Stephan built a customised cupboard to accommodate my mega flow and washing machine / dryer, as well as installing fire doors and creating a cupboard in the corridor for storage. He was diligent and fastidious in undertaking the work and also assisted in ensuring all the relevant materials were on site. He did a fantastic job and I would definitely use him again.

They fitted nine doors, all the architraves and skirting through out. There is also a new glass staircase fitted, which is just stunning. Their finish is absolutely amazing, and they also offer aftercare for any faults spotted. He helped with ordering all the materials. His price is very reasonable, and his service is very good, very professional, and trustworthy. They are good at cleaning up after themselves, too. Such a professional service. I found this company on Google when looking for carpenters in my local area. I had a bannister fitted and I could not be happier with the final look. Stepan was great at communicating and getting back to me, first to come and look at what work would need to be done and then to actually book a date in. He is so talented and really took his time to ensure every piece was correctly fitted. So happy with our new bannister!

Excellent - would highly recommend! Stepan is a rare find - an honest, reasonable, hardworking, professional, experienced and knowledgeable nice guy with high standards, who owns/corrects any mistakes without any fuss. We are exceptionally grateful for the works undertaken by Paul at our property. Paul is definitely a quality craftsman with an eye for detail. Paul built a frame and erected new sliding doors for our recently installed ensuitean and installed new spindles, handrails and caps on our staircase. It was the little features like returns which was so impressive! Nothing appeared too much trouble for Paul with his aim to fully satisfy the customer. We have already commissioned Paul to undertake further works at our property. Paul more than justifies his 5* rating.

Probably the most organised person I’ve met, knows exactly what’s happening and when. A delight to work with and did a massive kitchen transition first for us 2 years ago (this is a photo of the kitchen 2 years on) and then installed recently a beautiful fitted wardrobe. We love the result. Has a great team to help with the other bits too (particularly Alan and Mark). For the kitchen we were swapping our kitchen and dining rooms over. Had a lot of ‘old house’ hiccups along the way which he handled brilliantly. Highly, highly recommend.

The following review is quite long and detailed, but it's worth a read since this time last year I had never met or heard of Paul and between then and now he completed a large project for me across the second half of 2024 and I could not be happier with his work! I bought a detached 3-bed house in May 2024 that was a real "fixer-upper", built in the 1980s. The plan was to start work ASAP, take 6 months or so to renovate the property and move in with my family by Christmas. There were many challenges along the way, but ultimately this happened on budget and on time and we were able to host our first Christmas in our new family home! This was achieved due to Paul's technical skills, project management ability, his incredible work ethic (absolute grafter), his punctuality and reliability, his loyalty (detailed below) and ultimately his sheer motivation to deliver quality and value to his customer. Paul quoted for the job which involved the following: * Fully gutting and renovating a 3 bed detached house (removing walls, replacing all floorboards etc) * A complex double garage conversion into living space, a utility room and bathroom * Fitting a new kitchen * another new bathroom and plenty more. Paul came highly recommended to me by my Electrician who also worked on the project. He is multi-skilled and can take on pretty much any task, but he is also an excellent project manager and delegator to skilled tradesmen. Throughout the project, Paul brought on board his trusted labourers as and when required, as well as a plumber, tiler, plasterer and some niche contractors too, all of whom I met and could see had a high level of skill and a solid work ethic. Paul also worked effectively with a kitchen design consultancy that I had brought on board due to the awkward shape and specific requirements. As with any project, there were plenty of challenges - some that were outside of our control and one or two due to frustrating attitudes from people I had brought on board who failed to live up to expectations (I will not name and shame, but I will not use again or recommend them). Paul stuck with me through a period of frustrating delays due to others and persevered through this challenging period of the project where others would simply have looked out for themselves and up and left. I was kept in the loop daily and we met on site once or twice most week when I could get there. I recommend Paul with zero hesitation for any large project or small job and I will certainly be using his services again!

Our bathroom installers uncovered a joist in our shower room which had almost rotted through thus delaying the renovation of the room. We contacted Mark who speedily came round to assess the damage and returned quickly to do an amazing job. He was punctual, extremely hardworking and speedily rectified the problem. His work was exemplary and he is conscientious and tidy. Also, we were very grateful to Tony (Mark’s dad) for his expertise in some plumbing works that needed dealing with at the same time. We have no hesitation in recommending both Mark and Tony.

We hired generation carpentry to extend and renovate our kitchen and bathroom. The work was of excellent quality and they were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend to others thinking about a similar project, I am very pleased with the end result.

We used Generation Carpentry for our living room renovation. Mark and his team carried out a number of jobs, including re-plastering and painting the walls, installing new skirting boards, fixing a creaky staircase, fixing and repainting our front door and installing new cupboards and shelving units with LED lights on either side of our fireplace. Mark was incredibly easy to work with and we found his services to be competitively priced. He communicated with us every step of the way and was able to bring in other professionals as and when the job required. Mark takes pride in the work that he does and that is evident in the end result. We could not be more happy with our living room, which looks brand new, despite our home being over 100 years old! Mark has totally transformed our house by changing 10 doors and doorframes, all skirting and architraves as well as fitting a brand-new kitchen. All work was carried out meticulously with amazing attention to detail and fine carpentry skills. As we required a total renovation, Mark was able to give us advice and guidance regarding how to approach our project step by step from Day 1. It could be said that he was the backbone of our project with other trades (whom he has connections with) fitted in to the calendar as we moved along. As well as giving accurate time frames, he also worked very tediously and left the rooms clean as he moved throughout the house.

Tony designed and fitted our kitchen, and we are so pleased with the results. The quality, fit and finish are amazing, and we were able to have a custom made kitchen that works for us. The whole team were great, and choosing someone local made the whole process so much easier. Would definitely recommend, and already looking at the next project for Tony!

When we set about building our retirement home some years ago we were rigorous in researching the reputation of those who would do the work. As we'd decided not to employ a builder but to supervise the construction ourselves, we were very much in the hands of individual contractors, so their skills and trustworthiness were fundamental. The house, set in the heart of a lovely country estate, was the apogee of a lifelong dream for me and my husband -- to make an English home that was classical but not a pastiche. Of all the design elements, we realised, one of the most critical in determining real quality would be the woodwork. George at class carpentry is the best joiner I have worked with - I’m an interior designer and I have bought in many trades people - George is tried and tested. Fabulous craftsmanship, wonderful attention to detail, thorough (whilst also ‘just gets on with it’) without any need to supervise or advise. You give him a job and he’ll do it beautifully, seamlessly and a stress free experience, a beautiful finish and a lovely guy to deal with throughout too!

George completed a huge build across a 10m span blank wall. He built bespoke cupboards, shelving, false fireplace (over 5 M high); installed lighting and arranged to have the fireplace feature wall finished in Venetian plastering. He also built a bespoke 2m wide unit in our lounge to house a lot of vintage vinyl. Simply an astonishing job. The quality and finish are superb. Plus, he has great manners, cleans up and is punctual. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My crummy photo doesn’t do it justice.
