We highly recommend Creative Landscapes and Gardens. We had a makeover for the rear garden including new seating areas, and a refresh of the front door step and a new driveway. David produced the initial sketch plans before we placed the order and then Simon produced the detailed plans before the work started. Tom and Matthew did the majority of the work with cover and help from Chris and others when needed. Their attention to detail, work ethic and pride in their work was fantastic and we are very pleased with the results. They consulted on minor details and any changes as the work went along, and were keen to ensure that we were happy with the results. We even had one neighbour comment how polite our workmen were! They have also been happy to follow up for any minor defects as the lawn settled in. We would certainly use them again in the future.

We recently had our old (very old) concrete patio replaced with Indian sandstone. Our experience with Creative Gardens and Driveways exceeded expectations. From our initial discussions with David, through to the completion of the work by Nick, Will and Chris, we were impressed by the professionalism and consideration shown by all members of the team. A huge amount of work and material went into the job: the result is just beautiful. After several weeks we still can’t believe the transformation to our garden. Small details, like sleepers and gravel beds and new drain covers just finished it off nicely. Even delivery of about a tonne of topsoil to fill in a ‘dip’ in the lawn didn’t phase any of us! From our first meeting with David and Simon through to the completion of our new Millboard garden deck the design and installation services received from the Creative Gardens team was excellent and thoroughly professional. Their workmanship and attention to detail whilst preparing the ground and installing the decking, together with the care taken to mimimise disruption and protect the garden, were admirable, particularly as the weather wasn’t the kindest throughout the build period. Communication was good from start to finish. We are delighted with the outcome and certainly won’t miss the maintenance regime of our old decking!

Creative Gardens undertook a full garden re-design for us, front and back, and I can highly recommend them. Upfront they provided a full design service and we worked closely with their in-house designer, Matt, to put the plan together. He visited several times and listened carefully to what we were looking for in a garden before bringing it to life in a CAD design. We refined this with him to get the design we wanted and we always felt part of the process. Ultimately he pulled off the difficult trick of designing something modern and stylish that balanced the needs of the whole family…. Kids, a gardener, relaxation etc. The design also included blending a wide range of existing plants with a range of newly selected ones by the designer. The build phase came next and was a relatively stress-free experience. The team of 3 landscapers were talented, friendly and responsive to our feedback throughout the 6 week build. The work undertaken included full clearance back to a completely blank slate (inc tree removal), landscaping, shed building, lawn laying and planting. Due to their organisation, hard work - and a bit of luck with the weather - they actually finished the project ahead of schedule, rare with any building project! We’ve been over the moon with the results, which has brought the area around our house back to life and creates new spaces for the whole family. These projects are never cheap, but the result has more than justified the spend. It inevitably feels like a risk when you engage a company to do a major build of this sort, but I have to say that David and his team took any such concerns out of the equation - they were friendly, organised, professional, responsive and fair if anything didn’t quite go to plan. You can’t really ask for anything more when it comes to a build project. Highly recommended.

Exceptional workmanship in designing landscaping and maintaining my back garden. Highly recommended

Ashgrove Gardens has just completed a large project at our home, including a new driveway, patio and pergola, as well as numerous other jobs, and we are completely delighted with the results. Colin (the owner) is a consummate professional with a very impressive range of landscaping/design talent and skill. He is an extremely hard worker and is meticulous while going about his work - no tools left strewn about or piles of rubbish to trip over and always making sure everything is tidy, safe and secure before leaving at the end of the day. Colin is also a genuinely lovely guy - it’s been an absolute pleasure having him work at our home and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. Thanks Colin, for all your patience and hard work - looking forward to you coming back later in the year to get started on the next phase!

Sam and his team were first class with the entire project. Managing the just in time deliveries to ensure the house wasn’t overflowing with materials were just one of many thoughtful processes he had in place. Attention to detail and understanding our requirements was never a problem for his team . Throughout the project, his team were polite and very clean, always cleaning up at the end of day and keeping us informed. Sam’s whole ethos is about customer service and putting right any minor issues immediately they were pointed out. They also worked in and were prepared for all weathers. In summary I would highly recommend Sam and High Peak Landscaping for any outdoor project that you may be considering.

Sam was good to deal with from start to finish. He was easy to get hold of and there was good communication throughout. He was flexible with our start date and he and Rob worked very quickly to transform our garden. Even our neighbours commented on how neat and tidy he was with waste management and material storage at the front of the property.

Really pleased with the work Mark did. The back garden was looking a bit neglected and the hedge was out of control. Turned up on time and totally cleared all the weeds, cut the hedge and tidied the lawn. Left it tidy as well. Very reliable person. The hedge is wonky because I trimmed it badly btw. Gradually regrowing out it's humps.

Marc has been doing my garden now for a few years. Very knowledgeable, punctual, friendly and reliable. Also has good ideas for improving its look. He always leaves my property clean and tidy, would definitely recommend Marc he does a superb job.

We asked High Peak Landscapes to relay and extend our patio. Lawrence and Jordan did an excellent job with good attention to detail and good craftmanship. They were a pleasure to have working on site. We have no hesitation on recommending them or using them for further work.

A big thank you to High Peak Landscapes for transforming our garden steps. They were great from start to finish. Lawrence and Jordan are super friendly, great at explaining things, hard working, they kept within budget, work was meticulous and they tidied up afterwards. Adam and his team have just completed a garden transformation for us, it involved new Indian stone patio edged with cobble stones, a decked area at the end of the garden with bespoke built pergola, decking lighting, path lights and spotlight for Acer tree. The decking area is reached by stepping stones, and an area edged with raised sleeper beds, with decorative granite gravel and a big feature acer tree. The whole garden is now an extension to our house and somewhere we love to spend time in, we are so happy with how it has turned out. Adam and his team work very hard and to a high standard, the garden design evolved as it went along and the end effect is stunning, i would highly recommend Urban Roots Gardens.
