Chet turned our old airing cupboard into a neat & useful space. As usual, he is meticulous, regularly consulting with me as he progressed. He even changed the opening door design mid-way through which was such a relief. Delighted with his work. Highly recommend to everyone wanting some bespoke carpentry. Thanks again Chet.

Chet re-fitted two doors for us that had not fitted for some time. He arrived on time and completed the job with the minimum of fuss, he was also very tidy and managed not to leave any wood chippings behind. We would use him again.

Chet rehung my lounge door which kept coming away from the frame. He was efficient and prompt in coming out and provided good advice on the cause and how to manage any issues in the future. I would highly recommend this polite and knowledgable craftsmen.

Chet has done a great job for me. I needed cupboard shelving to be removed and rebuilt to enable some damp treatment. I was really impressed by his reliability- he came exactly when he promised to and kept me fully up to date with his communications. I am happy to recommend him.

Oz built some custom shelves for us for the living room. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. Oz is transparent and fair with how he prices, and sticks to his schedule. We will use Oz again, as we need a custom shelving unit for our upstairs office.

Oz has done several jobs for us including a new garden gate, putting up a picture rail and fixing some doors that were sticking or the handles didn't work. His work is always solid and high quality, would highly recommend.

Absolutely love my new kitchen! Steve, Jack, Jase, Jack and Mike were really lovely, friendly and really quick, made it look so simple. A few hiccups along the way however were resolved very quickly, but things never do run smoothly. The attention to detail was fab. Highly recommend them and will use them again as and when required.

Caine and his team have recently completed a renovation to our house, removing a suspended ceiling, rerouted pipe work, overhauled electrics, installed a new ceiling and plastered to an extremely high standard. The level of workmanship was outstanding, each day site was left clean and tidy, all tools neatly stacked safely. Given the work we had done, mess was minimal. It's not easy to find a builder who is as trustworthy, polite and reliable as Caine and his team. Any obstacles that Caine came across during the renovation were tackled with great solutions and ideas. To coin his phrase... Solutions not problems! Even after the renovation has been completed, we keep in touch. We would highly recommend his services and we will certainly be using Caine and his team again for any future work! I cannot recommend Caine highly enough. He is the politest, hardest working, and tidiest builder I have ever met. We always knew that the renovation work we were undertaking was going to throw up some surprises, but Caine was able to deal with them all. Since we didn't know the full extent of the problems before he started, he was very helpful in giving a range of prices, depending on what might need doing (although reality was far worse than any of us expected). He fully consulted with us each time we found a new problem, and kept us informed on what was happening. I hope to get Caine back to do the next phase of work on my property, sometime next year.

Caine and his team did a great job renovating our house - fitting doors, new fitted wardrobes, fitting a new oven etc. They turned up on time, tidied up after themselves and were extremely polite and professional. Their prices are also very reasonable. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

Caine was brilliant! We have an old house and much of the woodwork needed fixing. Caine has replaced both functional and decorative pieces with enormous skill (he rebuilt the decorative apex in the photo completely). He has high standards and won't rest until it's right. Definitely recommend.

Scott has played a very important role in our home renovation project! We've done everything from changing the windows to outside cladding, indoor carpentry and plastering etc. Absolutely impeccable craftsmanship from Scott, cannot fault a single thing he's touched! We get so many compliments on our house from passer-bys these days and it is hugely thanks to him! Scott is an honest tradesman who takes time to understand what needs to be done, but he's also got a wealth of experience and is happy to suggest ways things should be done, too. Scott also helped to recommended other tradesmen for the work that he can't do himself. Let me tell you, every person that he recommended has done well! So as long as we live in Sutton Coldfield, we'll be going back to Scott if anything else needs doing. PS: To the person who's left one star review. Sorry you missed on having Scott doing some work on your house! He really is very busy and when your quote slipped through, he was very busy with all that work that was being done on our house. This, however, shouldn't warrant a one star review, as it isn't a reflection of Scott's actual craftsmanship, which what these reviews should be about! Thanks!

We used Scott from 1st Choice Carpentry & Building to install our new kitchen. He did a fantastic job for us - installed to a really high standard, with minimal disruption. Scott is polite and friendly, and a tidy worker. He kept us informed about everything during the process. Neat, tidy and very good attention to detail and great quality. I have been using this company for years for many carpentry jobs including new doors and associated ironmongery etc. Structural floors and finishing works. 🥇 Only small draw back is that they don't do all the building work i need , like plumbing. 😄

Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! He listened to exactly what I wanted, was incredibly reliable and communicated well. He even worked late until the job was done! Wonderful service! I would definitely recommend him and his company.
