minimal froth. If I lived locally, I would definitely be a regular. My apologies to the two lovely ladies working on Christmas Day. I promised to leave a positive review. I didn't quite plan to leave it this long.

We chose the White Horse to hold the wake for our Mum who had passed away. Absolutely blown away with the food the kitchen had set out and the celebration that we had. Alice , Sarah and Lisa had everything in control from the time our guests arrived. John and his girls in the kitchen were on the ball. We had such a great send off for mum. Thank you so much Alice and the WH team.

Delightful down to earth pub. No flash just good honest friendly service in comfortable surroundings,popular with locals obviously. Food very good value and very tasty Thai indeed. Even the rogue pizza that made it to our table was moorish! Drinks prices reasonable as well!!

The entire meal was outstanding, but the banoffee pie was absolutely divine! The perfect balance of creamy caramel, fresh bananas, and a buttery crust made it the highlight of my evening. I'll definitely be coming back just for another slice!

We really enjoy our evening at this lovely Italian restaurant ! We order pizzas and zucchini, you have to try zucchini this is so good. We come from Belgium and we had a lovely and very interesting chat with Irza (sorry I'm sure I'm spelling your name wrong 🥲) Thank you for sharing and caring all the evening, we had a wonderful time. We saw this restaurant had opened where the old Herons was, so thought we’d try this new Italian. Excellent addition to the local eateries; lovely food across the board. The pastas were especially delectable and the pizzas very good too. Will be returning soon!

We had the mix shish platter for two and there was lots of food! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious, the salad was fresh and the meat cooked beautifully. The baklava is the best I have ever had, they cook it fresh every day and it shows. They also had decaf coffee! Staff were friendly, fun and genuine. This is now on my favourites list. Highly recommend.

I had initially ordered online (restaurant website) and the payment went through and showed as pending. The order had gone through (email confirmation of payment) but it didn't to the restaurant when I arrived for pickup, but it couldn't have been handled in a better way. I paid again but was assured if the initial payment went through fully, I could pop in and get a refund so I wasn't out of pocket for a technical issue. Which is what I then did with no fuss! Aside from this, the food itself is incredible and a regular takeaway of ours.

Absolutely, here's the review in English: Dolce Cafe: Pleasant Atmosphere with Some Culinary Shortcomings I recently visited Dolce Cafe and must admit that the atmosphere and decor of the place made a positive impression. The overall vibe is pleasant and inviting. The efficient and friendly service is also a plus, as was the quickly served flat white coffee, which was quite good. Unfortunately, the main dish, Eggs Benedict, left something to be desired. The eggs were edible, but I personally prefer a runnier yolk. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the ham, which was rather poor. The portion size was also not particularly generous. In conclusion, Dolce Cafe is a place with a pleasant atmosphere and good coffee, but the kitchen could improve the quality of ingredients and portion sizes. Nevertheless, the kind and professional service means that a return visit could be considered, perhaps to try other items on the menu.

First time visiting here and really enjoyed the food. The service was great, and the staff were friendly. Street parking is available, with the first hour free and a maximum parking time of four hours. However, the service here is fast, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal.

Came here for dinner on way home from London. The food was absolutely stunning. I had the wild mushroom risotto and my husband had the lamb shank. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely plan to come back when we’re next up this way.

The Sunday Roasts overall are really good. The gravy is very flavourful and fun to eat. All the meat are pretty well done and well seasoned. The only thing that they could of done better is Yorkshire puddings. I find the Yorkshire puddings a bit burnt. Banoffee waffle: 10/10. Nothing to complain really. The cafe is a bit small but well decorated.

Visited The Feathers for the first time a couple of days ago. I've been hearing amazing things about this place from friends and family members for years but had not managed to visit. It is an absolutely stunning historic pub in the centre of Rickmansworth. There is a lovely beer garden to the rear which was perfect for soaking up the sun. We came in for a few drinks and a snack. I ate the Chicken Liver and Cognac Pate (£7.90) which was absolutely delicious and perfect with a cold drink on a Summer's day. I hope to be back to visit again very soon!

Amazing experience! We were overwhelmed by the care and attention we received from the staff. Victoria and her team made us feel very welcomed. Matilda and Sophie were very helpful and accommodating. Everyone was exceptional but Dan, our server, went the extra mile to ensure we were well looked after and he made it look gracious and effortless. Will definitely return and recommend this lovely establishment with an even more lovely team.

Amazing pub! The staff are absolutely lovely and really friendly and helpful. The food and portions are also great and the pub is really nice, the outside seating area is really cute and nicely decorated. The desserts are really nice and the presentation of everything is lovely. I'm not usually a fan of brownies, but I thought I'd give the sundae brownie a try, and it was possibly the best brownie I've ever had! The cauliflower bites are really tasty, too, and I'd recommend getting them as a starter. We didn't get a chance to try the roast but would definitely return again as it sounded lovely!

Its taken a long time but Covid saw to that. Finally visited after being tempted by landlord when stopping outside in mid-2020 after first lockdown was eased. Very much worth the ride out there as this pub has a lovely garden, great beers and cider as well as a lively atmosphere. Will have to return to sample food, which I believe is traditional snacks not the usual and often bland gastropub fare.

I have dined at The Gate in Chorleywood somewhat infrequently over a 20 year period, but I must say it never disappoints. Last Sunday’s spur of the moment early evening Sunday dinner was simply heaven and the service from the young waiting staff was really fun and attentive. I don’t often post reviews but I felt it worthy of praise. If you’re a meat lover, I highly recommend the “Trio” Sunday lunch, definitely up there as one of the best I’ve ever had!

I would like to commend the professionalism and helpfulness of the General Manager David Stowell. I received a parking fine from euro car parks for innocently parking in the car park on my first visit and not being aware of the need to register my car inside. When David was made aware of this, he was onto it in an instant, communicated with me directly and has begun the process of having the fine cancelled. Much appreciated. We enjoyed the roast chicken and the salad dishes which were both tasty and well priced. Eventually a positive experience but do be aware of the need to register your car when parking!

Great food and friendly service! The Gate has a nice atmosphere and really lovely staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the seabass and everything was fresh and well-prepared. Would definitely come back. Our waitress Chloe was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. Her service really made our dining experience special!

From the atmosphere, to the service and staff everything was nothing short of amazing. All the food was absolutelly amazing but the Korean fried chicken burger was the star of the show. The burger was an explosion of flavors and textures. The crispy chicken was coated in a sweet and spicy sauce topped with crunchy slaw and creamy mayo, it was one of the best burgers I had in years. Compliments to everyone. I will definitely be back.

Nice traditional English pub. Smoked brisket is delicious. Steak pie is good. Bangers and mash were average. The sausages didn't impress, especially compared to the brisket.

What a fabulous find, super staff, great sun-drenched garden. Delicious soft shell crab, fritto misto and loaded nachos. Sipping on Shining Stag and Provence rose - no better place to be!
