I got Jordan in to clear a large raised bed that was absolutely full of invasive weeds and brambles. He turned up early and spent the day solidly working and by the end the area looked amazing. All the weeds were gone and the soil ready for planting. He also gave me some great advice for what to plant there to keep the weeds at bay. He was really knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. I’ll definitely be getting him back to help me on the rest of the garden!

Jordan and his team did an absolutely fantastic job landscaping our garden! The garden was completely overgrown and needed a lot of work. They stripped the whole thing back and then landscaped using lawn, stone, bark and some flower beds. We are very pleased with the results and will be using JDK garden services to maintain our garden going forward. Would definitely recommend!

Jordan did a fantastic job completely transforming my front garden and tidying up the back garden. It was great to discuss options and possibilities with him. He is knowledgeable and understood what I wanted as a client as well as thinking creatively about the space. Allan laid a base for a new greenhouse for us. The work has been done to an extremely high standard, it looks very smart indeed and the greenhouse fitters were very impressed with it. We are delighted with it, and how it looks now the greenhouse has been built on it. Allan was always on time, arrived when he said he would start the job, and was meticulous in the standard of the work, leaving the site tidy and finishing when he said he would, even though the work was done in December and the weather wasn’t great. Honest, reliable and efficient from start to finish!! Allan and Dave rewilded my garden, they put in a wildlife pond something I’d wanted for a while, it attracts so much wildlife! The trees and wildflowers they planted are growing well and I can’t wait to enjoy the garden in summer! Allan is very nature conscious, I’m so glad I was able to find the right landscape gardener for the job! Thank you again x

Fantastic job from start to finish. Professional, excellent quality workmanship and end product. Alan battled the awful weather admirably and worked so hard throughout the project. The materials he supplied are top quality and his attention to detail and excellent skills have created a stunning garden landscape. His quotes and final invoice were identical and his valuable regular updates helped us to understand progress, next steps and any details were checked and confirmed. Alistair and Sebastian got my mum’s garden maintenance ready and have been looking after it since summer, she’s delighted. I asked Alistair if he’d help me remove astroturf and plant trees in my new house. He was upfront with costs and I think he is very competitive. Not only did he complete the job, but his ideas and advice were greatly appreciated. He told me the names of most of my plants even though little to go off. Loved bouncing ideas backwards and forwards. I’ve now got a clear idea what is achievable over the next few months. Alistair I thank you very very much.

Impressed at the level of knowledge and expertise these guys have. And truly appreciate the quality of work done to bring our garden into order, and advise given for follow up, after a combination of weather and busy schedules left it unattended all year. Hedge shaped and even, lawn triple-cut, and beds weeded without removing cultivated plants. Before and after shots provided. Worth every penny and confident to use them regularly in future.

Brilliant. Don’t look any further. We found Alistair early last year and we cannot thank him enough for his hard work and, more importantly, his advice. The work we initially required was just to take on some of the difficult manual labour required to stay on top of our medium/large garden. We didn’t think it would be anything more than a one time deal. However, after seeing the benefits, we changed our minds. We’ve had Salford Gardening come to help now five or six times over the past 18 months, doing everything from weeding and general upkeep through to mulching and cutting back tree branches where necessary. Alistair’s worked in all weathers - mild May sunshine, extreme heat in 2022 summer, cold rain in October, frost again in late winter/early spring and never once has he complained about the conditions. My only reluctancy in writing a review like this is you’ll be more organised and take his time before I can book in again in the future 😂 Alister’s always offered great advice and gone above and beyond to share tips. The garden looks better for having Alistair come round and I look forward to seeing how he is able to help us improve upon what we are lucky to have in our garden.

Alan has been tending to my garden for a couple of years now. He’s very pleasant to work with, has done odd garden jobs as needed as well as mowing and trimming. He always lets me know when he’s planning to come and has been flexible with dates if, for example, I have planned to meet friends in the garden, or the green bin is full. He always leaves the garden tidy.

We have been using Firswood Gardens for the last two years to maintain communal gardens and lawns in a gated development. We approached Justin after being disappointed by the quality of work of previous contractors. Wow! What a difference it has made to us. I cannot recommend Firswood Gardens highly enough. Justin clearly takes great pride in his work and the gardens are now maintained to a high standard. It's not just mowing and hedge trimming, he really understands and is very knowledgeable about plants too. He has great attention to detail and is extremely reliable, very friendly and approachable.

We asked Phil to come to help us to tidy up the garden in our new house ready for autumn. When we first contacted, he came with short notice to take a look at the garden and advise us on what to do and had some useful advice about some of the weeds that we had, as well as general lawn care advice - and not long after came to sort the place out! Can’t fault his work, he cut back some very overgrown hedges and shrubs and cleared all of the cuttings and debris from our garden quickly and efficiently. To top it off he is extremely friendly and a pleasure to have in our garden - if you’re thinking about asking someone to help to sort your garden out don’t hesitate to contact him! We would absolutely recommend him and will definitely be in contact again when we need anything else doing.

Brendan has been restoring my garden for several weeks now and has made a great job of clearing overgrown beds, weeding and lawncare. In addition, he has repotted plants and organised the selection, purchase and planting of new plants and small ornamental trees to enhance the garden. He has a very good knowledge of plants and their attributes which is very helpful in choosing and caring for existing and new plants. Brendan is extremely reliable, friendly, courteous and hardworking. He always checks his booked appointments the day before. He charges very reasonable and competitive hourly rates and I have no hesitation in highly recommending him.

Unable to do my own garden due to a painful arthritic hip I was devasted to see all my previous years hard work being ruined.
