It’s very rare I ever give top marks for everything but…. Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. Ive never eaten a roast dinner in a restaurant and thought it was better than my own, but the black horse is on a level with mine but their meat was way better. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, approachable and friendly. The dessert was 🤌🏻💋 chefs kiss. The garden is a really lovely spot and it’s just a really chilled out vibe good for all ages and families too. They replenished the food constantly and it smelt amazing. The lamb was so tender and flavourful. Love this place will definitely be recommending and coming back regularly. 10/10
Ate at this pub whilst staying at a local hotel. Food was delicious, portions huge and prices very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you.
Best pub around. Never had a better carvery at a pub either. Great portions, friendly landlord&lady. Pepper leeks something a bit different and very tasty
Had a fabulous family Christmas lunch today 23rd Dec 2024. Eight adults, six children aged from 8 to 1 year old. With great grandma at 91 Staff friendly food excellent atmosphere was really good. Would recommend this to everyone. Thank you The Black Horse
The carvery roast looked quite impressive for meat eaters, however, I had the veg nutroast and it wasn't a nutroast that I've ever experienced before. It wasn't great, but all of the veg sides were nice and the desert was really good. Probably best for meat eaters there. Good prices for the carvery also.
