Friendly club with a good course. Only downside is the walkers crossing the fairways.

I just love this place. The team is incredible. They are kind, great at what they do and uber professional. I joined the Academy a few months ago and am enjoying every moment of the experience. The only downside is that we have to share the course with the public but the positives well make up for the negatives!

Great course. Not as easy as the course rating states with some very tricky holes to navigate. It's not one for the driver but will test skilled irons and wedges. Well worth thr green fee and would recommend and return.

Such a fun time. Unique course worth playing for a good time. Shared with walkers, dogs and horses so need to give yourself 4-5 hrs for 18. Bring snacks and drinks for the course. Great greens, hooked balls are lost forever, played a scramble. Glad we came! No motor carts. Club and pull along carts available. Try their red top beer!

Amazing value at just £20. Greens are some of the best I’ve played on in the area. Certainly the best I’ve played on at a public course!! It’s a classic golf course that will penalise bad shots. Members are among the friendliest I’ve come across.

Rating: 4.5 (245) Price Level:

Great course, not too long and not too narrow, but still a decent challenge, especially if you don't get your drive away or if you don't know your yardages with your irons. Greens in decent shape given that we played towards the end of October after a week of rain. Good little hut serving bacon/sausage baps and hot/cold drinks. Great views of the ever growing London skyline from the holes at the highest point of the course (and the club house). Also saw a giant mushroom! 😀

A golf course with a tale of two halves - The first half is a short but tight track with no real stand out holes apart from maybe the 2nd which has a tight and blind tee shot. From home 9 onwards the track really comes into it's own. The fairways and greens were in great condition with only a few dry patches around some areas. I played during a twighlight time and the course was relatively quiet. Would play again.

Visited as a guest at a wedding reception. What a fantastic venue! Great facilities, attentive staff and situated in an idyllic setting with great views over Epping Forest. Highly recommended.

Really lovely course, well kept. Would of given 5 stars if bunkers were proper sand. Most are dirt. Very challenging course, narrow fairways. Greens are perfect. They spray them to make them look extra green. Very hilly course so you have to be fit if walking! Buggies available. Good choice of food extensive menu. Staff all round are friendly and helpful. Definitely be playing here again.

Friendly, not busy and cheap membership by London standards. Although it's a 9 hole, it's a proper golf course with many holes needing a driver and mid to long iron to reach the green. Beyond that, it's quite nice that it's a nine hole, you can get round in an hour and a half and still have time for the rest of your life. The greenkeepers do a great job of keeping standards up on a relatively shoestring budget.

One of the best parkland courses in Essex I have played. Wish I had booked a tee time there years ago and not put it off this long. Conditions were not far off perfect and was joined on the back nine by an employee (Clyde) which would have given this 6 stars if possible. Will be back soon.

Nice club in very posh surroundings especially the great number of homes that back onto the course which means many a stray shot can be found in someone's garden! The course is will kept and has a fair variety of holes many of which require good tee shots to prevent being blocked out. Recommended. Only issue was the temporary green for which no yardage was given.

Friendly welcome as a visitor. Worth getting there early as the breakfast items are excellent. Course in good conditions all round, on the day we played I felt some mowing was overdue but the excellent greens rolled very true, got out of all bunkers first time so either them or me are very good. Sadly no towels on the Monday we played. Clubhouse modern, light and airy. Halfway houses super ( lovely Jess served us brilliantly). Recommend a visit.

A golf course with a royal status. Wasn't the longest or the most challenging course that I played so far, but it very well maintained. Has a classic club house that server fantastic food. Probably give higher recommend to the restaurant than the course.😅 It's a been there done that course, as it's not easily accessible. (Private course)

It's nice to treat yourself to the elegant and stately surroundings for Sunday Lunch. I did feel, however, that it wasn't as good the first time round. The actual roast beef lunch seemed if was of the pre prepared variety that most pub restaurants do. The beef was passable but may have been not freshly carved. The accompanying vegetables were nothing of note. I hope I'm wrong as it's a good venue to eat, albeit a tad on the pricey side, but that's to be expected.

Very interesting and challenging course. A stone’s throw from Eltham Palace. Pro shop manager was very friendly and accommodating. Clubhouse was beautiful, and had a fascinating history. I even got a private tour by the facilities director, which included an incredible golf memorabilia museum! I ate in the bar area and enjoyed delicious food and friendly service. Pick up the book on the history of the club, one of the oldest in England.

I was travelling for a month in London, and visited this golf course. I can say that I had a super professional coach who guided me well and showed to all my mistakes. I took two lessons only due to the short time in the UK. But I’d highly recommend Ben Lawson if you are looking for the new professional coach.

Come here for the breakfast. Always spot on. I always go for the jnr or snr in a pan breakfast. Love the location to. New owners but it’s the same chef so still good quality food. I did ask him to butterfly my sausage however as I like it cooked properly through which was either ignored or not noted lol @whatwehavingnow - on instagram for our full review & more vids/pics. Had a really nice time with the family, took just over an hour to complete the course, it provided some light-hearted competition, lots of laughs and a couple of arguments too! Everything you expect from a family outing. My 8 year old said it was like going abroad on holiday with all the palm trees 🌴 luckily for us it was a sunny afternoon 😎 only downside was it is a bit expensive at £40 for 2 adults and 2 children 😀

Driving range well priced compared to some other local ranges. Played there several times and it’s a good place to test your skills.
