Review: A Delightful Brunch Date Spot Yesterday, we decided to try out Bloom for a halal brunch date. It’s a cozy spot that’s gained quite a reputation, so we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype. As soon as we arrived, we noticed how busy it was—always a promising sign. Despite the crowd, the line moved surprisingly fast, and the staff was impressively organized. While we waited, the lively buzz of conversations and the sight of colorful dishes being served heightened our anticipation. We ordered hot chocolate, vanilla latte, waffle chicken and croque Madame. We also couple of their pastries.The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The service was another highlight. Even with the packed house, the staff remained attentive and quick to address requests. Our food arrived in under 20 minutes, which is no small feat given how busy it was. If I had to nitpick, it would be the noise level. It’s not the place for a quiet, intimate conversation, but honestly, the energy felt infectious rather than overwhelming. Overall, Bloom delivered on all fronts: delicious food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s definitely worth a visit, whether it’s for a casual date or a meet-up with friends. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd—it’s popular for a reason!

A great place, warm welcome, I enjoyed brunch, the service was excellent. The big bloom breakfast was flavoursome and light. Enjoyed the mango lassi and dessert. You must try the Coconut French Toast. Suhail and staff were great.Definitely recommend this place.

I had a wonderful visit to Bloom today with my mum, auntie, and younger brother. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the lovely staff and promptly seated, which set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The atmosphere at Bloom is perfect – comfortable, laid-back seating that makes it an ideal spot for a family outing. Plus, we found parking conveniently right outside, which made the whole experience even easier. The menu offers a wide variety of tempting breakfast and lunch options, as well as an impressive selection of drinks. We ordered the Full English Breakfast, Classic French Toast, and English Breakfast Tea. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and just as delicious as we’d hoped. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Overall, we were all thoroughly impressed with the food and service. Bloom truly stands out as one of the best breakfast spots in Birmingham, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast or brunch experience. It’s definitely one of my top 3 spots in the city!

I recently visited Black Orange Coffee and had a great experience. I ordered a latte, and the cup was quite large, which I appreciated. The latte art was beautifully done, and the taste was quite good. For the cake, I tried the salted caramel, and it was delicious – perfectly balanced in flavor. I also tasted my friend's crispy butter bun, and it was equally delicious. As for the cinnamon roll, while it was tasty, it wasn't quite to my personal liking. The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean, cozy, and spacious. Overall, a great spot for coffee and treats!

very authentic hong kong style milk tea and crispy bun with thick layer of butter. bemindful that crispy bun only available from 930am and it sold out quick. the croissants were exceed expectation as well, much better than many bakeries. the black orange coffee was surprising refreshing, definitely worth trying. the only thing that i could complain was thetes no parking outside the cafe, you need to park in nearby morrison.

I am from Ukraine where the coffee drinking culture is very developed. Ukrainians know a lot about excellent coffee. I have been living in the UK for almost 3 years now and during this time I really missed the good taste of coffee, I tried coffee almost everywhere and in large chain cafes and restaurants but it was just disgusting. And finally I found that very real taste, real aroma, really tasty coffee. I am incredibly happy to come here almost every day. I want to separately say about the wonderful service and cleanliness. We have visited this Cafe many times now and we absolutely love it- if you are in Knowle, you must visit this place. The staff here are so welcoming and attentive, and very engaging with our young children which is lovely to see, and its great to see genuine beaming smiles. The food is of excellent quality, comes out hot and full of flavour. The decor is modern, contemporary, comfortable and clean. Overall its a pleasurable experience everytime we dine here and we are already looking forward to our next visit after visiting only this morning. Thank you Paul and team. See you again very soon.

Paul, Hayley, Loren and the team make this place feel like home, and whether you live in the area or coming from away, you'll always be made to feel like that. As well as having the most photogenic and tasty food and drinks, for someone who always takes photos of that. Great breakfast, Iwe we served immediately, the cafe only had two people sat down. Whilst we were sitting and looking at the menu, the cafe got busier. We ordered a breakfast each one was the lighter breakfast and I ordered the crossover. With a tea each, the serving size for the lighter breakfast was good to keep the hunger at bay I enjoyed a slightly bigger meal with the crossover. Definitely a nice little cafe I would recommend.

This really is the most loveliest little place to enjoy coffee and breakfast. Every time I’ve popped in here Hayley is always so welcoming and friendly. The coffee is perfect and the food is definitely the best around. The Chef is brilliant and it’s a real treat to spend an hour or so here. A really beautiful place to go. My favourite by far!

Loved the vibe of this cafe, the food was excellent too. They've got houseplants and cacti, plus cards and art for sale. We had pancakes and smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs, and both dishes were tasty and good value. The only low point was the food took a while to come out, but they'd just had a food delivery so were quite busy. Overall, a great place for brunch right on knowle high street. We'll be visiting again.

Loved this place. We were passing through the area and looking for somewhere convenient to stop off and eat lunch. All the food was fresh and delicious. (We had sandwiches, salad and pastries.) The place was lovely and bright, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face!

Oh well, what can I say. What a place! Such a little gem. We visited Knowle on our way home from a national trust house. Feeling pretty peckish we found this little gem. The huge meringues in the window drew us in and then we realised there was a restaurant at the back. We were quickly approached and seated. Our waitress was lovely. After struggling to decide which course to choose (the menu offers so many delicious options)I went for the aubergine parmigiana. OH MY GOODNESS. This has to be one of the best meals I’ve eaten in my life. So simple and served with delicious bread, it was divine and so flavoursome. My partners lasagne was gorgeous too. Hats off to the chef! The cakes and treats in the shop were beautiful too. Such an authentic place, with a lovely vibe and feel. Very busy so a popular haunt I think! We may have taken dessert away with us! Thanks for a memorable visit.

Very quaint and cute and beautiful food - a feast for the eyes and the stomach! Particularly enjoyed watching our lunch being prepared from our seat. A really special place, will come again!

Surprised to learn that tapas are available, which are great alternatives to regular cafe food. Barca is the deep fried whitebait which was all crunchy and umami. Toledo is shrimp with mushroom in pepper etc which was YUM. Best thing is, the large coffee is still MASSIVE!
