Excellent customer service from Dalton Roofing, especially Ruby, who took my enquiry, and Phil, who came out. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with another company. I paid them £100 for a roof inspection, and they quoted me hundreds of pounds for repairs that they deemed necessary, to put the roof in good order. The quote was rather vague, and I felt that it was leading to them finding more problems, and therefore charging me much more, if I agreed to them completing the work. I contacted Dalton Roofing, and explained my problem. My insurance company were insisting on a report, and work done, if it was deemed necessary, or my insurance would be invalid. This had to be by a reputable company who are part of a confederation. Thankfully my neighbour suggested contacting Dalton Roofing, which I did. Ruby was helpful on the phone, and arranged for Phil to visit the house today. He was very helpful, professional, and friendly. His inspection resulted in me being told that the roof is in good order, with no faults or problems, and will last for many years. Phil has restored my faith in decent, honest, and reliable companies, who are keen to maintain an excellent reputation. I will use Dalton Roofing if I need any work carried out in the future, and will be happy to recommend them to family and friends. Thanks Phil, I can sleep a lot better tonight.

Very impressed with Dalton Roofing. We had a number of leaks on an old roof and two other companies had tried to fix them without success. We contacted Dalton who came out very quickly to assess the issues. Phil explained the problems and gave me options to consider. He sent me a detailed quote on the same day which I accepted and the work was completed exactly on schedule. During the job, I spoke to Jake who was doing the work. He was great; he answered all my questions, explained what he had done in detail and gave me real confidence that he had understood and fixed the problems. Communication from Ruby at their office was also great. Overall, Dalton have been excellent and I'd recommend them without reservation.

I have just had Dalton Roofing re-point my chimney stack including replacing 4 broken roof tiles. They did a neat job of repointing etc to a very high standard, cleaned my gutters afterwards and swept my path and back yard. The roofers were very professional and decent lads who respected my property. As agreed by Dalton Roofing and myself, they roofers took before and after close up photos of the chimney stack. The admin team always kept me updated by email. I know this day and age finding a trustworthy roofer can be very difficult at times which is why I fell lucky finding Dalton Roofing. Prior to finding Dalton Roofing I had been messed about by a few roofing companies who were a bunch of greedy time wasters. Dalton are reasonably priced and work to a very high standard. I am very happy and feel rest assured that my chimney stack is structurally safe. Thank you Dalton Roofing.

James came out to fix a leak from our roof of unknown origin. Arrived exactly when he said he would for the quote, and exactly when he said to do the work. Really nice guy, took a video to show the problem and how he fixed it. Cant recommend enough. Will be keeping his number for any future roofing needs.

Really look forward to a visit to Village Green when I’m in Eyam - the food is delicious and creative, obviously made by people who care. This time, a delicious tomato fennel soup, and a chorizo toastie with chilli jam. Inside the cafe is cosy, but I especially love sitting at an outside table, watching the world go by

Small but perfectly formed, describes this venue! Plenty of outdoor seating, but weather was a little variable for that option when we visited. Lovely staff and food that tasted every bit as good as it looked. We had spinach and feta tart and a roasted veg, chilli jam, cheese toasty, both served with a delicious homemade coleslaw, and great coffee. Not the cheapest lunch out there, but definately worth the money.

Josh was the only roofer that got in touch to give me a quote for storm damage to my roof. As soon as I contacted him to say the job was his he arranged the scaffolders they was there very quickly. Josh then turned up the following morning to do the job, the work was completed that day. I would highly recommend Josh and I he will be my first call if I have anymore issues with my roof.

Absolutely recommend Josh and we haven't even had the work carried out as yet but we’re more than confident it will be spot on. Communication was outstanding, Josh turned up when he said he would and it was on a Sunday!!! Very polite and professional. He found the problem and is going to sort it. I will only be recommending JGR roofing from now on to my friends, family & clients as so many tradesman can't even answer the phone let alone turn up when promised. My flat roof was in a bad way and leaking badly. I had a few quotes which varied from £700 upwards. Some of the quotes appeared to be ridiculous and unrealistic. I finally made my choice of Jono and partners. What personable gentlemen. They came to my home and quoted me for the job and scaffolding. This was given in writing which made me feel comfortable in their practices, proving that they were not afraid to put money where their mouth is. Trust was both ways as no money was requested upfront. They trusted me to pay on completion and i trusted them to do a fantastic job. Scaffolding went up and in two days a new flat roof was under way. I asked Jono for proof of work by means of photos from start to finish. Jono delivered everything I asked and I was shocked at the state of my crumbling roof. After a full day's work my roof had been transformed accompanied with new facias. I was ecstatic with the end result as Jono delivered on his promise. For anyone reading this don't look any further. Your choice is Jono. You want a good job then I suggest you give him a call. I had two cowboys before Jono as there are too many people out there to take your money. Fortunately Jono is legitimate and honest restoring my faith in tradesmen.

