Our daughter was struggling with maths at school. so we decided to find out anout kumon. Diane whi runs Kumon in Skipton came to our house to meet our daughter and made an assessment. She attended Kumon for a 2 week trial and we decided to take her to kumon regularly. She has been going twice a week and completing work sheets at home everyday supplied by Kumon for approx.5 months and the improvement in her confidence her concentration and massive improvement in her maths is fantastic. Diane and all her team are simply the best.

We were recommended Diane and Kumon following our son's bumpy start to Year 6. He wasn't finding the transition easy and was behind his peers in both academic ability and maturity.

Fast forward 4 months and the change (in his teachers words) has been incredible. I thoroughly believe the improvement in school is entirely down to Kumon. I firmly believe the skills he is learning now, he will take with him to secondary school and beyond.

My daughter has been doing Kumon for over 2 years and it’s really helped her. She’s developed her basic maths and English skills which has built a really stable foundation for her with all of her school work. She’s able to do quick maths mentally really well, understands how to calculate fraction problems, long division and much more. As well as worked on spelling, comprehension, punctuation and grammar.
She really enjoys working with Diane who approaches teaching in a kind and gentle manner which means she never complains about going to class twice a week or daily learning.
I believe Kumon has actually helped my daughter to attain a high level where she’s working above her class level to pass her recent 11 plus exam for the school we want her to go to which is an amazing achievement.

we started kumon just over a year ago, and wow what an experience it has been my son was in a lower year two class he was struggling to read and write. We started of english kumon to begin with and a whole later when in year three he has now been moved into class with all the children his age as is working at the same level. Kumon has helped not only with his reading and writing but his confidence and behaviour has improved so much cant recommend kumon enough. We started doing maths a few months ago aswell as english and i'm seeing massive changes already. If your child is struggling kumon really works the repetitiveness of the work is what really works. His tutor Diane is a god send. Wish i'd started it earlier!!
