I attended a holly wreath making evening tonight at Meadow Grange as a present from my daughter and I could not fault it. It was run by Peter and Wayne who were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a drink of our choice at the beginning of the night and there were plenty of picks available for all tastes to put on the wreaths.It was my first time attending and I will definitely be booking for next year. The evening was topped off by lovely mince pies and chocolate orange cake!

We visited today and after a little wonder around the garden centre, headed to the cafe. From the reception at the door, to the customer service at the tills.. we couldn’t fault a thing. Our food came in a reasonable time and was lovely, Amelia & Maisie at the counter were brilliant with my children whilst they picked their cakes and followed them right back to the table with them. We’ll definitely return soon!

An excellent way to spend a happy morning/ afternoon with a wide range of garden related products plus the healthy plants which are arranged systematically. The cafe restaurant serves good food and looks onto a sunny terrace. The staff are knowledgeable and want to do their best for you. Even when I had a problem with a purchased plant, the site manager Paul was happy to discuss and exchange.

Forklift driver Luke thanks for unloading me quickly well stocked garden centre helpful staff went and had a coffee and bread pudding and in my opinion not enough mixed spice not mixed properly as you can still see the white bread and because there wasn’t enough spice it was very light inside not enough moisture apart from thank you enjoyed walking around

Breathtaking scenery. Lots of colourful flowers and it’s clean as well. Near the bridge, there is a company which offers boat tours(I forgot the term) and is a max of 6 people only if I’m not mistaken but if there are a lot of you in one group they will guide you to another boat tour.

However, the day I went was winter so not as beautiful as in summer.

Would definitely use again -friendly and did a brilliant job for us.

Like no other nursery you been to “ the best”! A must to visit if you want quality plants. A landscapers heaven.

Excellent. Lots of nice stock here - The usual things as well as a number of unusual items. Very tidy and laid out well. Very helpful and friendly staff that went out of their way to help me with a bulk purchase.

I recently ordered a shed/ log cabin, they had trouble with the delivery company but managed to solve the issue and kept me updated throughout. Also the shed is good quality and looks great. Highly recommended.

We were really impressed by this place! Great choice of plants, really nice cafe, and our little one loved seeing the animals. Will definitely be visiting again.

Visited the newly refurbished Garden Centre recently and was very impressed. Beautifully laid out with a variety of merchandise as well as plants. I stopped at the new Origins cafe with friends and they had a good selection of food, cakes and pastries. I was very impressed with the friendly staff who work in the cafe. It is very clean, hygienic and tidy. Have subsequently returned there on a further two occasions as the food was so good. Definitely worth a visit after browsing around. The cafe also has a dog friendly area on the outside which is a bonus. Would definitely recommend both garden centre and cafe.

I was very disappointed that they no longer stock the beautiful leather Kent and Stowe gloves that I was hoping to buy. I tried other similar gloves while I was in the shop, but they were not as good. I am a retired professional gardener, and have been very impressed by the Kent and Stowe gloves. Never mind. I shall shop elsewhere in future.

Great place, all staff are helpful and friendly. The selection of plants are amazing, really tidy and displayed in sections really well. The home interior bits are amazing, I could spend a fortune in their... So many things I want to purchase!! I haven't looked at the clothes, but they look nice enough, from passing through to the canteen, which again, all staff are really welcoming, it's clean and tidy and the layout is great too, along with good quality tables and chairs. The menu is fantastic, we only had a coffee on this visit, which was good, but we said we'd definately eat there next time, the choice is incredible for a garden centre, from mains, sandwiches, cakes, salads and small bits. It all looked really nice to, from what I could see. The christmas stuff (just going out) interior plants, kids section, kitchen stuff, smellies for the house, I brought some incense sticks...So much stuff to look at, again, all displayed really well and so clean and tidy. Some things are expensive and some bits reasonable, like most of these places, but they do have some lovely and unusual interior bits.

Really beautiful and tranquil. We hadn't planned to go here, but were looking for a time filler, wandered into the hospital and were "upsold" a joint ticket. It really was the nicest part of our day. So peaceful, it was impossible to believe there was a bustling city right outside.

Went for a fabulous bat talk in the Franscican Gardens and with Westgate Punts. We were treated to an amazing display of swooping bats in the beautiful gardens and along the river where we learnt about the incredible history of the Franscican Monks who arrived in the 13th Century and treated residents and pilgrims with herbal remedies. Thanks to Shirley who taught us about the bats and how important it is to encourage insects into our gardens and communal spaces to ensure plenty of food for the bats. Shirley's no. 1 fact was that some bat's have been known to live past 40 years old! This was part of the Great Stour Riverfest which is a great celebration of the river going through Canterbury.

You have to pay to enter here now but for most of my lifetime you never had to. This is a nice little park to visit to get away from the busy city centre. Almost magical because you never had to worry about getting mugged or chewed on by stray dogs. For some reason they could never find it. You can visit the chapel for free if you go for the Eucharist service on a certain day of the week.
