Pete's work is exceptional, his level of detail is something to be admired. You really can tell the quality difference between furniture which is mass produced and furniture which has been crafted with many years of skill. Yes you have to wait, this isn't something that can be knocked up in a week but rather months. He has an eye for detail that impresses and you are left with not just a piece of quality furniture, but quality furniture that will last a life time. Pete made our bedroom wardrobe with 3 sliding doors with a mid section for drawers and shoe drawers with space for a TV at the top. To each side there are two compartments for hanging clothes each section being lit up when you slide open the door. There is also down lighters and power sockets inside the wardrobe. Upon completion I asked Pete for some office storage with file hangers, this also was done made to measure with every conceivable detail. I would highly recommend Pete for all your carpentry needs.

We had a very fiddly custom job - Peter made some oak mounts and re-purposed some original brass plates for period brass and Bakelite light switches that I wanted to fit in with our old property. It's hard to find someone with the patience to do a job like this! Delighted with result, Peter really took his time to understand and deliver exactly what was needed for a very reasonable price. Recommend!

Pete has made the perfect storage for our lounge. It's immaculately finished, and incredibly well thought through. We love it! He involved us throughout to make sure the storage met all our needs. There was also minimal disruption - with parts made in Pete's workshop and then fitted over a couple of days. Five stars aren't enough!

Had my hair restyled by Lewis at the Hair Shop. We talked through what I wanted to achieve and Lewis suggested what would suit me. I was totally happy with the results. I had to wash it this morning as it smelt of smoke and it was so easy to style and achieve the look I was after. The shop is well presented and clean. Will definitely be returning for a trim. If you are looking to shop local and need a hairdresser, I would highly recommend the Hair Shop and Lewis.

We had an issue at home with our boiler mate system which people who live on our estate and had a miller home know all about. I was recommended by a few neighbours to call Simon at Derby Plumbing Services and after a 5 minute phone call he turned his vehicle around from a job he was going to and came to us. After 45 minutes he had diagnosed the problem and fixed it rather than replacing an expensive circuit board. Amazing service and a very , very knowledgeable gent. Thank you Simon

Rang Simon with a central heating problem. He turned up later that day and quickly diagnosed the problem. A valve needed replacing. He came back and replaced the valve in the early evening. An excellent and efficient service.

Dave is a very skilful fitter and tiler and we also think it’s important to mention how respectful the whole team were when in our home. I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. He also put together a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Robert was very professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help us. He is a highly skilled handyman, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Would highly recommend Rob to anyone as he can turn his hand to many things and is trustworthy and reliable. Recently had my loft insulated and boarded and there was minimal disruption or mess. Rob reused the old boards where possible to keep the cost down and has also repaired a hole in the ceiling. Thanks to Rob and Charlie for their hard work.

I contacted Scott when I noticed my toilet was leaking. He came out to have a look straight away. Needed new pipe work ordering. Came back the next day and sorted it out - he even moved the toilet across slightly and boxed in the pipes - all for the quoted price. Excellent service.