Jono, Rob and Paul, a very personable team that work together well. Their work is to a very high standard with a level of detail second to none. Jono was the only roofer that looked at the existing detailing and offered a solution, most just wanted to use plastic where ours and the adjoining roof next door are aluminium trimmed. A lot of thought went into the fall and drainage of the roof, resulting in a slight redesign which offered better drainage. I would recommend Amber Flat Roofing to all and already have passed details to two neighbours, who are seeking quotes.

I am absolutely delighted with my new flat roof they have given me peace of mind. Although they planned to do it in two days due to weather it took three. Their cleaning up of the old roof was fantastic they did it very well leaving no waste behind. I totally recommend their services.

This is a wonderful, authentic village tea room. All home baked and delicious. We spoke to the owner who explained the history of the cottage and the 1600's barn that she has preserved and now serves as the indoor area of the tea room (there is an outdoor area too should the weather oblige!) The tea room is only open on Sundays and Mondays (currently) so if you are in Eyam - do yourself a favour and enjoy one of the best tea rooms anywhere!

A lovely cosy place to visit with a roaring fire and plenty of outdoor seating which would be perfect in the summer. Ordered the chocolate fudge cake (huge slice!) and warm scone with jam and cream which was needed after a long day’s walking.

Romantic vintage-style little tea room with indoor and outdoor seating, tucked away on the edge of Eyam. Cakes are homemade, fresh and tasty, tea and coffee good quality and generous portions. The owner is lovely, an interesting person to speak to and goes the extra mile where service is concerned. Can recommend highly. Savoury food and Sunday dinners also on offer.

Must visit in Eyam! Although we’ve arrived 5 minutes before closure (open on Sundays 11am-5pm) the lovely host made us tea and served us her delicious, with love home baked scones. The tea was served with cute cups and cutlery. We sat in the beautiful outside area with flowers blooming. We have been invited to roam around in the private garden and look at all the flowers. Due to network problems, the card machine didn’t work but the friendly lady offered us to transfer the money once we would have reception again - this is pure kindness and trust in people which is rare to find these days. The visit at the tea house was the highlight of the day and we would recommend it to everyone! Dog friendly.

Simon came and gave me a price to replace ridge tiles, repoint the chimney, fix a new chimney cowl and replace the lead flashing The crew who came to do the job were brilliant and kept me informed. I contacted Simon and he came round to give me a quote on a leaking flat roof. The quote price was as expected. Due to the weather his team could not do the repair on my flat roof straight away, but as soon as the weather improved and he could fit my repair in he sent his team round. 3 of them came and i could not fault them. They were all polite and kept me informed. The job was completed in a day but a a small area was missed. As soon as i spoke to Simon the day after when he came to take payment he understood and sorted the missed area straight away with no issues and before i had to pay. His team came round within half an hour and fixed the missed area. Brilliant. All rubbish was cleared from my drive as promised and the flat roof looks so good now. I would definitely contact Simon again and would recommend them to others who need a roof repair. Thank you Simon and the team.

Tansy did my wedding makeup and my bridesmaids makeup. Tansy stayed with us all morning from 7:30 until 11 she put us all at ease the whole time she was there making us laugh and feel relaxed. Tansy waited patiently while we had our hair done so that she could top up our makeup perfectly after we’d put on our dresses. She even helped with other little jobs while she was there like looking for the Flourist’s car. Our makeup looked fantastic and stayed perfectly all day even after dancing! Would definitely recommend for bridal makeup.

This salon came recommended to me by a friend. The girls here are fantastic, Sophie did my nails and she was fabulous - I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Tansy was great, did my make up for my (very) last minute COVID wedding and Ellen did my hair – they both were really accommodating and really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I got so many compliments! Would recommend them to anyone.
