The Best Cafes in Sandwell, West Midlands, United Kingdom (2025)

I have not been here in a few years, but must say after my visit today and new owners, I would recommend Kenzie's Kitchen. Very clean and modern cafe, welcoming & friendly staff. The food was superb, I had bacon, sausage, egg, black puddling & Tom dip sandwich, the bread was lovely and fresh, bacon, sausage and egg were cooked perfectly. Good presentation, good portion size and served hot. I will be returning. Well done & keep up the good service.

I ordered a large and small breakfast from here on just eat.. The food arrived in good time, food was still hot and cooked perfect even the eggs were done great and the mushrooms were lively cooked and big too, the best mushrooms I've had in a while ... I loved the fact the the beans and tomatoes came in little seperate pots of thier own too. This is definitely my new place to order a brekky from. Would recommend.

Absolutely delicious 😋 best breakfast ever tasty sausages, eggs cooked to perfection, best mushrooms we have ever eaten(i want to know how to cook them). Went there for 2nd time, was properly "Hank Marvin"! From the second I walked in, friendly "Hello love, what would you like?" I went for the "Big breakfast". As not a fan of baked beans, asked if possible not to have, but could I have an extra bit of black pudding instead. Wasn't an issue. I also asked if the black pudding could be "well done" (as don't like it when although cooked, it's still "raw in the middle" (just a personal preference). Again, "No problem, might just take a minute or 2 longer if that's OK?" Which to me, appreciated this, good things come to those who wait etc... and they did not disappoint! 2 bread and butter (could have had toast if wanted instead), mug of tea, all included in the price (so no "hidden extras"). Salt, pepper, sauce all on the table ready to put on (none of those stupid sachets that you have to rip open (plastic or paper, adding to unnecessary waste or "10p per sachet" etc...) All in, £7.00. Bargain! Had a nice chat about things going on in the world, Nat was fantastic. Food was fantastic. The best "little hidden but once you know where it is" little gem of a place, fantastic! Going back again tomorrow...

Great little cafe .called in today and got myself a sausage bacon and egg butty .and what a butty it was best £3.40 spent served in xtra thick bread and served and cooked the 2 lady’s in there presumably one is called nat .and both are very friendly and welcoming .see you again soon lady’s thank you 👍😁

A great little cafe the service here is great the girls are fun and helpful there's a reason why this place is busy it's because it's good and well priced always love the food here.

An amazing establishment, highly recommend if you’re looking for a breakfast/brunch spot. High quality food with authentic homemade twists. Tomatoes were seasoned lovely, the homemade beans were so flavourful and not your typical out the can rubbish. Potato rosti perfectly seasoned, best breakfast Ive had in Birmingham! The hot drinks were top quality too!

I was here at 8am this morning. Clean, bright and airy. Friendly staff. Locals who knew the staff were constantly coming in while I was there, having a chat which made for a good atmosphere. The ingredients were all very good quality including the coffee; the home made beans and rosti were really nice and unique. I was very happy and very satisfied, thoroughly recommended.

The perfect neighbourhood place. I don't live locally and was only stopped by for breakfast but it was really lovely. The food was great, the service was so friendly and it was amazing to be in a place run by people who love it. I wish I could come by more often. If you have the chance to stop by, absolutely do it's worth your time and money.

I've been going to Paul's for a while now as the perfect spot to stop on a day browsing up and down Harborne high street. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming, and even when it gets busy the team will do their best to let you know when seating will be available and offer to get in touch to let you know so you can continue shopping while you wait. The food is always amazing, there's a range of items on offer, all day brunch, great lunch options, sweet dishes and cakes, all to suit a range of appetites and dietary requirements. There's so many good options I've often had difficulty deciding and the team have been helpful in helping advise and adapting where possible. Would recommend Paul's to anyone visiting the area!

Being a bit of a coffee snob I like a nice strong bold coffee with the flat white and when I saw it wasn’t a typical brand moving into the centre I was nervous. It’s been lovely so far and quality is really high. Staff are chatty and pleasant. I’ve only had the odd cake there so far and my lad certainly loved the chocolate muffin There is a decent menu in place and not just packaged panini either. You are going to see a few comments on pricing no doubt and it’s worth it for a decent effort Slightly marked down for the atmosphere as when the centre is busy the cafe is busy just not with customers and that detracts from the coffee/cafe experience

Well that's another 5* from me. Having enjoyed two visits to the Birmingham branch and in possession of free time and a free bus pass I made a pilgrimage to where it all started (I assume). A friendly welcome and a nice cup of coffee (I don't normally comment on coffee but this was good). I was going to try something "exotic" (I'm from the cultural desert that is Bournville) but "Fish Fingers, Spicy Beans and Cheese Sandwich" (!!!) - so unexpected in a Desi café and a satisfying combination of crisp toast and smooth beans and then crunchy-soft fingers. I can't say I'm a fan of the music - but then it was suitable the younger clientele and staff present (Birmingham Branch plays Aretha and Dionne - more my generation) Just the mini-house in West Bromwich to go and I have the set.

Highly recommend this place! I was passing by this place as I was driving from Manchester. It was early morning and I ordered myself the all in breakfast, now the all in breakfast was 10/10, the portion was very heavy, i couldn’t finish it all for £13.95 comes with a cup of hot drink too. Parking is available right outside the store aswell!

Highly recommend this place, the staff/owners are awesome and so is the food you can have a great laugh and lose track of time. Iv been coming here for a while now, the portions are huge and good enough to start your day off because you don’t feel hungry for a long time. Today I had the perfect large breakfast which came with a mince pie and it was amazing. the photos don’t do justice but the plate of food compared to my thumb just shows the great portion. Thank you so much for the great food

A charming, smoky atmosphere. Great, attentive service by a well rounded group of service orientated staff. I would recommend, just a shame its not open for evening service, as i would fine there for dinner too ….and plenty parking for my big rig!

Great little place. Breakfast tasty and fresh. Nice friendly and welcoming owners who care you have a good experience. Definately a favourite place to be. Will be back again!

Staff are very friendly and the Breakfasts are definitely delicious. Sandwiches are well filled. Excellent value for money. Next time I'm over I'll be eating here again.

Had a wonderful late breakfast served by Julie herself! A lovely lady serving great food along the canal. We had the Croque Madame and split it, at her suggestion. It's a very generous portion, nice ham, and 2 eggs on top. Her scones looked good, but sadly had no room to try them! So we will definitely be back! Attentive staff and a relaxed conversation with Julie. Fun art and whimsical signs in the two room inside seating. Highly recommend it!

The atmosphere in this café is truly delightful. From the moment we walked in, the two ladies, who I believe are the owners, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Their friendliness and the cozy ambiance they’ve created really set this café apart from the more mainstream spots in Birmingham—it feels like a home away from home. The coffee and Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious, and I’m excited to try more from their menu. A charming touch is their well-behaved dog, who politely sits on a chair, greeting every customer as they arrive. The outdoor seating area is a great addition, with umbrellas for shade and blankets available if it gets chilly. They have a lovely view of the canals. Overall, it’s a wonderfully inviting place that I’ll definitely visit again and happily recommend to everyone I know.

Whatever the event Ju Ju’s can pretty much look after you. Revisit for one of their Sunday roasts. I was looking forward to it for 3 days. When I sat down they let me know about the specials that day. Boy, I had a massive decision to make. I went with the roast. I've always told people their style of cooking is like getting a hug. It's like sitting in a living room and surrounded by loved ones. Past and present.

Amazing place, we liked the decoration, the view on the canal and the staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We will come back if we visit Birmingham again :)
